Hey nice video... for the beginners it's great demonstrations. I've been using libre sensors for over 3 years, it's a great patch. Now I don't need to do a frequent finger pricking but still scanning had become a tedious task for me. I searched a lot for the CGM devices which could give me readings without scanning. Now I'm using Blucon Nightrider on top of my sensor which not only gives me automatic reading but also alarms without scanning the sensor.
Great video - I've been using mine now for 10 days and was looking for a video like this. One think missing though - at what point do you scan the new sensor?
i scan the new sensor once there’s a message that the old one has finished. usually it will show you about 24 hours before it’s about to end. once it does, it’ll give you the prompt to scan a new one
Hi, just did my first anwent to do my second today but couldnt get it out of the packaging. How do you get the blue collar thing on the applicator to come back down, what am I missing?
Nice video.. I was so afraid while applying my first sensor, I applied it any how but there was no pain, I even didn't feel it but when the time came to change the sensor, my tension arises more as pealing off the sensor is not easy but it was done too with baby oil on earbud. Anyways Libre is really beneficial if we think about the painful finger prick. Life is smooth after using the Libre sensor but scanning is tedious task for me. Now I'm using Nightrider on top of my libre to get the readings without scanning the sensor.
Nice video, I am using the FreeStyle Libre Pro sensor and Blucon device from the last few months. It is working well with Libre and give me alerts every time when my glucose values are not in range.
My endo recommended Nightrider Blucon with Freestyle libre as a CGM and I must say it has taken my diabetes management to another level. The Linkblucon app also allows my family to follow my spikes and lows. It's the best CGM I've tried yet!
Hey nice video and explained well. Wanna share that I'm using Libre 1 sensor and I don't need either reader or libre app to active the sensor. I tried Ambrosia's new Blucon nightrider which activates the Libre pro and Libre 1 sensors. And getting readings on phone every fine minutes even without scanning the sensor. I get alarms on HI/LO readings. I can also share readings with my 5 loved ones. Isn't it great!
Hey how is it possible without Libre reader? Will it able to activate my libre pro sensor? Please help me as I've to visit my doctor to activate the sensor. Pro Readers are not available in India. You're kind help may save my money and time. Thanks in advance!
@@sarahpriscilla_ Hey Sarah I liked your video. I'm also using the same device as Ayesha and Amelie is using. I've been using it for past couple of years and tried their new version also which activates the libre sensor 1 and pro version. I'm a part of a diabetic group in India and we all are using Blucon Nightrider for past many years. Actually this is a CGM device and you don't need to scan the sensor to get the reading. Best part is Blucon works with all Libre sensors available worldwide.
Hi Amelie, I use Libre1 with Blucon device and the device reactivate my Libre sensor for another 14 days which is really helpful. Also, I love the alarm feature of the device as it updates me every time when my glucose values go down.
Thanks for sharing this video. Libre is anyways a life changer device but to make it a full CGM and to get alarms I'm using Ambrosia's Nightrider. I was so disturbed without alarms now I can have good sleep.
first time when i had applied this i was too scared but now this i find is most easiet thing to do..I use this sensor with blucon which converts this sensor into an active CGM, whereby I am able to see every 5 minute sugar reading over my mobile screen. It beeps an alarm when sugars go below or above range and allows me to share my readings with 5 people at same time.
I've also been using the Libre sensor for past 4 years but all the time carrying reader and scanning the sensor is a tedious task. I'm by profession a lawyer so can't carry the phone all the time and can't even scan the sensor. I'm using Blucon on top of the sensor to get the automatic readings and alarms on my watch without scanning the sensor. I can take out extensive reports upto 5 years from their web portal. My endo is very happy as blucon with sensor my diabetes is in range.
i’m sorry, i haven’t had any issues with rashes so i can’t help with that! as for helping your sensor stay on, skin tac has been the only thing that has helped me, but it might irritate your skin more so that might not be a good option
Why doesn’t the app work on my iPhone XR? It works fine for the Libre 2 reader perfectly. And to be clear: The phone registers a scan, but says the sensor won’t work with this version of the app. But this is the most recent version of the app. Please help!
@@sarahpriscilla_ thank you for responding. I just called Abbot and they said what others in the community have been saying: The app is only good for the Libre 1 sensors, because the FDA hasn’t approved Libre 2 sensors yet. Should be another month. Thanks!
you can use Blucon on top of your sensor to get readings on smart watch without phone while you will be in school. Your loved once can also follow your readings remotely. I've been using it for over 2.5 years and my A1c is not under control
I used libre freestyle 2, it was OK for first two weeks, although the numbers were 20 unit less than meter even if I waited 5 min after taking test with meter. Then I changed the sensor, this time gave me very low numbers all the time. Abbot sent me a new one this one has same issue
If you use Blucon Nighrider on top of your sensor this issue will be resolved as Nightrider allow callibration and as a result there will be no variation and you will get accurate readings
Nice video, I use my FreeStyle Libre sensor with Ambrosia blucon device as it updates the readings on my watch directly without the phone and without scanning the sensor.
i’m starting with a libre tomorrow and i’ve been anxious for quite a while but this makes me much calmer! thank you!💜
i’m glad! hope it works well for you :)

My samsung wont link up with my libre and I use the s20?
Very informative video. Thank you for that. My only question is where do you purchase the replacement sensors from?
from the pharmacy!
@@sarahpriscilla_ Awesome. Thanks for the info 👍

ah cool!
Your blood sugar is 7.8??? Is that your hgbA1c average or something???
no, that was just my blood sugar at that specific time :)
@@sarahpriscilla_ but your blood sugar is supposed to be between 60-100
I mean that s a normal reading
ah, i’m assuming you’re american, right? i live in Canada where we use mmol/L to measure blood sugar levels, not mg/dL. 7.8 mmol/L is about 140 mg/dL
@@sarahpriscilla_ ohhhhhh ok yes I’m in America and these just came out here and I was researching them as I must know all new products being a nurse
Like your video😊this is new for me,and in 10 days i will take it off.
And for first time put freestyle libre 2 on to my arm. From Marianne in Norway😊😎
You could buy skin tac away or other wipes to get the adhesive off better!
that’s a good idea!
Use oil to get it off
Oh, your glucose level is high....
