i just got a portrait 4 and am watching these excited to get mine in the mail :) i started making stickers and cutting them by hand has been a little too much work 😅 thanks so much for this offer!
How smooth of a cut are we talking about here? Is the outer edges in any way jagged or pixelated? This is what means the most to me (i believe the term is "tolerance" )
My cuts are good, I'm still experimenting on what blade/pass works best for my needs. Occasionally I get a little bit of fuzz but I think that depends on the type of sticker sheet you're using. I always try to do a quality check before I put my stickers up for sale.
Hello. Awesome video! I have a huge problem and was wondering if you could help? The cut will sometimes be 0.5 to 1mm off to the right or to the left randomly, and sometimes it’s perfectly centered. It’s no glossy. The calibration is perfectly centered and the lenght of the line too. I have the 5.02 for Portrait 3. Is that the latest firmware update? I tried finding the information on websites but couldn’t find anything.
Have you tried downgrading the software down to 4.4.945? I have a pinned comment in here that's like a "how to" if you need it. I will say, I deal with this too on occasion, but it doesn't happen to all my stickers. I always try to do a quality check. And I'll just give the bad ones away as freebees.
My aunt gave me her old Silhouette which is really awful to work with even after switching the blade now Im thinking about getting the portrait 3. Im so afraid I will phase the same problems and spend so much money for it being the same. Like the old silhouette cuts slightly of but I never know why. Everything looks perfect on the pc.

Hey! I have the exact same Silhouette Portrait 3. I got it on Tuesday. I want to type a message on my shirts. How do I do that? I have been trying to figure it out.
Admittedly I haven't tried making shirts. But the process should be similar to what I've laid out here. Get the image you're looking for and program the machine to cut or draw the design. If you're looking to draw something, the pen comes separately I think. Or are you trying to cut fabric like felt or something with it? I haven't tried that either. But it'd be interesting to look into. I'm sure there are plenty of tshirt making videos on here, this one is for stickers only.
I've heard the silhouette is a little more user friendly. Which is why I went that route. I've had a few issues with mine, but I think I did a decent job of outlining workarounds in my video and in my comments.
Gurl same 💀 o just found out that my cricut joy can't be calibrated and that's why it doesn't possess the print then cut feature, it's only meant to cut through unused paper. My chest hurts rn XD I'd seen this machine as a recommendation on Amazon earlier so having it as a recommendation on TH-cam too feels like destiny lol just... I'll now make sure to get my research done intensely well this time :'D
@@cbubs_art I can bend them but they return to their original position. Also the lamination peels off sometimes. I'm thinking about giving up lamination and just buy vinyl paper.
@@cbubs_art thank you dear ❤❤and can you please make tutorial of the peel off seprate stickers which are need to be peel but not attach to the single sheet of paper how I make.you understand well dear ❤❤❤please it's a request ❤❤
@@talent_7bolta_h i think that's called a kiss cut. You can adjust your settings for that :) but I'll make another video as well. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@cbubs_art hey dear I have one last query so sorry to bother you again and again but it's just last that can we use pen or maker instead of needle if we want to draw something on card like cricut joy does if yes then how also make video on it also and if no then their is no problem sister❤❤🥰

Thanks so much! That's actually why I decided to make my own video. Hope I can do more like it in the future

@@cbubs_art the problem is that I’m making sticker sheets and if one or a few are off, I won’t sell them… it happens too often.
@@VeganGaymer I see, well try downgrading the software and maybe that will help. I had more issues with the newer one. Don't know why.
@@cbubs_art hks for the help.
Omg thank you!!! N i was wondering why the blade wasnt cutting 😂😂
Yess!!! This was the main reason I decided to make my own tutorial. I didn't see that mentioned anywhere.

Are you sure you're lining it up correctly? Sometimes the lines can be misleading.
Looking at your result, my cameo 4 doesn’t cut this accurately 😢😭 I’ve been using it for like 2 years now I’ve tried everything to fix it.
I haven't looked into this, but could you recalibrate it?
Hiii.🌸is there a difference between Silhouette Portrat 3 and Silhouette portrait 4? Please🌺
@@LolaGinaTenorio not sure tbh. I just got the 3 for its compact design. Looks like the 4 is expandable, so that seems like a good benefit.
Cute.
Glad you liked it!

Please, what kind of laminating film did you use? Thank you for your answer
I switched to this: Avery Clear Laminating Sheets, 9" x 12", Permanent Self-Adhesive, 10 Sheets (73603) a.co/d/bm3hpEq
i am thinking about switching to silhouette because my cricut is driving me crazy and i am very close to burn it :')

do you know if i can do the same with a portail 2?
I haven't used the portrait 2, but I don't see why not. If you look at my pinned comment, I am using an older silhouette studio
interesting. I did it withc the pouch and they all came out super ridig and hardened. yours didn't seem like that.
Mine come out a bit stiff too, but still flexible. Is it somewhat bendable?

@@mestayno hmm sorry to hear that process didn't work for you. You could try to get a laminator used for pretty cheap too
@@cbubs_art I'm doing it with a thermal laminator :D I think I'm not going to laminate. Vinyl will do

Do you need a computer to use the portrait?
Yes. It's possible you could use an iPad, but I haven't tried that.
Which printer colour are you using for printing
Printer color depends on the type of printer that you have. My Canon ip8720 needs PGI-250 and CLI-251 printer ink.
im so dumb. i thought the portrait did printing and cutting hahaha
You're not alone, I thought that too 😁
Silhouette is not user friendly
