    thanks brother for posting this, been looking at coastal off road bumpers for diy bumper job. Looks like I won't be needing an expensive welder for a weekend project

      Nice! Yeah I’m actually thinking about getting their kit for my 80 series! Sequoia are such an affordable platform that people snooze on for overlanding! Subscribed right back atcha bud!

    Looking to order the rear Coastal Off-road bumper
    Currently learning how to weld with my Harbor Freight Chicago flux Wire Welder. Great work!!

      Do it! I put together a full rear swing out bumper on my Land Cruiser with the flux core welder!

      For the price compared to a Land Cruiser- you get ALOT more bang for your buck!

      @@Austin_SaintOnge pretty much why I got the Sequoia. Part of me wish I got the Lexus GX470. The Sequoia was much nicer to my bank account. Looking to improve my approach angle. The bumper and sliders are definitely on my list. That $200 Welder is definitely clutch. I'm thinking about picking one!. But I'm spoiled I'm used to MIG welding with the gas bottle.

    • @Austin_SaintOnge
      @Austin_SaintOnge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The gx470 reminds me of something from Star Wars that a stormtrooper would drive🤣 I like the look of the sequoia more. Oh if you’ve got a mig then for sure that’s much better!

      @@Austin_SaintOnge as of now I don't have any welder. So I'd have to relearn with a welder like you have probably.

    • @Austin_SaintOnge
      @Austin_SaintOnge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh my bad I misread what you said😄 if you started on a mig machine- this one will be even easier!
      I purchased their top of the line tig welder too (Vulcan) and have been practicing on it with stainless and aluminum. Will be doing a ‘review’ style video on it soon

    If you get yourself some good anti-spatter spray go a bit slower and make sure to keep your distance cobsistent it will look great!

    Hey great vid! Did you grind down the welds on the bumper at all or leave them as is?

    • @Austin_SaintOnge
      @Austin_SaintOnge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I think I grinded them down- not fully though- just enough to look decent

    So a year later how are the welds holding up? I have that welder, wondering if it is good enough to put together bumpers or sliders.
