Hopefully soon I will visit Ireland. I’ve seen so many films, TV shows set in Republic and Northern Ireland and I’m obsessed with their stunning landscapes.
I very much enjoyed everything everywhere all at once but I do think that Martin should have gotten best director instead. EEAO’s strength wasn’t really in its direction. Banshees was so well directed.
I feel a little bit for the Irish, they deserved to win at least one of the big awards, but didn't and they got the piss taken out of them in the movie Banshees of Inisherin at the same time. Not very nice and most of these awards went to the most popular rather than the most talented???
We won two awards . We were nominated for 14. We did really well for a tiny country with a small population. Very proud of Barry Keoghan and everyone else
Compelling film for such an obscure script. Farrell and Gleeson were impeccable in their performances. The film is just ingenious in how it evolves. Deserves all the plaudits.
I am convinced Janet Yang, president of the Academy since 2022, has something to do with the majority of Asian tinted Oscars this year. Honestly I am completely disgusted. Having been a rather mediocre star herself, I think she preferred the loud and hectic Asian products instead of the beauty, the poetry of Ireland and its first brand actors. And in my opinion that is the only reason why the Banshees had not one single Oscar at all. Very happy for All quiet… well deserved awards, but yet not enough. Very bitter for the wonderful crew of The Banshees… (signed: an unconditional ☘️ ❤)
@Myriam Lateur Colin Farell is a good actor. I never said he wasn't. But I happened to think that this young Austin Butler who put his heart and soul into his movie, and all his hard work paid off. He achieved what some of the previous actors who played Elvis did not really achieve. He may not be a genius like your guy but I salute him for doing the impossible and the fact that the Presley family too praised his work and talent, well what more can I say. By the way, Colin's son is such a cutie.😊
