    Love these carnage videos, used to spend hours when i was a teen at my local scrap yard ,the owners used to give me the history on the wrecks and what happened as they recovered them..,.
    They had a car in withy minimal damage and all four elderley occupants died, the rear unbelted passengers struck the 2 in the front, thats sad. lot of new cars look terrible when they crash ,but its all crumple zones and even low impacts result in a huge mess.

    Randy, I think EVERY driver should have to see some real wrecked cars before driving. My father use to like to take me to our local wrecking yard and show me "What could happen" if you goofed off, or drank and drove, or didn't pay attention. Its close to 30 years later and my father is gone now, but I am yet to EVER get into a wreck and I arbitrate it to my father driving the fact of "what could happen" to me when i was growing up. I love watching your carnage videos as it brings me back to walking the wrecking yard with my gone but not forgotten father. Keep up the great work man.

    Those old Chevys are perfectly reliable daily drivers if they are halfway well maintained. I own a 63 Belair and a 63 Impala. Those cars were meant to run forever. This shiny one might hide a lot of hidden body problems under the paint. It is a pity they did not stick to the original interior though. I bet the car might look much better than it actually is.

    The dodge journey (and many dodges like the Avenger/Durango) have absolutely no resale value...and for good reason lol

    • @Stressless2023
      @Stressless2023 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Durango resale is actually very strong, as are most SUV's/CUV's these days, unless you mean the 1st or 2nd gen. Durango's which typically have little buyer interest. Journey's resale isn't terrible either... I've flipped a handful of them and turnaround is generally quick, never had to sell for much under KBB value. Dodge Avengers are duds though... virtually no buyer interest and hard to sell for any real money.

    • @jimmyjimjims7483
      @jimmyjimjims7483 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Stressless2023 The older Durangos (pre 2010) don't sell around here, the Avengers I can't give away and ESPECIALLY the Calibers, man those things aren't worth a nickel. The Darts are 50/50 because they're still "new" but I just avoid them, they will be the new Neon in time...haven't seen a running Nitro in ages lol.

    • @Stressless2023
      @Stressless2023 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jimmyjimjims7483 LOL @ the new Neon. I remember when they weren't old cars yet and I got my first "feel" for flipping cars after losing money on a couple of them. Wouldn't touch a Caliber with that CVT for $100, and I'd bet that it would grow roots in the pavement before anyone showed interest in buying it lol. And I couldn't believe he showed a Dodge Nitro in this video! I haven't seen one in ages, let alone a running/driving one lol. Out of all the non-antique Dodge cars to flip, I'd only bet my money on the 2010+ Durango's, Journey's, Charger's, Challenger's, "maybe" a Dart like you said, and a Viper lol. Aside from those, if it isn't some ultra low mileage cream-puff grandma-owned Dodge that I can get for a couple hundred bucks, I'd steer clear.

    I hate how new cars integrate the passenger airbag into the dash now. you get into a minor wreck and you have to replace the whole dashboard if you have someone sitting in the passenger seat and the passenger airbag goes off. You'd think the insurance companies would say something about this to car manufacturers, seeing as it cost them a lot more money now to replace the entire dash, than it used to when they just had to replace the passenger airbag module instead.

    I had a great well good Neon. The trans started doing weird shifts. I put a can of Shaler "GUNK" TRANS TREATMENT. It was fine the servos must stick. There is a drain cook by the thermostat I put a bottle of firestone additive in rad and let any air out of cooling system by opening the bleed by thermostat now and then, It was unreal in snow and was my work car for years hundred K a day. I loved that car..I retired and bought a Hemi Challenger new 10 years ago no problems. Service your car spend a few minutes checking oil etc.,

  • @Dang_Jim
    @Dang_Jim 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The biggest thing with these cars with "minimal" damage is. The labor in fixing some of these vehicles is crazy and it totals it out before adding the cost of parts. My 2015 Focus ended up with rear quarter panel damage, a dent and two creases in the body line. Body shop quoted $1500 before even looking at it.

    All Ford Escapes from 2013 have either a 1.6L I4 Turbo Ecoboost or the 2.0L I4 Turbo Ecoboost like the Fusion and Lincoln MKZ.
    The newer Titan XD has the 5.0L V8 Cummins TurboDiesel unlike the other Titans that had the 5.6L V8 like the Armada and Infiniti QX80 (AKA QX56).
    The Prius is nice. I guess you can go for it.
    I live in California and my dad bought a 1996 Dodge Ram Conversion Van in 1999 with only 30,000 miles and he sold it back in 2012 with only 75,000. It just sat in our Garage for years because he drove his 1993 Buick Park Avenue ALL THE TIME. The Ram had a 5.9L V8 Magnum Engine. The white Nissan Titan crashed into, and probably through, the wall of a building. It looks like it was a work vehicle anyway so it probably had a hard life before the crash. With that much damage I would expect the chassis/frame to be damaged and with the engine pushed back like that you'd have to think there's going to be significant damage to the drive train too so there really isn't much left to say for it...

    5:25 you should see them drive 200 miles south of you ;) 16:50 put 100.00 timing belt/idler & water pump kit on from rock auto @ 1.5 hours repair time and sell it for 1500 they get 24mpg all day long. Easiest 4 banger to work on/repair. Key jingle (on off on off on) will show you cel codes. 350 bucks is a steal

    Why would anyone buy a burned out car? The Explorer and the Camrey? What could they possibly get out of them?

    i hate to say but when you see the plastic tarp material on the cars that is a sure sign that the fire dept has covered the bodies for discretionary reasons.

    As I learned with my 2010 Ford focus SEL Sedan manual transmission I had a death about 6“ x 3“ on the passenger side fender and it blew the passenger side curtain airbag and the airbag in the steering wheel and shut the engine completely down and we’re not start once the airbags deploy there’s a cut off switch that needs to be replaced in order for it to start again And the modules alone for the airbag, each or $500 and there was two of them nearest to say, the car was totaled once it reached $7,500 damage on a $9,000 valued car. I was actually really upset cuz I thought it wouldn’t b totaled. I was backed into in a parking lot and the pass wheel took most hit and didn’t do any mechanical damage like I didn’t break the axle or the ball joints or anything like that

    weird beard could fix that entrant. you can buy that inter fender new and he can weld it into place. but it looks like the front subframe or h frame or whatever they want to call it on that car needs replaced as well on the front. were the control arms connect were broken. if he could get those parts used it wouldn't be that costly of a repair.
