As a 53yr old growing up the 70s & 80s when the music scene was very diverse Queen was one of the groups that everyone was digging the scene with. I remember when Another One Bites The Dust was the jam in the 80s and many other jams by Queen. I said all that to say embarrassingly I might add, how in the world did I missed this Gem💎 💎 Rest Easy Freddie Mercury🙏🙏

There are no bad Queen albums - there are just different tastes in music: Hard rock fans hated the HOT SPACE album, but it inspired Michael Jackson, who really liked it, to THRILLER.
I love Queen. They are deffo the greatest rock band in my opinion. This album is amazing. Very groovy. And I am too a fan of hard rock and still love Queen's disco routes
I listen to almost nothing except progressive and alternate rock, so 80's disco is a really nice change. I had always wanted to listen to hot space for 2 years now but since people kept saying it was bad. A few weeks ago, I was tired of listening to even the not so successful songs, so I searched up 'lesser known queen songs'. And here we are, listening to Hot Space.

Damn, what the hell couldn't Freddie Mercury do??!! Had any scientist ever studied his voice, because I'm pretty sure it is most definitely a scientific oddity in the greatest way possible of course!
They studied his vocal chords and turns out the man could sing 4 octaves! FOUR BLOODY OCTAVES. Freddie was not of this world. He surpassed all of us mere mortals with his immense talent. Then AIDS came along and that of course ruined everything for a while there, at least until Brian and Roger found Adam Lambert. Thank whatever deity there is or is not for Adam; Freddie would be so proud
I've been a huge Queen fan for over 40 years and I admit that when this album first came out, I was NOT into it. It was too much a departure for me at that time, at that age, of the Queen that I knew and loved. Like so many other posters here, I "found" this song from the recent Amazon commercial and now that I'm older and wiser(?) I fell in love with this song. Freddie's voice is unreal ....so beautiful.... and it's a great funky little jam. RESPECT!
See, one thing I appreciate about Hot Space is that it *was* a departure. They continued to evolve and expand artistically, and try stuff that wasn't at all artistically safe. Once they'd established themselves, no 2 albums sound the same.
Well, music is subjective so any opinion is personal and shouldn't have to be changed. I don't particularly like this album but that doesn't mean I'm right and you are wrong...

Right!!?? I can be having a horrible day and/or in a BAD mood...then I hear this and my toes start tapping and head starts bobbing.....so long to that horrible day!
It's cause you're a cool cat 😉
Yaaaas! 🤸🏿♀️
What a voice !!
I just discovered this song just yesterday 😭 Why this isn't as popular as other queen songs? No joke! This is a masterpiece!
Never heard this until the Amazon commercial with the girl in the yellow jacket. Music always comes back full circle and touches for generations to come. Music will always have the magic to bring people together. Freddie Mercury sounds so different here. Love the vibe of this song.
I love that commercial.
Es john deacon quien canta y toca tosd#s los instrumentos
@@GabalepaFreddie is the one singing
Freddie and John together created this jewel which defies the passing of decades! To me it is as precious as One Year of Love!
Hellooo!!
Have we met before??
My name is "Replay Button"...

4th time listening today.
This song is so good!!!! John and Freddie, thank you for this gem. 💗
There Can Only Be One! My daughter & I were from his beginning. She had 2 LPs of every Queen album. One she never opened. Had every book printed about Queen.
I think much surprise 'new' QUEEN Songs are the Substitute Freddie Mercury singer(s).
That, Or Songs being reworked, or were composed using his voice & manipulating it electronically & with AI.
To my ear, this does NOT sound like FM. I think his unique vibes & timing can Not be matched by anyone else.
There are no bad Queen albums - there are just different tastes in music:
Hard rock fans hated the HOT SPACE album, but it inspired Michael Jackson, who really liked it, to THRILLER.
I liked hot space and I'm a hard rock fan
I love Queen. They are deffo the greatest rock band in my opinion. This album is amazing. Very groovy. And I am too a fan of hard rock and still love Queen's disco routes
I listen to almost nothing except progressive and alternate rock, so 80's disco is a really nice change. I had always wanted to listen to hot space for 2 years now but since people kept saying it was bad. A few weeks ago, I was tired of listening to even the not so successful songs, so I searched up 'lesser known queen songs'. And here we are, listening to Hot Space.
I'd say i'm hard rock fan, but in fact i'm heavy/progressive metal fan and i've always enjoyed this song and the album as wel. Come on, guys, there's no bad genres in music, there're just not good enough musicians. Listening to sanctuary then to queensryche and to the cool cat is cool)
WAITTTTTTTTTTT the hotspace album inspired michael jackson to make his thriller album?? i had no idea
I didn't know this song existed until I saw a commercial! Such an AWESOME and COOL song! This my new jam! Love it! Thank you Queen! I hope Adam Lambert does this song!
Me too
Same
Me to. Amazon Prime commercial.
Here bc of amazon
Same!
My brain cannot comprehend that this is Freddie Mercury singing. He sounds so different in this song in a good way
Yes. Mind blown at this discovery. 🎉 man had such a wild range!!
What makes you think that he couldn't sing falsetto?SMDH
i thought it was david bowie
I thought it was some hipster chick
You don't know much about Queen if you don't realize this.
Prime using this song was pure genius.......forever QUEEN 👑
I know, can you believe this song is from 1982? Pretty amazing stuff
Actually, Amazon didn't use it, the commercial was created and directed by actress Olivia Wilde. Amazon is a scum slave labor company, it could never have taste this good
Agreed! I love it :) I thought it was a girl singing it in the commercial and I liked her voice so I just typed in Cool Cat and this popped up! I'm hooked lol
One of the best commercials right now.
I know their profits increased by atleast %5
😂😂✌🏾
@@darrenbrown896 Freddie Mercury was kind of a girl. Lol.
Wow his falsetto sounds exactly as his full voice or is his headvoice, AMAZING.

VendibleUser right on
VendibleUser yeah!!!
Leomacpunk kind of magic is really bad,,, i think hot space has about 5 great songs amd some meh ones. But kind of magic is almost unredeemable if u ask me
@@YellowChoklit I think I like hot space better but a kind of magic is a great album it's got songs like who wants to live forever and one vision
@@Potatopot724 one vision and princes of the universe are pretty good but still not on par with their earlier material at all in my opinion
Absolutely love this. How did I not know it existed?? Freddie’s vocals WOW!
John and Freddie really knew how to set the mood 😊...this is perfect!
Whenever I listen to this song I feel inner peace and serenity
Me too..thats Freddies Gift🥰👑
You said it friend, straight up Serene ❤
I never ever heard this song before today....and now I can't stop listening to it....what an amazing relaxed and cool vibe it has!!!
What a lovely genre of song... Yes it is underrated!
I love this song so much. its just such a chill ass vibe.
Freddie: So, John, how much of this song do you want to be in falsetto?
John: Yes.
It was their song not johns
Edit
They wrote and composed it together
Freddie played keyboard, john played the rest
That made me laugh. Thanks
Lol! Great comment
Freddie you cool cat 🐈... Love you always .....
It's amazing how many Queen songs never got air time some of my favorite queen songs you never hear on the radio
Amazon commercial brought me here. I thought I knew most of Queen's music but this one slipped by. Very cool song and is now in my playlist.
Seems like everyone is baffled 😂 myself included. How did this never pop up with seven seas of rye
Me too 💯
Ditto!
Same here…. Wow
Same but not in a good way! I cannot STAND that commercial 😂
What a magical timeless sound!!!Love you Freddie!
Love this song, Freddie's voice gives me Prince Vibes.
Simple nice funk for genius bass writer.
His falsetto is sublime perfection.
Cool Cat loves you

Cara so genio...Fredy csnta toda musica no falsete....divino
I think this song should be in Guardians Of The Galaxy
_SEA_BUN_QUEEN_ • totally agree
I agree!!!
100% agree
You are a GENIUS it completely fits the movies aesthetic
Yes! I’m still waiting for any Queen song to appear in a Marvel movie
Damn, what the hell couldn't Freddie Mercury do??!! Had any scientist ever studied his voice, because I'm pretty sure it is most definitely a scientific oddity in the greatest way possible of course!
Actually they did
I know right..... The man literally was a genius 😃👍👍
Already studied a few years ago
he had a few physical deformities that allowed him to have such a spectacular voice
Freddie will never get enough credit for being able to do ANY genre. And all of queen will never get enough credit for being the best
Once they'd established themselves, no 2 albums sound the same.
such a lucky generation 😭🤍
This song is so sexy!!!! I love John's bass line and Freddie's voice in this song!!
hot space is a good album
change my mind
i dare you
Your mind is correct, no changing needed
Well, music is subjective so any opinion is personal and shouldn't have to be changed. I don't particularly like this album but that doesn't mean I'm right and you are wrong...
*brian is agressively typing*
Don't worry I won't
No changing, I agree with ya!!
Queen's deeper cuts on their less than popular LPs are still better than most bands' lead singles. A true hidden gem of a song.
una pasada de tema y que recursos vocales ,pura finurs
Cool cat is such a freaking bop. I love it. I dont really know why people hate hot space. Its a wild album but its got a lot of gems on it too if ya take the time to actually listen y'know 😻
John: okay freddie you have to sing this whole song in falsetto
Freddie: lmao okay
It was their song not John's
John: Freddie, you have to meaow this song all the way.
Freddie: Miau!
@@bluebell3720 but the idea came from John mind...John used to like funk and dance music for the grooviest bass Lines...
@@andreadidomenico6759
it wasn't Johns song
john and Freddie wrote it together
