Thanks for sharing a balanced view! I also experience the slight misalignment on Portrait 4, especially towards the bottom right of the mat, where the cut lines move up. Also random 'scratches' where there is kiss + die cut setting, especially on 3rd party mats (seems to be okay on the original Portrait 4 mat). Another gripe is portrait 4's accessories are so hard to come by (the specific 8.5 x 12 in mat)! At least in my country!
On one hand - good to know, that I'm not the only one, but on the other hand - sad, that it's not working for you as well. 😔 And yes, the accessories are hard to come by. I have been thinking about maybe getting the Silhouette electrostatic mat, but it's quite expensive.
How often do you have misalignments occur? And what do you do to correct the alignment when you notice it’s off? My wife and I just bought a portrait 4 because we were getting so many mis-cuts with our cricut. Hoping it’s better with silhouette 🤞
They happen quite often (every 2nd or 3rd page), but they vary in severeness. For die-cut stickers, it might be so small that you might not really notice it (especially, if you add some extra bleed). As for sticker sheets - that's where I see misalignments more. But again, I try to "squeeze" in 4 sticker sheets on one page, if you print them bigger (for example, 2 on one page), you might not have the same issue. I'll keep my fingers crossed, that it works perfectly for you guys 🤞
Hi! Maybe what happens is that it misreads the registration marks, it gets confused easily, it happened to me a lot before and ultimately they all turn out fine since I discovered that. When the machine starts reading, it usually gets confused with the last mark. When it doesn't read it correctly, I put a piece of white paper glued to the mark that it is reading wrong. I don't know if I explained myself well haha😅
@@kristadraws Sometimes that message appears, but mostly it reads a registration mark that does not exist, for example, the laminate that you put on it confuses the machine, that's why I put a small piece of white adhesive paper just before the registration mark. I'm sorry if I don't explain well that English is not my first language hahah
Thank you for doing this :) hope you succeed and keep getting more successful!

You explained really well 👍Does it also say "registration failed" when it doesn't read the last mark for you?

@@Papeldepapier - I don't laminate my sticker sheets, though - and I still have the same issue 😥 But I will check with the laminated ones 👍
By laminated i think they meant the glowy/prism contact paper you put on the paper at the start @@kristadraws
