To anyone reading this, besides the obvious of not sending strangers money, NEVER give out your home address and NEVER eat any candy, cake or foodstuffs that arrive by mail or courier delivery
the cakes, candy, and foods come from bakeries; candy stores; and food places. it's not like the scammer is cooking and baking themselves. they're not making the time for that. they're trying to get as much money off of them as possible, so they're not going to try to HURT them..
It never fails to fascinate me how men and women think somebody 20-30 years younger would actually fall for them in the first place. Loneliness is a very cruel thing and these lowlifes scum bags take full advantage of it. Very sad.
If ever there was a guy that needs grief counselling & time hanging out at a men’s shed before he joins some social activities, it’s this guy. His loneliness is palpable. And if he went to an activity where women his age hang out, he’d be so popular he wouldn’t know what to do with himself.
That is what I was thinking too. If you listen to how he talks about "Sarah", almost all of the positives he gives are how long they talk. It sounds like he keeps going back because they are a distraction from the grief he is dealing with. He starts a fight with Sarah and they go back and forth sometimes for hours. It is something else to focus on. I hope he can get some help to and start a more fulfilling relationship with a local woman.
he doesnt want a woman his age duhhh, thats the issue with a lot of older men they want young, fresh meat like they some kind of pedos its creepy no sympathy for this guy hes no different lol
Problem is, he'll never meet a real person cause he's wasting time talking to strangers online, instead of taking some of that money & getting a nice hair cut & beard trim and maybe going to a nice bar/ supper club and meeting a nice woman there. Comedy clubs. Church. Dog parks. These people think the only way to meet someone are on the darn computer! Jeesh. I don't get how people whine about "meeting" people yet converse with people from across the world. Dumb
Preyed upon? If all these people had a lick of common sense and a bit of an ability in critical thinking the majority of these scams wouldn't happen. Some people can easily insult these people. They never knew loneliness is cruel. Obviously, you gotta fight it. Make friends in real life but thats not easy. I had that moment where i had no one. Edit: Just to clarify: A forum for all the clients that have been scammed (no outside people, strictly for the people who have actually been on the show themselves) to be able to talk with each other. They all have shared, painful experiences of being scammed. Not necessarily for romance but for friendship. Wade's loneliness was palpable and it was painful to see. These people (that were on the show) could at least have a place to go and talk. Have they thought about opening up a forum for the men and women that have been scammed and are really lonely to meet and talk with each other? Maybe not necessarily even a romantic relationship but a friendship to ease their loneliness. They really should consider doing this. Wade is such a nice guy, I know that some of these women (who are real) that would genuinely be interested in talking to him.
Oh, the scammers would love such a forum! Shooting fish in a barrel. What a goldmine for them that would be. "Oh, I was a scammed too, but I got my money back, just contact this person..." I don't think Wade is interested talking to any real women his own age, he want's one of those adult actresses/instagram models in their 20s-30s.

Wade is such a genuinely good man. I can still feel his pain of losing his wife like it happened yesterday. I hope and pray God will bless him with someone or something that will fill his void in his heart NOT scammers.
Hi Wade- this happened to me 9 years ago but the person never asked for money. I’m still not sure what he gained from the emotional torture he put me through but thankfully I snapped out of the trance after several months of empty promises and tragic situations that prevented him from meeting me in person. I blocked him, changed my phone number and I’ve spent the last 9 years focusing on work & not much else. I just turned 52 and I’ve missed out on real life relationships because I wouldn’t let my guard down enough to give anyone a chance. My advice to you is to block this person and keep your heart open to the possibility of a real life relationship with someone you are compatible with and who won’t drain you financially or emotionally.
Most likely a newbie romance scammer that failed at trying to play the long game. The more experience these scammers get, the more patient & calculating they become. It's not about a hundred bucks here or there then ghosting. By sucking you in all the way over a period of time, you let your guard down completely & then at that point, they can get the big bucks out of you. 5/10+ people on the hook at any one time & if you pull one, that sort of money goes a very very long way in the 3rd world. If you can get even a single person to sell their home, empty their retirement fund or whatever, then you are set for life.
Unfortunately some romance scammers aren't in it for money, just for the emotional control and attention. I bet you were speaking with a woman, pretending to be a male. There are master manipulators online who know just what to say to capture our hearts. It's sick and twisted.
Sometimes in you case it isn’t even a romance scammer, it simply a catfish. There some strange people who do this for fun or boredom. Sometimes it’s even someone you know. Watch the show: catfish. It’s often the same thing you have described as you situation. Sometimes some people don’t even do it for money.
Sounds like a run-of-the-mill catfish, tbh. People are strange and get into all types of weird dynamics online to fulfill an emotional need or two. I'm sorry that happened to you. I don't think you've wasted anything though. It's okay to not be dating all the time. Sometimes you're not feeling it, and you weren't so you didn't. Good for you. Don't look back with regret over an idea that's not even real. You have no idea what could have been or what will be. Don't do that to yourself. Don't make up things to feel sad about when actual life provides enough honest material for us. It's never too late to put yourself out there if you're seeking companionship. People in their 80s are still dating for that purpose. Don't use false walls around yourself.
Yeah I agree with the 2nd reply. That’s probably just an old fashion catfish. They pretend to be someone else online and create a fake relationship with someone and in that case it was you. They never intend to meet the person cuz they can’t show who they really are.
Don't these guys who are like 60 years old ask themselves "would my own daughter date a 60 year old" or "when I was 25-30, would I have dated a 60 year old?" If the answer is not very likely, wouldn't they then realize that their fantasy girlfriend is just made up? But this guy I feel sorry for, he seems like a nice person. A lot of these victims aren't very nice, but he seem to be. He's just so lonely. Hope he can find some nice 60 year old woman who is _real_ .
I've had psychosis. He's a good guy if he stayed with her through that. First guy I have felt sorry for. Hope he finds someone good in real life. Maybe a grief support group would help.

I liked the little intro you did in the beginning with his sheet metal history. You guys are obviously sincerely empathetic and it shows through, some of us laugh at how ridiculous this stuff can be, but the reality is that in a lot of cases these people are far more lonely than stupid.
He certainly is In better condition than many of the poor gullible people I’ve seen in this series of videos. I’m sure hearing a good looking lady said this would make his day.
This is a really sad story. However, the language the team use helps people maintain their illusion.Instead of saying ‘they started an online relationship’ they should say ‘Wade believed he was building an online relationship’ or asking ‘where does this put you with Sara?’ They should ‘ where does this put you with the scammer who’s been using the alias Sara’ This would help others grasp the reality. But I’ve noticed in recent episodes they continue to talk as if the person is real- ‘so what will you do if Sara contacts you again’ etc, so the fantasy persists that Sara exists…
I agree, and I've seen a couple of episodes where people went back after the scam was exposed because they just didn't want to believe the truth. They're calling this person that doesn't exist by a name. They speak of them as if they're real.
Cult deprogrammers are taught not to directly contradict or challenge the beliefs of people right away. Chances are the cult member will turn on you and accuse you of wrongdoing. If you can gently get them to trust you and to believe you have their best interests at heart, you have a better chance that they will see the truth, eventually. I'm sure that these folks talk to the victims for maybe an hour? Maybe two? They have to be gentle. Look at what happens when their own kids try telling them, "It's a scam!" The kids are ignored. I think these folks have a lot in common with cult members.
I don't agree. It seems to me like they are using transitional language to help the victim who has built an internal relationship with this person to let go. We also don't see the full conversation, so there is maybe more of a progression than we realize.
Yes, that shocked me -- still communicating even though he's been told by these 2 experts that IT'S A MAN HE'S TALKING TO!! That made me feel so sad for him.
He should block this person, because they're experts at what they do! Eventually he'll be convinced again to send money! Don't talk to this scammer, they want more of your hard earned money! Block & delete!
These people be wilding. Not saying he is ugly. But my goodness why would a 30 yr old woman be interested in him? Let’s be real we live in a very superficial world. Common sense is dead people. 🙄
This man is an old school simple minded family man. You can see that especially when they ask him if he cares if she’s Nigerian and he says no. Then when they ask if he cares if she’s Nigerian and a guy he says of course yes. He does not understand how these scam works. I feel so bad for him bc he is very terribly lonely. At the end he thanks them for helping, wishes them Happy Thanksgiving and tells them he will miss them. Hope he finds some real people to talk to and make friends with soon.
He's lonely by choice he has options and plenty of therapy and support he could find online and in his area. But lets be real he wanted a hot girl. And that is way out of his league and unrealistic to his station in life.
Sadly, most of these scammers grew up in shitty dysfunctional households in extremely impoverished area's. They're bad people, but that's because their situation made them bad.

This poor man. It's so heartbreaking. I hope he finds someone who deserves him and that truly cares about him.
Don't these guys who are like 60 years old ask themselves "would my own daughter date a 60 year old" or "when I was 25-30, would I have dated a 60 year old?"
If the answer is not very likely, wouldn't they then realize that their fantasy girlfriend is just made up?
But this guy I feel sorry for, he seems like a nice person. A lot of these victims aren't very nice, but he seem to be. He's just so lonely. Hope he can find some nice 60 year old woman who is _real_ .

I've thought the same thing a few times ... and I agree, the language maintains the fantasy....
they do that so the people won't be offended and wit the investigation

I hate that people take advantage of those who are grieving, being lonely is the worst feeling possible. I hope he finds a real person near him to fill that void x
What a nice man. He deserves a real and genuinely nice person in his life.
I am so sorry for Wade’s loss. That is so hard. And it shows what kind of guy he is that he stood by his wife’s side while she went through that. Loneliness is a killer. I hope he finds some work/life balance and finds a nice RL woman to spend the rest of his life with.
Quick hint to older people, like me. Most younger people don’t want to date older people. So if a young person approaches you on line, be very suspicious.
That is not true...my bf and ive been together more than a year we live together,no i am not his sugar mama i dont have a job he has his own company,we understand each other we are the same person just in different bodies...he is 20 yrs younger than me and he is not my only option in younger men so yes that is false
@@catharinavanstaden3243 no, i don't agree with you, you are one of the rare people, lets see in 10 or so years when you are starting to look older and start to fall apart, see if he is still interested...
@@catharinavanstaden3243 She said "most" and that is a fact. Most people date and marry within 4 years of their age.
@@catharinavanstaden3243 I’m sure he has no ill intent with you at all, you’re a weirdo
There are many Age Gap Relationships nowadays.
Out of all the episodes ive watched this one is probably the saddest.
Wade, wherever you are I hope that you aren’t feeling so lonely anymore. I hope that you find the light and beauty in the things we do by ourselves. Idk if the community where you live isn’t very active or well populated but I hope you come across some good people! Idk how strong your faith is wade but ill be praying for you.. and regardless if you’re in touch with your spiritual life or not just know that there’s people out here wishing for good things your way.
Hi Sara how are you. Your comment is so understanding and lovely. Greetings from Ireland. Wish you a great day 👍🙏 Michael
I rarely cry watching these videos. He seems like such a great guy. Good luck to Wade in the future!
This is probably the first time I feel sorry for a person that appears on this show. I genuinely hope he finds someone that gives true love. He deserves it!
What a lovely man Wade is. Genuine, caring and giving. I pray he finds a wonderful lady
Wade seems like such a genuine guy. Hope he finds someone in person he connects with.
Everytime they talk about a online relation ship.
There is no online relation ship!
Chatting with someone is no relation ship.
It's the dream, the fantasy of having a relation ship.
poor guy, only genuine guy on here so far. deserves to find love
Lord what a lovely man, he deserves someone worthy of him.
I feel bad for this guy; hope he finds someone who truly deserves him he's a gem.
He seems so nice. He deserves a real relationship.
It’s hard not to like this guy, he’s kind and not greedy. Wish him the best.
When he told the interviewers he would miss them 😢
I hope he finds love with someone real. He seems like a great guy with lots of love to give.
He gives me Tim Roth vibes, he's actually a really attractive man with his personality combined. I hope he finds someone real in the real world to make him happy
I never feel sorry for fools but my heart goes out to this lovely hearted guy.
Same. Most of these don't get me but this one does.
This isn't a fool. He's a genuine man who made a mistake
Old men using TikTok is disgusting!
This is utterly heartbreaking. This man could find a real woman instead of this. I hope he has found someone by now.
When they call you babe, they are juggling many victims at the same time and they don’t want to have to remember names
This applies in real life too!
I must have gotten 15 “friend requests” on Facebook from women much younger and ignored them. It’s obvious that it’s not a good idea to follow up.
Guy's wife was beautiful. I so felt for him - he deserves so much more from life. Such a genuine human being.
Man I like this guy. I hope he can find someone that will treat him good like he deserves.
This guy is the most logical “victim” I’ve seen. He seems like he has a pricey pen pal
Easily THE nicest, most decent and smartest person you've ever helped on the show. I feel really bad for this man. I don't want to sound rude but realisticly if he invested this money he trew at the hartbreak in his looks (nice haircut, some dental work etc.) with his beautiful personality he could of found a great woman that would be very lucky to have him!
I agree!! Use that money to take care of himself and he will find someone quick.
That's exactly what I thought so ur not being rude just honest + realistic
What a deep and sacred grief he carries. I can't imagine losing my spouse and having to live without him. A broken heart can lead to things like this.
When a spouse dies.....part of you die too.
It's a void in your spirit you live with forever. Time does not heal the gaping wound.
The loneliness is crippling and those of us who never had to date online don't know about these things. I never knew people could manipulate pics and identification and such.....my son oversaw my online dating messages and such. We both knew I was vulnerable and uneducated in scams.....I wish others had a son like mine
He’s truly one of the good guys. I hope he has had time to heal and find real companionship.
To this day he is still sending money to Sarah. How sad
He goes through all the trouble of enlisting Scamfish, then still continues to “speak” to this person knowing it’s a scam!!!
It's an addiction for some.
He seems very nice and not at all creepy. I hope he finds a real-life partner who'll love him, appreciate him and that they'll be able to share a life together. together
I have a feeling he will - he's a sweetie
He could start with talking with someone who's his own age...not someone who is young enough to be his daughter
He needs to GET REAL.
You don't think it's creepy that's he wants to date a woman half his age?
@@moosehead1183 she approached him, I doubt he would've msgd her otherwise.
His being naive and lonely led him to where he is.
I hope someone real comes into his life.
@@hummingbirdchen I think he was very lonely and naive. He was a wonderful husband to stand by his beloved wife through her illness. He's probably socially awkward. He responded to what seemed to be affection, understanding, compassion and warmth towards him. He said he's not a savvy person. He seems sincere to me.
This guy knows love and knows how to do it, unlike a lot of men who show on this program. He deserves to be happy again, and to make someone happy again. I wish him to find someone to be together happy with.
So sad someone could take advantage of someone so lonely. 😢
To a scammer, a man like this one is like a cow waiting to be milked
I agree...I really felt bad for this guy...usually I can't understand how dumb some can be to get scammed... but this guy seems like such a real and genuine guy that I can't help but feel bad...hope he finds some happiness 😊
“My TikTok Girlfriend” 😂 oh boy. Let’s hear it…
Hahaha ohh boy!!! 😆😆😆
With out voice!
He seems like a great guy. He should be able to meet a real person.
With the kind of loving heart that this man has, along with his looks, and at his age, he can definitely find someone genuine. I really feel for this man and what he's had to endure. He has a lot of love to give, and now that his wife is gone, he has all of that love within him for someone. He will find her, and I wish them both well when they find each other.
Wade needs to get a few mates to chat with online & he'll feel so much better.
He needs some mates to hang out with in real life.
@@sengasengana Exactly !!!
He seems like a good bloke too.
