"In Bruges" and "Banshees of Inisherin" are some of the best movies out there. Martin Mcdonagh, Colin Farrel and Brendan Gleeson are a match made in heaven.
Such gentlemen. I love Colin's smile. Just so open and easy. And Brendan is so kind and such a talented musician as well as an actor. Both are truly special men.
Most people might first remember Brendan in Braveheart but I first remember him playing Michael Collins in The Treaty and he was f**king epic!!!! One of my fav Irish men💚☘️
West coast of Ireland is totally fantastic - beautiful countryside, wonderful friendly people, and magnificent views of the Atlantic. And the Cliffs of Moher - everyone should take that hike along them, even if they are terrified of heights!
Yes. Accents are strange. I watched David Tennant sounding very British in a show on the telly, then in an interview sounded sooo Scottish. Knocked me over. I have no talent for effecting accents but would like to have.😏
I like Brandon Gleason's answer about favorite places- I got a lot of em but I aint saying em- lol. Not a quote but pretty much what he's getting at. I respect it, some of my favorite places have become so tourist filled you have to get reservations or a shuttle just to access it these days
Had a summer fling with Colin in Miami 21 years ago. It was a great time, just like he says about the LA debauchery. We weren’t mad wild, but it was quite memorable. Colin likes to embellish a lot. The Irish have a knack for that. In fact, all my Irish friends have that tendency and do as well. They love to tell a story more exciting. It’s fun to listen to him. 🤣🤣🫶
@@heggemd I agree, I like their lightweight, cavalier view. Most of my Irish friends tell a good story, but Colin changed a few things that were not correct, to make the story more engaging. So, yes, they tell a good story either way. 🤣🤣👏👏
Didn’t go over the heads of the American Irish that were taught our heritage and had the home country in our house. That’s why many American born say we’re Irish. My kids born in the 80’s know the Chieftains!
@@Mustangs73 Plenty of Irish people wouldn't necessarily know who The Chieftains are either...It's not a qualifier for Irishness. Being raised in Ireland is. Irish culture doesn't transfer to America without being changed into something different, whether you've got Irish ancestry or not. It's fine to say you're Irish American but you're not Irish.

2 great actors in a great movie ... Captivating and profound .. and hilarious at times .. both deserving of the Oscar 💖💖
They are like brothers! Banshees of Innershin is so good and really plays off their relationship. Best movie of 2022

Finally asked a great question Regg! 💕👍
I’ve heard of Castletownbare and I think I’ve been there by chance but I’m not sure. I have been to Ireland more times than I know.
Farrell spent time in Castletownbere while filming Neil Jordan's 2009 film "Ondine". Probably where his son Henry was conceived 🤔
Fucking legends on that couch tn
James Corden does a LOT of talking when he interviews other people
I love these two
God bless the Irish

Brendan Gleeson-loved him in Mr Mercedes 👍
LA cool place but not the nicest. Lots of talent but they don’t work and therefore more miserable than anything else.

Good claim to fame
Everyone embellishes from time to time, it's not "an irish thing".
That’s not embellishing, it’s just good story telling, one of the beautiful things the Irish do well. It’s simply the way they view the world.
