I have 100 planted in grow bags this year (7b/8a) and I already have one blooming and several others budding up!! I tested bags vs ground last year because I have clay and it would take way too much to amend for so many and the bags did fantastic! Good luck!!

Hi! You can leave the bags outside in the rain as long as you're using well-draining soil just don't add extra water (by watering them) until you see the first green poking up. Hope that helps!

Yes, it worked really well and we highly recommend! We've filmed several videos updating the progress and we were very happy with the results. We're going on our third year now growing them in bags! 😀

As a seamstress I made my own dahlias bags from landscape fabric. How do you guys deal with slugs feasting on your dahlias?
