Wow, haven’t seen leaps like this since the 900 to 1000 series. Not a fan of the physical space these cards are taking, but impressive to see 4k gaming get to an exciting frame rate finally.
Eh the space isn’t a big deal tbh. You’ll probably be forced into buying a sff case supporting an ATX psu and 4 slot like the Meshilicious, but if you’re already spending $1600+ on a gpu, $140 for an accommodation case and riser isn’t a deal breaker.
Kepler, maxwell and pascal all had similar increases. And before that the average was somewhere around 60% gen over gen. So this is indeed back to the same standards that we were used to seeing, with features on top. We did sacrifice a couple generations of stagnation for those though.

It's still insane how 5 years ago, the absolute unit of an 1080 Ti was 700$ at release. The price increase between the flagships in just these 5 little years is crazy.
Thanks for pausing the screen during the AV1 demo, so the YT compression didnt destroy it. That really helped emphasize just how much better it is. Im stoked to get my hands on a 40 series or ARC card to use for streaming!

If 4090 is getting 120+ FPS, probably the 4070 or 4060ti will be near 4K-60FPS.. Im excited for the mid range GPU running 4K gaming. The only problem now is the 4K 144hz monitor is not yet cheap nowdays

Can't wait for the 4080 16 GB review. That's my Christmas present to myself if it gets good reviews.
The only techtuber swol enough to make the 4090 look normal sized. I'm ready for the itx build.
The reviewer completely overlooked another very worthy use case for this card: VR. Flight simmers and sim racers who go about their business in VR will want this card. Day 1 buy for me.
Nice review as usual. Wish you had included couple of undervolt power/performance charts to see how it would fit in ITX cases. You are the only person I would rely on to see such benchies :)
2:46 id say it was mind boggling how a card that cost 1400 (2080 ti strix Advanced) in 2019 struggled with Witcher 3 at 50-70 fps in 1440p paired with a i5 9600 at 4.9 ghz.
Others: "Finally, i can buy the new 4090 Graphics card"
Me: "Finally, i can buy a 3090"
thank you so much for the great vid!
So is the stream output quality boost in performance primarily from the dual encoders on the 4090 or from AV1??? Would love to know more about that.
If 4090 is getting 120+ FPS, probably the 4070 or 4060ti will be near 4K-60FPS.. Im excited for the mid range GPU running 4K gaming. The only problem now is the 4K 144hz monitor is not yet cheap nowdays
how do you play and record the *same* game in overwatch with two different GPU?
Thank you for ow test!
Do you recommend where to get the founders edition in Australia? Is that available here?
I'd be really interested in seeing a video comparing Nvidia, Intel and AMD AV1 encoders compared to very slow CPU software encoding. Whenever AMD's GPUs come out
Just ordered the Alienware 3423 qdOLED. And planning on getting this card. Good to go ??
The new interpolation or "frame generation" feature is so strange. I think adding AV1 to NVEnc is the most exciting thing about the 4090. 500+FPS on overwatch at Ultra is absolutely crazy.

Well, considering that the GPU is the size of my desk, I doubt anything is going to surprise me.
would be nice to see the rtx3080 in these benchmarks as well, but very informative video as always!
Do you have the wobbly fan edition? Hope mine doesn't have the wobbly fan feature....
Would you happen to have the ability to test for triple monitor screen sim racing titles? This is my struggle with the current 30xx lineup.
11:19 This is a bracket supporting GPU on the MB?

Important question: is Corsair's SF750 actually able to power that monster on? It is time.

4:44 Nvidia have done something in CPU intensive games, to take some of the workload off the CPU. (Jensen mentioned it on his keynote speech, from 20th September.)

Cool master nr200p max setup with 4090 and new processors?
