      That's a lot more expensive than what I would have guessed, holy. If it were available in Germany I reckon it'd easily cost over 3500€, maybe close to 4000€, because companies like pricing their GPUs so that you end up paying ~20% more for the same GPU in Germany compared to the USA (1€ is still more than $1, about $1.06 right now). That would be at least twice or thrice the money any average person here is going to earn, post-tax.

    2:08 There is another problem that you didn't mention, Liquid Metal (LM) eats bare copper. In 1-2 years you will see your temps go up and you will have to reapply LM to bring your card back to spec. If you decide to purchase this card I would replace the LM with Thermal Grizzly's KryoSheet on day one and never have to service it again. Bottom line, ASUS should have nickel plated the block.

      Good mention but I guess if you have the money for this card you probably have the money to upgrade every 2 years/new gpu cycles…..

    • @BansheeBunny
      @BansheeBunny ปีที่แล้ว

      @@isocle The KryoSheet runs about 2C hotter than liquid metal, beats every paste on the market and PTM 7950. KryoSheet never dries out, so it will last the life of your device just like PTM 7950. PTM 7950 is not sold to the public so you have to go through an entity that will cut it down to size, repackage and sell it to you. This drives up cost and exposes its sales to fraud. modDYI sells authentic PTM 7950 just shy of three times the cost of KryoSheet. PTM 7950 is on par with high performance paste. The downsides of KryoSheet is that it is conductive and if you need to remount your cooler, you will have to buy another one. You should use conformal coating on any SMDs around the chip you are cooling with it.

    • @danieldelillo

      Yet this is a pretty massive design that only got an additional 3 percent in frames over stock. The other side of the spectrum can look how small a cooler can be with undervolting. This has already been done hundreds of times before. I much rather buy a 4090 that's uses less power in a smaller formfactor.

    Also, the 4090 Matrix would look absolutely SICK with the O11D Evo Upright kit! If you ever do non SFF builds give that a try - the MSI Suprim Liquid X already looks great in the upright configuration. I had wished that the Suprim's cooling tubes would point down like it does in the Matrix.

    I am always a bit sceptical about the longevity of these AIO liquid cooled GPUs. Unlike CPU coolers which are separate things, these are bolted onto the gpu and probably all proprietary. Worse yet these go onto the most powerful and expensive GPUs

    Very cool looking, but I have an issue with an AIO cooling solution like this. In 3-4 years, that liquid is going to evaporate, and then what do you do? Would have been cool if they had put standard fittings on the thing.

    • @SatchmoBronson
      @SatchmoBronson ปีที่แล้ว

      I had an AIO in my last system for almost years and the liquid didn't evaporate. Doesn't seem like it'd be an issue within the standard lifetime of PC hardware.

    • @leeasy7112

      Sleeved tubing won’t lose liquid. Rubber tubings will cause liquid to vaporize, and that’s why almost all AIOs are using sleeved tubing
