    In America and Canada, we're so used to eat processed foods. These look absolutely organic and I love how everything is so freshly made. You can't even get anything remotely similar to these unless you go eat in a 5-star restaurant in America. I hate the food culture in America. Everything is just processed and calculated. These look and feel both healthy and delicious. Even the street pastry called Lokma looks miles healthier than anything served at my local Dunkin. It is ridiculous. I'll visit Turkey as soon as this pandemic is over.

      @@berryindahouse Well, those look and taste good but when you’re done, you don’t feel good. Also, after a while, it all starts to taste blend. You can’t eat Arby’s every single day. Meanwhile, the things I see in every video about Turkish food I watch shows something that looks homemade but sold on the streets, like it is nothing. The constant tea drinking alone makes me feel healthier. I mean, how do they do that? They keep drinking that thing 5-6 times a day while my brother-in-law drinks a liter of pepsi a day. Why is America so dependent on this shitty industry. We need home cooked healthy meals and I’m not talking about things like cooking mac n cheese.

    • @mehmetgalip2789
      @mehmetgalip2789 3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Hi. I suggest you to try the local Turkish food samples, which are made at home and consumed frequently as healthy foods, in the video between 14:34 and 16:34.
      The drinks we consume the most are tea and ayran, perhaps even more than water. Tea is usually accompanied by breakfast products in the morning due to the stimulating substance (I think it's called theine). In addition, since our family structure is strong, we must eat together at home in the evening (the meals in the restaurant I mentioned above), it is after the meal to break the sleep mode of the body. But the most important part of tea is to drink it in conversation with the guest. It is not in the video, but Turkish coffee is also the main drink of the conversation.
      If the best choice for your eyes and your stomach to feed hungry to be Turkey. See you soon :)

    You should try “Cağ Kebap”, “Mantı”, “Kokoreç”, “Soups: Mercimek, işkembe, yayla, ezogelin”. You have to try “Sucuklu yumurta, menemen and kuymak at breakfast”. Olive oil foods: yaprak sarma, enginar, yeşil fasulye. You may try “Güveç” and you should try my fav “Kuru Fasülye with onion” at Çömlek restaurants. I dont want to talk about kebaps, lahmacun and pide, you have already tasted them i guess

    As for "sahlep" it is basically extracted from the kernels of wild orchids collected from forests and crushed to powder. Then boiled with milk. So the crust on top of it is of milk's.
    As for the dessert which is NOT baklava you described it perfectly! It is meant to look like a bird's nest by design and even its name is: Nightingale's nest (Bülbül yuvası in Turkish)

    Wow! What an amazing video. I am thinking about going to Turkey in September and now I am convinced I have to go! The food looks amazing and unlike certain countries, Turkey seems very Vegetarian friendly. Istanbul looks like an amazing city with so much culture and so many fascinating things to discover. What I liked most of your video was how appreciative and grateful you were of your moments and experiences in Turkey. Your excitement and happiness could be felt through your video ☺️Thank you for your hard work in putting together this wonderful video . Cheers from Yorkton Saskatchewan😊
