- Turkish breakfast and Turkish coffee are famous around the world for very good reason. They're the perfect way to start the day in Turkey, which is a heaven for food lovers. In this video, we're in the Galata neighbourhood of Istanbul where the historic Galata Tower is located. Right near the tower is Şirin Fırın (Şirin Bakery), a super cute bakery serving up delicious traditional Turkish breakfast and Turkish coffee with a side of Turkish delight. We highly recommend stopping by here and giving these delicious Turkish staples a try!

Kahvaltı is breakfast in Turkish and literally means:before coffee. You must eat before that strong coffee . A lot of breakfast items we have in Turkey goes really well with black tea. So please try to have Turkish coffee after you eat it doesn’t matter breakfast,lunch or dinner 😀
Turkish breakfast without a scrambled egg and olive oil drizzled all over on top is a crime lol~! but everything looked great regardless!

Would love a Turkish breakfast looks so healthy. Would like to combine it with a visit to Hagia Sophia and take in a football match at Galatasaray. I love jam and cheese together also cheese/peanut butter, cheese/Marmite in fact anything with cheese

@@EileenAldis actually, you should drink turkish coffee after breakfast. breakfast in turkish is "kahvaltı" (kahve-altı) which means "the things you ate before coffee".
Türk kahvesi kahvaltıdan sonra içilir. Bizim kahvaltımızda çay içilir. 😃 Ayrıca gerçekten bir Türk kahvaltısı istiyorsanız menemensiz olmaz. Bir daha ki sefere artık. Afiyet olsun. 💜

Yay! Wasn't the presentation so pretty?! I love when food is laid out like that. hahah yes that coffee was strong but I loved it and also how they serve it with the cute water (reminded me a bit of Vienna coffee service) and Turkish delight. Can't get enough of that heavenly stuff. Happy you enjoyed sharing this meal with us! ;)
sorry guys but thats not the real traditional Turkish breakfast :D its just a small portion of it in a small bakery . You should really find a place and try real Turkish breakfast .I didnt see any kaymak , menemen and more kinds of jams , different kinds of cheeses and more stuff :) Hope you enjoyed your time here , wish you guys the best

Önceki yorumları okumadım, belki de yazmışlardır. Türk kültüründe kahvaltı, kahve içmeden önce alınan aperatiflerden oluşan bir öğündür. Breakfast( Kahvaltı: kahve+altı) Sert bir kahveye hazırlanmak için.. O yüzden kahvaltıda çay veya süt içeriz. Çok güzel bir çiftsiniz, özeniyorum size. Böyle dünya lezzetlerini tadarak gezmek en büyük hayalim :)
You should try the "menemen" and "kuymak" in the breakfast for sure :D

In Turkish breakfast means kahvaltı. It is combination of 2 words "Kahve" - "Altı" . Which means Under Coffee at direct translation. But it means like "Before coffee". We drink Turkish coffee after breakfast. We drink tea with breakfast :)

As with many cultures, Sunday breakfast turns into a brunch due to late wakers.
Today at the black sea region of Turkey we had a whopper of breakfast with 32 varieties on our table. That really took us by surprise and we did try every delicacy brought before us.
Turks love family gatherings and big and filled tables. So lucky to be married to a girl from the black sea region.

This was a bakery so they had a bakery style breakfast, still good but not in same scale of only breakfast restaurants at all which serve Turkish breakfast all day long!! You should definitely try one of those restaurants next time, believe me you won't regret it :))
