Nice bumper. I'm thinking about this one or a Warrior Products bumper. You have a couple things mixed up with MIG welding. Fluxcore (FCAW) is weld wire that contains flux material in its core to give off inert gasses when it melts to shield the weld area. The diagram you included in the video is of FCAW. MIG is Metal Inert Gas welding (gas in pressurized bottle delivery). Your machine is capable of doing both however you were welding MIG. Although both methods of welding are very similar since they use inert gas to shield the weld from reactive chemicals such as the regular atmosphere it is improper to refer to MIG wire as flux................just MIG wire or wire would do.

It seems hard. Not sure if I have the fortitude.

Get you some solid mig wire, .030", and 100% CO2 or 75/25 CO2/Argon. You'll have a much easier time learning and laying down a beautiful weld. Also, try small C's rather than circles until you understand the puddle. Great to see you getting after it and just doing it. Awesome job!

Looking good, Moe! If you go wheeling with this when you're done building I'd love to join and send my brother some pictures of the second life you gave his old FJ.
