      @v-corps 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@13thera21 I wouldn't say heavily influenced. There is some influence.
      Majority of people known today as "Arabs" are not genetically of Arab ancestry. The "Arab" identity is simply based on language. If you speak Arabic as your first language you are an Arab.
      The culture of many regions of India has lots of Persian influences specifically Northern India. For centuries Persianised dynasties ruled over much of present-day India. The most notable dynasty was ofcourse Mughal Empire. Mughals were not Persian but they became Persianised in many things.
      Urdu and Hindi which originated in present-day Northern India have Persian influences (Urdu has more Persian language influence than Hindi but Hindi also has Persian influence. Even the word "Hindi" comes from Persian. Indian Biryani is origanally Persian dish that emerged in Mughal Era. There are many other Persian cultural influences in India.
      Northern India has many Persian influences but obviously I am not going to call North Indians as Persians.

    I miss the sensation of travelling and meet the locals and get invited in their private houses. Sometimes there are some language barriers but always I feel so much love with these encounters

      Sanskrit and Ancient Iranian were sister languages, back then culture was also close. The problem is India became isolated after 1947 and lost all its connection with Iran/Central Asia. Now Indians are so different

    Azerbaijanis are Iranians. Azer means fire and baygan means safe keeping. It’s was always one of the main Zoroastrian centers. The current “country” of Azerbaijan was formed by breaking it away from greater Iran 150 yrs ago. It was part of Iran for thousands of years.
