    • @joemarais7683
      @joemarais7683 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

Eh the space isn’t a big deal tbh. You’ll probably be forced into buying a sff case supporting an ATX psu and 4 slot like the Meshilicious, but if you’re already spending $1600+ on a gpu, $140 for an accommodation case and riser isn’t a deal breaker.

Kepler, maxwell and pascal all had similar increases. And before that the average was somewhere around 60% gen over gen. So this is indeed back to the same standards that we were used to seeing, with features on top. We did sacrifice a couple generations of stagnation for those though.

This is the performance gains that we expected to see from 2080 Ti to 3080 Ti/3090. But it took them this long to reach that matrics. Glad the 4000 isn't just overhyped their performance. They actually exceed expectations.

Things I love about this video:
    - general approach to presenting your data with graphs, frame viewing and comparisons with other GPUs
    - the test rig that you used (almost exactly what I have bar the motherboard
    - your mad game skills!
Awesome video, I watched this one first before all the other noise! Thank you

just bought myself a 3080 for 700 bucks. im definitely happy with my 3080 but i cant lie that 4090 performance is absolutely insane. i cant believe im saying this but i have to agree i think the 4090 is correctly priced.

Considering Nvidia and Intel have been known to buy good reviews, this was absolutely bought.
    1. Gamers Nexus showed it hitting almost 500 watts on more than one occasion
    2. You exclusively chose benchmarks that were in the 2x range while almost all reviewers agree in will get a 50-80% rastur buff at 4k max settings
    3. There is no world where $1,600 is okay and all other reviewers agree with that. We used to be able to get top tier consumer performance for $700 and titan class performance for $1,000. Prices like the lock out a vast majority of gamers who crave the latest and greatest. By pricing this out of reach for most they cator exclusively to their customers with deep pockets while ignoring their primary audience.
    4. You just sound like you don't believe what you're saying, almost like there's a nvidia representative holding you hostage.
    5. Other reviewers made it very clear that DLSS 3.0 is very similar in its issues to DLSS 1.0 and is definitely better suited as an early stage DLSS replacement instead of a flushed out upgrade

Na come one dude don't fall for it and say the 4090 isn't overpriced at 1600 bucks because you're comparing it to the 3090 at 1500 bucks. That's the exact trap Nvidia set up because the 3090 was always ridiculous and over priced at 1500 dollars. So the fact the 4090 is only 100 more doesn't change the fact it's 100 more than a previously overpriced card. That's not really a fair comparison that's just a marketing trap. "Look it's only $100 more than our previous 3090 even though our 3090 was ridiculously overpriced" Not to mention the 3090ti at 2000. They made the prices on those cards ridiculous to normalize it and convince you that type of pricing is worth it.

What would you reccomend for power supplies with the FormD T1 and the 4090? There are not a whole lot of options for SFX, until Q4 2022 (FSP Dagger) with the Gen5 PCiE being added along with some other SFX PSU.

5:05 Will wait for more detailed analyses on DLSS 3 and frame generation especially because of the potential latency penalty is larger on lower end cards with fewer tensor cores. Just as older RTX cards benefit less from DLSS 2 the further you go down.

I have 4090 with a 7950x3D and it truly is insane with a 49" 2k 120hz monitor. Looking forward to getting a 4k monitor in the next year now that they are finally selling some capable of over 200fps. The 3DMark Benchmark has my build between 95-99% better than all other results. I imagine there are 2 reasons the scores were not higher. Liquid coold, not water cooled and no over clocking.

2:46 id say it was mind boggling how a card that cost 1400 (2080 ti strix Advanced) in 2019 struggled with Witcher 3 at 50-70 fps in 1440p paired with a i5 9600 at 4.9 ghz.

If 4090 is getting 120+ FPS, probably the 4070 or 4060ti will be near 4K-60FPS.. Im excited for the mid range GPU running 4K gaming. The only problem now is the 4K 144hz monitor is not yet cheap nowdays

The new interpolation or "frame generation" feature is so strange. I think adding AV1 to NVEnc is the most exciting thing about the 4090. 500+FPS on overwatch at Ultra is absolutely crazy.
