“he likes Chinese food, he asks what my favourite colour is, he calls me babe” why are women impressed by this extremely basic surface level conversation?
Exactly right! I'm one for deep conversation - not talking about the weather. Lol.
If I don't talk about politics, religious beliefs, your position on a host of issues from Social security to abortion! I can disagree with the man I'm with but how can I even come close to having feelings for someone I know nothing about? Ridiculous
They are intelligent.
Because when they see a hunky man in the photo, everything he says suddenly becomes the most fantastic and wonderful thing ever said. He could tell her about his bowel movement and she would swoon.
@@kenbob1071 😂😂😂
I am not comfortable with the thought that people who fall for cliche scams work in places like ER.
Ive noticed the men are always younger looking than the women.
If you're around nurses for long enough, you won't be surprised.
@@bluevioletandlilac..really? Why is that?
@@madwhitehare3635 I'm sure there are good nurses out there who do care. I've even met a few of them. But the vast majority I've ever encountered have been some combination of mean, disrespectful, arrogant, and/or unhelpful.
Why do women think that a man with millions and millions of dollars cannot access their own bank account because they're in another country. Absolutely ridiculous.
I simply can’t understand that either, but I sure feel sorry for these people. I’m 72 and still have my husband, but I can tell you for sure that if a young, rich man started telling me he loved me, I’d have to question his sanity and send him on his way.
Ridiculous indeed.
Drama. Women love drama
@@rayhill5767 We do?
Men fall for the same crap from 20-something looking year old models who claim to have a huge inheritance and have all these pics in super expensive clothes, lavish house, fancy cars, etc, lol. They're all foolish for falling for it, not just the women.
It’s especially sad when a widow is left financially well-off and she sends the money to scammers. Her husband died thinking she would be fine financially.
A story as old as time.
Well, you take away reason and accountability and it’s easy…
I would think an ER RN would be smarter.
@@UncleDavesKitchenI’ve worked around a lot of them, clinically, yes, they’re smart. Any other real world situation is a strong maybe.
Widows are easy targets or should I say prey 😢

the fact these people can afford to send hundreds of thousands to a random face on the internet, and yet my mom & i both work & can barely afford food. insane.
Same here. I spend @ $800/ mo. just on my meds.
Exactly they talk about all this money like it means nothing , and when they find out they've been scammed it's like oh well 🤔
For real. My mind is blown every episode cuz I’m like how can they just send money to strangers like that?
Right?! Like...give US the money if ur gonna flush it down the toilet
No shit, I can't believe how many people have this much money laying around to send to strangers.
They both like coffee, they must be soul mates 🙄

Dont these women see that these scammers always take photos from gay men?How could they not know. The second I see these photos I can tell.

Another registered nurse! Someone needs to do a study on what occupations are more prone to being scammed, because RN certainly seems to be up there.
RN here. Late 50s. Dated online, lots of try by scammers unsuccessfully. I agree that many of the stories on here are RNs. Please consider that nurses might be more open to share their stories to help others.
They seem to have inflated egos. I have no idea why. It's not all them but it's a strange amount of them.
Nurses have always had a bad rep when it comes to men and relationships as far back as I can remember. It’s very bizarre.
I think nurses see themselves as caring to the point of self sacrifice. Sadly also some think they're morally superior.
@PeterCockerell By occupation, nurses have to have empathy. They are “helpers” types. They want to help, help, help everyone so they believe foolish sob stories. All of that education in anatomy, biological sciences go out the damn window through their overly trusting, empathetic natures .
People need to STOP giving complete strangers their home addresses. Chocolates, bears, flowers. No. Safety first
Yep. My elderly father was living with me for many years and he said he had a follower of his website that wanted to send him something to my house. He even said he didn't know the guy and was worried about what he would send him. I told him no he can't give the guy my address. He kept bothering me to let the guy know where he could send whatever it was and I told him to give him the address to the local police department and have him send it there. That finally shut them both up about it.
That's why PO boxes exist
@@sharonrigs7999 Well my Dad was afraid he might send something harmful or illegal.
But the problem is that, in their mind, these _aren't_ complete strangers. These are their future husbands/wives.
Oy..

Americans don't do themselves any favours 🤦🏽♀️ all that money and has never travelled no further than her back garden
The victims in these things never, ever think to look up information themselves. They only hear things from the scammer and they take it all at face value. If they had any kind of internet literacy they wouldn't be in these situations to begin with.
@@HollowHouse3or they ask them questions that are easy. Like that woman asking the guy from England "where are the crown jewels kept?" 😅 dude could easly go to Google.
When you stop sending money to one scammer and another one conveniently knows just what you like, it is probably the first scammer under a different identity trying to scam you some more.
Great point. I was thinking social media. Good guesses, but yea. They use multiple identities,,.
Exactly- but if a person only has one think in mind is to find someone to love again there is not much you can do about it. It’s like telling a teenager don’t go out with that person that he is not good for you- do you think the teenager will lesson to you, so it’s the same thing here. Let them learn the hard way.
Exactly 🤷♀️ But when you’re so desperate for love & lonely I guess you believe what you want
@@allisonjames2923 being desperate for something will only bring heartache. Your not thinking straight and your only thinking of yourself. Most people Vivian’s age have led very safe, sheltered lives. The scammer was probably using spiritual charms and dogs tend to pick up on spirits. It’s very popular for scammers from africa to use spells
Grief is a common denominator in a lot of these episodes… I wish grief counseling could be readily available to people who need it, even when they think they don’t.
For sure. I think very often they are using the positive emotion to delay grieving and it's all part of why they hang on so hard. And her husband suffered with dementia which lays a terrible burden on the spouse and makes grief even more complicated.
Love is a highly deceptive euphoric state and intense grief is likely dancing on the edge of sanity too. And of course when it all comes crashing down, they are grieving twice over - not only the original they were desperate to avoid, but the chimera that is the recognised psychological trick utilised by the scammers. However much we think "omigod" I will always (I hope) retain some sympathy. It's just very sad.
I mean it was? Idk what you mean? Like the biggest barrier would be money, clearly not a problem for her. So I'm confused what you mean "wish it was available".
@@Oliviaandtrina Yeah, it’s available if they seek it out, but most of these people don’t really think they need it even when they do. I guess I wish it was brought to people rather than waiting for them to find it, you know? Just a wish.

But who said she was leaving the money to them anyway?
She lost the only man she was ever with, stop and think about the amount of damage the scammer has done to her, and I'm not talking about money. She had only loved one man, been with one man, she kepted her wedding vows, to death do we part. Money ain't 💩 when a persons mind, heart and trust is played with. Her legacy isn't her money, it's who she is as a person.
It's sad, she's a victim, blah blah blah. Yes, that's all true. But majority of people need brutal honesty to wake up. She was selfish throwing that money away to some random stranger over the internet and not having a lick of common sense to think that if he owns a successful oil business, then why the hell would he need her money? When will people learn, people who really love you will meet with you in person and will not ask you for money! I am dumbfounded over how much she sent to two different men.
I was dating a man I met online for almost 2 years on and off. We got serious and began spending more time together. We spent a few days together and he was raising his voice and being mean. I asked myself "Would I treat a person I loved like this? Raising my voice and snatching things from their hand fir no reason? ( last straw was he put his finger in my face) I left that day and when he begged me to forgive him I told him I had no animosity towards him. He asked what he Could do to make it work. I looked at him and said nothing. Absolutely nothing. I wish you the best but I don't deal with mean men or ones who less self control than my children did at age 5! He was older than me. I'm 53 and he was 71. A retired physician. I'm just a hone health aide (I get a military retirement and a small disability check as I work part-time. I have MS) he was shocked I think that I'd leave him. Money and prestige are useless if someone is mean and disrespectful! These victims should ask themselves if thry would even consider asking a person online for any amount of cash! Most normal people would say of course not!
First 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩!!!! I would have blocked him there and then 😂
And these situations are so outrageous. He is a wealthy oil magnate, owns his own oil company. Under what circumstances would he ever need a nickel from her? People like this don’t get their wallet stolen and suddenly have to ask women they met on the internet for money. How can anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together not see that?
Eldery undergo brain changes that facilitate scamming victimization.
The amount of eldery people falling on online scammers is huge. One of my family was victim of a silly scamming involving artifical voice that emulated another family member voice.
@@hyrenapth5583I am 65 and almost fell for a Social Security scam one time. This was several years ago when I first started receiving disability. Fortunately, I figured it out before I gave them any banking information. When it comes to the romance scammers, I used to play them but it got old after awhile. Not all senior citizens fall for the nonsense.
It always seems like the people getting scammed had been in extremely long relationships.
I’ve been single…I’m always suspicious. It’s dirty out there.
You could have put your grand children through college with that money. Shame on you!!
Yes, but they should be active in her life too. Children and grandchildren need to watch out for their elderly family members or it's a big risk they will spend away their money.
Even the dog knew she was getting scammed. 🐕🔍😬
Hahaha, I said the same!
@@LizbetPCB Who could spot a catfish better than a dog? 😆🐾🐶
If you speak dog you’d know he was saying SCAM SCAM SCAM but she doesn’t speak dog.
😂😆😆😂😂
Lol. Presumably the dog sensed her weird energy around the calls.
These old grandmas needs to stop sending their dead husband life savings to scammers because of their own greed and lust.
Yes .
I mean she also works I can assume some of it’s her life savings
Exactly. I wish I had the money they have. I'd have a better life. No one has left me money so I must continue working. A man loved them enough to make sure they were set and they still want to be out there searching for another man. They had their time in this life, which is more than some.
Same with the old grandpas.
🌝
Hard to feel sorry for her. She don't need men. She should cherish her old life around her children and grandchildren. She paid a very costly fantasies.
She’s in love with a scammer because they like the same color and ice cream as she does? 🤣 wow, the bar is literally on the ground....
The bar is low...and so is her $$. 😅
It is probably the same person behind both men so that is how Jonathan knew everything. Notice how she just switched between the two men. Questionable lack of morals there.
Victims like Vivian, stops only when flat-broke. It's really a shame.
The amount of money she's wasted on these scammers, it makes me wonder how she still has a house. Ok she had alot of savings etc, but when it all runs out .... then she'll be in debt forever surely ??.
It can be compared to a gambling addiction....
Not really a shame. Money should go the someone who knows how to protect it. These victims failed to protect their money
Money that could have gone to her grandkids it’s disgusting
Or when she agrees to be a money mule ...for scammer unknowingly and ends up in federal prison
“Have you eaten today?” Is a way to show affection in Nigeria-it’s a way of saying “I care about you.” That should be an instant red flag
I would have said no but that I was going to eat jollop rice as soon as my maid finished cooking it 😅 . Jollop rice is a typical Nigerian dish .
@@tapsars7911it’s JOLLOF rice genius.
I guessed it right away when I heard that HD WS asking if they have eaten. London is also a big thing for Nigerian scammers
@@ikjhvbn3951There is no reason for the snotty comment. It could have been a typo, or an honest mistake… why get so bent about a comment made on TH-cam?
@@carlosbond5062does sound hilarious though lol 😂🤡💀
Just unbelievable. These are intelligent, educated people! How can they be so naive? $600k. That just makes me want to vomit. And even after hearing his voice, she STILL thinks that she's talking to the men in the pictures!!
She’s an RN, that’s a university degree… so how come she didn’t pick up on his spelling mistakes? “Past” when it should be “passed”. If there was an earthquake in London, I’d know… why didn’t she just google it???
She talks about “researching “ , just what did she research???? But she continued to send money!!!!! No foreign engineers worked at Chernobyl.. so easy to look up !!!! What is wrong with these women??????
That’s a very expensive fantasy they live in.. Wow!!😂😂😂😂
One has to feel sorry for the real engineer, oil rig worker, gemologist, or army person who is genuinely looking for love.
they would never ask for money, they would rather send gifts or money....I guess. So they are easy to spot.
they can’t send money or gifts either. scammers use this to get your address and launder money through all your banks accounts.
:(
LMFAOOOOO
Hahaha
Can you imagine sending two people $600,000, separately...that is insane! 😳😱😶
I can't even get gas for my car I can't believe this😢
@@elena-lc4uk Same here, I have to wait a month (I only drive to work and back and order my groceries online), and stay home forever, other than 'work' that is lol! 😶😳🥺
Even if they weren’t “scammers” I still would not want to be with someone with no respect for me and uses me for money
Vivian's face lit up with a big smile when, at the end, the owner of this channel (I don't know his name) said for them to grab lunch soon. Apart from helping victims with the romance scam itself, this channel also provides, to an extent, a new supportive social network to the victims and that is that is extremely valuable. Good work!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, they need to do a blanket advertising campaign to teach vulnerable people what a Nigerian accent sounds like. Education!!!
Ghana is not Nigeria
@@iolitelight Close enough
Yes! They should have something in place to teach the elderly and not very savvy about these scams and how to recognize red flags. There are so many from jump with these people.
Amen
I am shocked on how much money those scammers are getting
boomers can't wait to give their kids' inheritances away to Nigerians for some reason.
Yep, we are in the wrong business. The love scam is where the money is💰
@@kdeloris2225 i could never sleep. but it is FLABBERGASTING how much money this woman sent. it quite literally takes your breath away.
Me too. I think I have dated someone who is doing this, he was super sketchy
What do they even do with this money
Lady wake up and smell the coffee, he is not real.
I'm really having difficulty feeling sorry for any of these people. This woman needs to have a group of women friends and take care of her grandkids. Who needs a man? Especially give NO money to some stranger!! How stupid!!
That's what I'm saying you should have been a little smarter than that sending all these thousands of dollars to some random guys you've never even seen on camera even if you were dating them I still wouldn't give them s*** I also love how these people are always millionaires or celebrities but they need money sent to them how ironic😂😂😂😂
My God. I understand grief. I understand loneliness. I can understand falling for a romance scammer. Once. But twice?
Was thinking it may of been the same person using different pictures.
@@jessieb7290 It was the same person or someone else in the scammers office that learned from the first one what she likes
To them it’s Russian roulette
She even believed in earthquake in London 😂😂😂
These stories used to somewhat amuse me. But eventually human stupidity gets very tiresome.
Ditto
Boring stupid people tend to be Boring!😮
How daft can someone be? As soon as they ask for money, say good buy and move on...
My mom is totally involved with an online scammer. Difference in her and this lady, my mom has been widowed 35 years and only has a small SS check living in senior housing. She’s giving all her money to a guy that tells her he has a 7 yr old. She’s 83. If my calculation are correct, she purposely is perusing someone young enough to be her grandchild. Grosses me out. When I tell her he’s a scammer likely in Nigerian, she tells me to mind my own business. I told her if she wants to sit broke to have someone tell her what she wants to hear…go for it! Just don’t ask me for money when she’s broke and hungry.
I am 66 and I just can’t imagine how this happens. If a man asked me for a penny that would be the end. Also I don’t understand how these older women think these handsome middle aged or younger men would chose us over all the younger women available to them. I am sorry for them but it’s just not rational
I agree completely.
💯% agree, if someone asked me for $ that's time to block. These women need to go with their gut and anyone who says send cash in a magazine it's a scam
Agree- if a stranger in the street walked up to you and asked for thousands you'd laugh in their face. I understand how loneliness can blind people, but I don't under how family and friends don't intervene to help these people see they're being scammed.
Yes when $$ is asked , but I can understand failing in ❤ and having our best judgment being blurred.
I dunno, these men in the pics look age and looks appropriate to her to me. Seems like the scammers chose average looking senior men in this case.
My stepmom’s mom is THE biggest “C.U. Next Tuesday” to ever walk the earth, and I just found out she’s been giving all her savings away to a Nigerian scammer, and refuses to listen to anyone.
Just gotta say, I love this for her!
Karma’s a b**ch. 👏🏻
Sure...but what happens when she's totally broke and asking you and your husband for financial help?
@@lwscijunkie At least she can say that she knows how it was spent, she doesn’t owe her anything .
@@lwscijunkieu say no. That's it

It’s funny when she describes her life it sounds so fulfilling and happy. The family, grandkids and shes a nurse in the ER! Date online ok, but don’t let it blind you from what you have right in front of you.
I already knew he was Nigerian by the “have you eaten? “ question. It is a typical question to ask and show you care.
I have a client who is definitely falling for multiple romance scams, she fully believes she is in a relationship with harry styles. There is absolutely nothing i can tell her that she would believe shes being scammed. The denial is unreal. Whats sad is she is losing her husband over it, theyre currently going thru a divorce
😢
Wow that is insane. Can't her family stage an intervention?
Social Catfish should reach out to her!!
I just hope she doesnt take her husband for all hes worth.
Im pouring one out for him tonight
That sounds like mental health right there. She might need mental health treatment that you may not be able to provide her.
Oil again? It's either oil or they're in the military. Give us a break. 😮
Religious conservative women go orgasmic when they hear a man is in the fossil fuel industry b/c rightwing media promotes Big Oil.
they know which roles to fake to make women get the vagina tingles.

yes with one child
SO MANYsteps in this whole silly money rip off process where the horns of warning were screaming all over the place.
Good grief! I just don't understand sending anyone that kind of money...even if I had it, it would never happen.
Britain is in the middle of a tectonic plate. We don’t have earthquakes. Also he has a clear accent.
What I've learned from this channel is that if someone I meet online is always asking me if I've eaten today that they're probably a scammer lol

The best advice is this: when communicating with someone you meet on line, your very FIRST sentence should be: "I have no money to share, I only have my love to give." Let anyone you communicate with know that as soon as they ask you for money, you will block them. Then start blocking people.
Then they would ask you to get a loan!
I used online dating sites to meet men after my divorce 7 years ago. I hadn't dated since the 80s! Was married 27 years. I put on my profile
1. Local only as in 60 miles or less
2. If yiu suddenly have to leave town hit me up when you get back. I'm not interested in a pen pal
3. I don't ask men for loans nor do I give them so don't ask and you certainly don't need to worry about me asking!
I also stayed in my lane. Met some jerks and some nice men. Dated two for a year or more. One was a retired Lt Col who lost a leg in Afghanistan and one was a retired optometrist. Not ONE MAN asked me for a penny!
One more piece of advice. Use a current photo as in 9 months or less and 1 full body photo. Meaning showing your proportions. And ladies filters are like makeup. A little bit of color in a few places that look most attractive. Men don't like clownish make up. I understand if you do. I'm as liberal as they come in almost everything but not a couple of things. This over self confidence. I've had women ger mad at ne. I
That's great that yiu like ckownish makeup. 99.999999999 of straight men do NOT!
@@thisperson5294I'd tell them as long as they co sign! Roar with laughter and immediately block!
@@thisperson5294yes, but if u are that INSANE and stupid when a stranger on the Internet asks u to get a loan than nobody can help u! This is not a red flag it is a super red vulcano inferno!!!! No one with the tiniest bit of commen sense would keep on talkin to that person!
This is a good idea except that they are trying to get into a relationship with someone else and they have a big heart ❤️ so I would add that the best way for dealing with romantic feelings is to get your feelings out of the way and remove your emotions from the equation and so let say that you are looking for someone who you can be in a relationship with online and you spot this person and they are not in a relationship with anybody else you decide that you want to get to know them stop right there because you have already made a mistake you’re trying to make a connection using your emotions and that’s exactly how they get scammed because they don’t want to be alone with out somebody but if you want a good relationship then you don’t let your feelings in the relationship in the beginning of it that’s truly the only way you can be protected
