I agree with the Impala. I bought a 2005 LS 3.8L, with 6k miles on it. Had it 15 yrs, 189k miles. Live in NH, and she rusted out bad. Never had any major issues. Still ran very good. i maintained it well. Didnt know about wool wax undercoating which i do now. Impalas were awesome cars
That King Ranch is nice. 223k looking like that? Yeah, they were particular about it. They had to keep changing engines because they kept blowing up, but I think they finally got it w/ 6.7L. The 7.3L International Powerstroke was a great engine, even liked the 7.3L IDI which I had a great time owning in a big E350 15 passenger club wagon. I used to load it down on group trips and everyone loved it.

He had a commercial Noco but he sent that one back because it is too heavy to lug around all day. Sometimes he doesn't bring a booser pack because of the weight on his shoulder.
That king ranch is beautiful BUT years 2008-2010 6.4L power strokes are known for catastrophic engine failure. You either want a 7.3, 6.7, or the 6.0 IF ITS BULLETPROOFED lol
While paying off my wife’s new Honda I drink a 2009 Impala state of. NC government surplus vehicles. Love it and bought it for $2000, drives like a dream and cheap on gas!

My local Ford dealer has told me not to even bother with the 6.0 or 6.4 cause they have nothing but problems & its when ford tried having other companies build their diesel engines. In 2011 ford went back to building their own diesel engines with the 6.7L powerstroke. I've got a 2001 F-250 Lariat 7.3L powerstroke.

I had one of those Chrysler LHS when it was nearly new, I loved that car. I cannot disagree more that any used Mercedes/Audi/BMW or anything European with over 100K miles is worth buying, they are terrifying money pits and they are always in bad shape by 100K.
hi i have a 2021 ford xlt rapid red basic 4 by 4 its got 2.7.i lined it up with a 2018 xlt 5.0 this morning.i smoked him of the line but he got me midrange and on.the 5.0s kick in midrange the 2.7 runs out but fast off the line.mine has the 12 inch screen to i love that

Ford makes a great product now. But not that diesel. The 6.4 is (not even arguable) the WORST diesel engine in a pickup ever. 6.0 after 03 was a great diesel once the egr was deleted and head studs were replaced. (Unless you had a pavement princess with tuners).

I love my 02 Blazer ZR2 w/ rear locker that I bought from a Grandpa in Houston for $3k 7yrs ago & she's still running as smooth as the day it was built, 18mpg & the sticker shows 16mpg. Then I found my Wife a Showroom Condition Granny kept 09 Ford Escape XLT Non-Hybrid w/ 60k miles for $2k South of Houston!!! I could flip them but Momma said no & I love my ZR2. $5k for 2 very dependable vehicles.. That's a Win..

Indeed, there are multiple reasons why stock 6.4s are considered throw away engines.
Lies, the Ford 6.0 was the worst even studded if you put too much power to it. The 6.4 deleted and tuned is a good diesel.

Outside of cracked pistons (not an if, a when), melted injector tips, leaking up pipes, pump failures to name….just a few. Yea. Great engine.

6.4 engines are a money pit. We had one on the ranch (DRW) and it was only driven to haul cattle and ranch supplies.
