My anxiety is POWERFUL! Dealing with anxiety constantly is exhausting and can be really upsetting, depressing and hopeless. I've had it my entire life and I'm still here. I thank my anxiety for all the pain and suffering it has caused because I wouldn't be the spiritual person that I am today without it :)

This is a great comment. The Hebrew prophets, if you read those books, were pretty anxious. Moses was anxious. The apostles were anxious. Abe Lincoln was anxious & depressed. The Buddha's anxiety drove him to seek ultimate reality. Jesus was for sure anxious in the Garden of Gethsemane. "Sweating blood" sounds pretty tense. These are times of pure rupture, chaos, rapid change & global crises...so anyone who can practice calm, no matter how imperfectly, is on a hero's journey. Bless you.

Tysm for this! The low blood sugar thing I can relate to. It's a migraine trigger for me. I get anxiety right before a migraine bc I know what's coming. This video helped me to step back and observe the triggers and the mechanisms of anxiety. I feel more in control and hopeful, thank you Dr. Snipes!

Me too! All my attacks have been in a car either from a bridge or feeling claustrophobic in traffic so I feel you completely. What I'm doing is a)exposure therapy....drive in those areas that cause me anxiety. B) I do vagus nerve massages along my neck and ears. Dr Snipes has a video on this and there's a lot on YT that you can do with your ears as well. I do both and feel instantly calm. And lastly, the box breathing she talks about. I go longer on my exhale now and it really helps put me in a calm state. Your attacks will get shorter over time after doing all of the above. But you have to retrain your brain that those bridges are not scary (and believe it).

    • @taraistic

I would try the box breathing that she mentions in many of her videos. It does calm the body and mind and does tell the mind it is ok and you are safe. Try it during the day/night a fee times a day before seeing a Dr so your body doesn't make the anxiety worse when you try it for the first time in an episode. She mentions that as well.

It would be fantastic if one day scientists could use some laser targeted or ultrasound therapy to shrink the amygdala. I don't if that's a potential thing or just plain adverse.
