This is similar to what I used to do with my 2080 super a few years ago. I was fine with 1080p gaming at 60fps. So I’d keep it locked at that and let the GPU run cool and silent and stay healthy for longer.

@@luukherfst1209 at 1440p it's perceptible, and it depends on the game how good it looks. In Horizon Zero Dawn (and most other games), I like native better, and fortunately can run it pretty well. DLSS takes the "photorealistic" fine details and glosses them over in exchange for marginal performance gains, which makes the world feel less crisp and tangible. In Hogwarts Legacy however, DLSS upscaling with subtle sharpening almost looks better than native at times. At native, the finer details sometimes feel slightly "washed out", despite actually being full resolution. Also, unlike Horizon, DLSS makes a very noticeable difference in FPS here, even on Quality Mode.

I hope you will trying out NVIDIA AV1 encoding too? OBS Studio gonna support that later or you can try beta1 now. If I understand right here you don't need push out higher bitrate with AV1, you can get insane quality with it. So i guess perfect for streaming.

I also have to work the next two days so I can't even start my new build for a couple days. :(
It's also worth mentioning that my current build is having a hard time simply playing this TH-cam video in 4k/60fps. This is going to be such an upgrade!
