thing is they don't break. you just service them. the biggest issue with them in the military was they don't get used... they sit there until all of a sudden they're needed and something breaks. but I was always operating, and I never had any issues with my HEMTT. these things are especially built well... maybe except the high pressure fuel pump.

@@enermaxstephens1051 No you mix thin viscosity fluids with thicker fluids and you just make your own mixture. There's a learning curve but after that's done you know about how much gas to mix with motor oil or kerosene with vegetable oil.
My father and I bought a 2001 Volkswagen Polo for 500 euros in almost perfect condition (cleaning the interior and replacing some consumables). My story is about on par with the military all-terrain vehicle for 18K. :)

I was single all the way into my 30s. I did it, in fact, one of my buddies had a deuce and a half, he converted into an awesome self-contained motorhome. You could go from cab to quarters by just turning around. It looked a lot like those Antarctic Russian machines. My other buddy did the PLS and one of my other friends got a hold of one of the command center trailers and converted it. His was so cool because the PLS could drop it and he could take the rig to go do whatever and it had enough room on the back of it to have his little fiat

It’s just a 2 axle goose neck camper with the axles removed put on the back of a surplus army truck. Really cool idea but not all that hard to do.
