Hi everyone!! It's been a while since I've uploaded a tutorial, and I'm really excited to share this detailed step by step tutorial for how to make stickers using procreate and Silhouette Portrait 2! It's been such a great tool for my shop and I hope that it is helpful for you all!! 😊

if you use procreate to design, a really handy trick is to export a version with a transparent background! The silhouette program automatically follows the outlines of transparent pieces so you wont need to do it manually!
This is super helpful! I found out recently that you can use the rounded box feature in Silhouette Studio so you don't have to cut the corners yourself! Huge time saver :)

Thank you again! And obviously I have one doubt/ question - how should I set the blade if I want to use washi (like) paper? I'm trying to make a sheet to decorate my 2024 journal and would like to have it on 2 small sheets. It will probably be waaay different setting than white sticker paper...

Lovely 🌷 im also buying a portrait after leaving my bigger machine in the city. Maybe perhaps next time if u want, u can separate the sticker designs (png) from the background then put the cutting lines then just group them together afterwards. I think this can help u save more time in a way so u dont have to manually remove the excess marks🌷💜

Hi, thank you for the video. Is it possible to import a pdf file that already contains the cut contour? I usually add the contour lines in affinity designer. For example online printing services often ask for a certain contour name like "kiss_cut" and a magenta contour color in the source file.

on 11:35 how do you have 3 option instead 1? you have a red and purple box. How did you do that?
Seems like there are ways to optimize this:
1. Offset funtion is also available in photoshop if you have the subscription
2. Sticker sheets can be quickly dupliated and aligned in silhouette studio paid versions. This way machine will have border info to cut so you don't have to manually draw them
3. The borders can be cut through via cut setting to avoid manual ripping, which could generate rough edges
4. As people mentioned, just design the sheet to be round cornered, portrait will cut it

In this case I make a note of the position (X/Y) of my printed stuff and move it out of the working area. Then you see all the cutting lines and can work with them better. (Nevertheless the software is very delicate as the objects could be moved by only a simple mouse click - so you still need to be careful.) Afterwards you can put the printing layer back again by entering the previous X/Y coordinates.
This is so cute. When I do kiss cut, the stickers came out with dust. How do I prevent that from happening?
this is so helpful! thank you. but what i'm wondering is, why set the cut force to 3-4? my sticker paper is somewhere around 270 gsm, how's yours? how can i know the force that's perfect to kiss-cut for my paper weight?

Hi! I've been watching a lot of your videos recently while I work! I got my Silhouette Portrait 3 brand new, tried it immediately and all cuts were perfect but after about 20-ish print&cuts, it started having misaligned cuts on the lower left side of the paper. Have you experienced this too? I tried calibrating and changing the mat but those didn't work :( My only workaround is to move the offset/cutlines a few mm. Works most of the time but it's a bit time consuming. Hope you can help, thanks!
did you try putting the paper in a different spot of the mat?
i don't have a silhouette but i have a cricut and it sometimes happens so i just put the piece of paper a little right from where it's supposed to be

Can you tell me about your dimensions on the canvas because that’s procreate right? I just recently started to make stikers on my portrait 3 but when I make my design’s on procreate they came wired when imprinted them but I have a cricut maker and when I make the same design on the cricut the print came perfect but via silhouette the print came like the lines were moving during printing but the same design on cricut came perfect 🤷🏻♀️I know sounds confusing

What version of silhouette studio do you have? Also, do you know if you’re laptop has the M1 chip? Because I’ve been having a lot of issues with printing from silhouette studio 🙁 but you’re stuff is super cute and adorable!!
I have the software that came with the portrait 2!! My laptop is the MacBook Pro 13 inch, it doesn't have the M1 chip but it works great! 😊
Hi Syrah, I unfortunately have the same problem. I finally made decision to buy Silhouette (Cameo version) but first I wanted to check silhouette studio. And always when I want to edit something the silhouette studio crashes (after few minutes). I have macbook air with M1 chip (actual ventura and newest silhouette studio). Unfortunately I can't find more information about it, do you have some any news?

what did you use to print the stickers?
I used to be able to use the the trace and offset function just like you are doing but it isn't working anymore. I don't know if it the IOS system on my mac or what. I have tried everything even silhouette can't help me.
