The Earthroamer is an amazing vehicle - but for the $600K+ it costs, I think I would rather have a nice 3000 sq. ft. home.

Many vehicles exist for any outdoor activities,
What is needed is highly paid monthly salary, Aswell as time to enjoy outdoor activities camping and life experiences.
No normal person can afford one of these "Expedition" vehicles that I know of. They cost 2-3X what an actual house cost.

If you get something like this stuck out in the wilderness you will pay a outrageous amount to recover it. Better to stick to the beaten path with a normal RV while pulling a 4x4 vehicle of your choice. Travel the backwoods with a 4x4 like a normal person. Also when a Recreational vehicle is wrecked the repair time can easily take a year or more because of waiting on parts to be built. If the RV is no longer in production then someone has to make the individual part at a very high cost .
Now just waiting for someone make an off-road tesla amd you'd have the perfect bug out set up

As a matter of fact, the most expensive and luxurious of them all costs around 1 million euros. You can buy a proper airplane for that kind of money. The least expensive options still cost almost half a million euros.
we have had to tow out three of the type rigs, they are crap in the really nasty stuff
does the Earthroamer not have a toilet and shower? they didn't show it off it the promo. perhaps not a good sign. for $700K one would think it has a badass flusher and shower.

I'm sorry, but in my opinion, extreme off-road skills are more than driving along a dirt road. The vehicles all have wheelbases that are too long and hit every serious hilltop. The storage boxes are hanging too low and compound the problem. Unfortunately, these are all vehicles for weirdos but not for people who seriously want to drive off-road with them.
If you really want to drive off-road, you get an old military truck and build a cabin on it yourself. If you then easily save 400K in money and in the end you have a vehicle that keeps what it promises.
Can't afford it.

Those are Ultimate Graveyard Vehicles as there is no protection against sick/dead trees wich may fall during wild camping and crash people inside. In camp grounds somebody takes care about dangerous trees 😉 not the case with those so advertised 'Ultimate'

The most confusing thing was actually how they said "Man" instead of "M-A-N" like we in Germany do.
I was llike "Wtf? What? By Men? Aren't all Vehicles here on earth built by men? Are there motorized Vehicles which are built by Animals? Aliens? What?".
The vehicle manufacturer M.A.N. is pronounced 'm, a, n'.
Only a computer voice sees M.A.N. then uses its synthetic voice to say 'man'.

Let's get real here guys... even for the very few people who can afford any of these vehicles, it requires a serious initial investment. On top of that, there's insurance, maintenance, and it's not like you can take it to any grease monkey for a tune-up and oil change. Next, fuel cost...the list goes on and on. The real question here is, how often are you going to drive the monster. Nice toys for very deep pockets! Cheers.

These vehicles have a price tag similar to Lamborghini Aventador or Ferrari SF90. Hundreds of thousands of dollars. A Tesla Cybertruck is much much cheaper.

Definitely not.
Some of them, especially the Mercedes based vehicles, have fairly luxurious, comfortable, roomy interiors.
And the Mercedes unimog with that huge front window, would feel even more spacious than it actually is, because of the crazy amount of visibility it provides.
EarthRoamer looks badass but I don’t think it’s all that capable. I’ve seen videos where it got stuck in mud and couldn’t get over a log or a boulder. Not even the winch could get it past that boulder/log.
