I am always a bit sceptical about the longevity of these AIO liquid cooled GPUs. Unlike CPU coolers which are separate things, these are bolted onto the gpu and probably all proprietary. Worse yet these go onto the most powerful and expensive GPUs
I've had an AIO cooled GPU (EVGA 2070 Super XC Hybrid Gaming) for four years and it's been great. Still running cool, still amazingly quiet. It'll definitely last until I replace it in the next year or two.
Very cool looking, but I have an issue with an AIO cooling solution like this. In 3-4 years, that liquid is going to evaporate, and then what do you do? Would have been cool if they had put standard fittings on the thing.
I had an AIO in my last system for almost years and the liquid didn't evaporate. Doesn't seem like it'd be an issue within the standard lifetime of PC hardware.
I didn’t expect it to have just less than 10 fps difference than the regular 4090. I’ll definitely play cyberpunk again once I can afford 4k and oled. Beautiful game.
The design is great, but one aspect of watercooling is that you can end up with a smaller card suited for sff builds. This is not exactly space saving. And I'd have liked to see a comparison with a properly blocked 4090 using a heatkiller block.

the most beautiful gpu I've ever seen 🔥
I hope that asus finally fixed, how they apply the Liquid Metal! I had to repaste my Scar17, because the Liquid Metal was applied extremely bad! The liquid metal was literally everywhere (within the chamber), but not where it should have been…
You make such original, beautiful content and then a gpu unboxing and some tests, maybe I’ve come to expect too much from you lol but keep up the great work!
If I had $3200 to spare I would buy this in a heartbeat. It’s gorgeous
Hard agree
Man that bass when he showcases the looks of the matrix. whoosh!
It's $4000, the ASUS ROG GeForce RTX 4090 Matrix Platinum is $4000!
By the time it reaches your country, if you're in the EU, it'll be $5000. I think I'll prefer to be able to pay my rent for the next 6 months instead.
As always love the video, but also the hair is looking amazing!
Dude that thing costs more then my Pc... and my monitor... and my chair... and my... Yeah so that costs more then my entire setup lol.
Love the fact that you've opened gpu, I was curious how it looked inside, thanks
The look is definitely amazing. I really don't like the current designs for GPU blocks, most come from the top and on sff is ruins some builds.
this is a piece of engineering art
I am always a bit sceptical about the longevity of these AIO liquid cooled GPUs. Unlike CPU coolers which are separate things, these are bolted onto the gpu and probably all proprietary. Worse yet these go onto the most powerful and expensive GPUs
I've had an AIO cooled GPU (EVGA 2070 Super XC Hybrid Gaming) for four years and it's been great. Still running cool, still amazingly quiet. It'll definitely last until I replace it in the next year or two.
This graphics card is looking clean as f**k! Great vid!
Sleeved tubing won’t lose liquid. Rubber tubings will cause liquid to vaporize, and that’s why almost all AIOs are using sleeved tubing
I didn’t expect it to have just less than 10 fps difference than the regular 4090. I’ll definitely play cyberpunk again once I can afford 4k and oled. Beautiful game.
2:08 Two problems. Radiator surface is not nickel plated, so liquid metal will diffuse in to the copper and stop working in year or two...
2 problems? :p
not true
@@erisium6988 Of course it's true, you can see that it's not nickel plated and the issues with copper + LM have been documented for 2 decades.
Additives easily solve this problem. Asus ain't that dumb.
@@zqzj You are confusing the loop gunking up from the inside, which is fixable with additives, with the liquid metal attacking the cold plate
Amazing video as always ! Thank you 😉
no longer "optimum tech" but now "optimum" everything. optimum tech, optimum car, optimum lift? 👀
Optimum wife?
That's probably why he renamed his channel to simply optimum.
i can only imagine this thing would look absolutely sick in a vertical mount setup in a case like an 011D
The design is great, but one aspect of watercooling is that you can end up with a smaller card suited for sff builds. This is not exactly space saving. And I'd have liked to see a comparison with a properly blocked 4090 using a heatkiller block.
This is a commercial, not a review. He's trying to sell it and highlight it's most positive aspects, not objectively look at it. People seemed to not realize most TH-camrs are advertising, not reviewing.
@@mangaas he is not sponsored, and buys every item he reviews, or makes videos of, himself. This is a review no matter how you look at it - the depth at which he goes into reviewing it is another story. In no way did I feel like he was trying to sell me into this product, he just showcased a new, cool, pretty overkill product.
I am a simple man, I see optimum, I upvote, I watch, I wait for another video.
When I think "full coverage" I think water channels over the components. Not just a plate of metal that is cooled by a separate part that's cooled by water. Like the difference between a back plate, a backplate with thermal pads, and an active backplate.
Babe wake up, Optimum posted another banger

I- I don't know how to describe this feeling I got watching this video, especially at this part. I just... that thing looks amazing, and I, along with everyone else, dream for the day we can install one of those
Cool but 3200$ oww, could get a 4080 pc for that.
I find tech videos kinda boring these days but i don't give a fuck in optimum's case cuz his production quality is insane
OVER..PRICED LOL😊
I think it is overpriced but I think it’s more of a flex than a value for the money part still dope tho
this definitely encapsulates something I do NOT like about the modern pc gaming zeitgeist.
WOW, what an overkill GPU, for all the $$$ and is going to give you a 7 to 11 fps boost... Like always the freeloader TH-camrs... 🤣
This video gave me the best TH-cam meal. You made my evening.
Ridiculously and absolutely unnecessarily huge. Beats the whole purpose of having a liquid cooled card.
I really wish they just made a waterblock version of this. Thanks for the video, well done.
The vid quality is god tier holy shit
Ah, another 4090: "Who needs kidneys, really" edition.
the floating design is sickkkk
Fell in love with this card only to shed a tear at the pricetag.
this gpu is like a lambo. almost no one really needs one but goddamn its beautiful to look at.
This GPU is just an art piece of it's own. It's a beautiful card
The card looks slick, but dam! my guy, you never skip arm day💪🏽
I thought my Msi 4090 is the only one that makes buzzing noise while playing demanding games but i’m glad it’s a normal thing ❤
I have the Gigabyte 4090 Waterforce and I am so glad I brought it when I did. This ASUS card is going to have GPU prices skyrocket
I'm just waiting for Ali to be like I'm modding this to put it in a SFF build!
