Way to go with your A1c and time in range 😊 I’m coming up to my one year diaversary. It’s definitely a big life adjustment. I’m happy to see you are managing well

I love these types of videos as I’ve had diabetes for 7 ish years (omg it doesn’t feel that long ) I’m 16 and sometimes I feel very unmotivated to care for my diabetes so these types of videos remind me to check my glucose more and try to keep it more in range thank you! I love your videos btw also well done on keeping your bloods in range x

Hey Sarah ! Contrats on your new A1C you're doing great, and after seeing what kind of food you're eating I can confidently say that you will be joining the 5% A1C group in no time !
if I have one piece of advice to tell you that would be don't get obsessed with the numbers. Being successful with diabetes is like anything else: take a middle ground. Ignoring it is a recipe for disaster, but having it take over your life can be even worse. Don't get frustrated over individual blood glucose levels or even A1C levels you don't like. Set goals that are realistic and attainable given all of the other competing demands in your life. Perfectionism in type 1 diabetes self-management is a recipe for frustration and demotivation. Just try to do the best you can. In the end, you will more likely than not be very successful.
and one last thing! don't you ever try "KETO" :D !!
Greeting from a T1D to another

thanks for the advice! balance and not obsessing over numbers is definitely something i’m trying to work towards :)
and don’t worry, i tried a (not very strict) version of keto when i first got diagnosed and i did NOT like it! definitely not for me haha

I get my blood work done every 3 months. I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago at 56.... don't be scared and you will go through a honeymoon period with your pancreas. Just monitor and test. I am lucky to have a freestyle libre. Love it. I test one hour after eating and then 2 hrs and adjust. Stay safe and healthy my friend. and Stay Strong

Enjoy your honeymoon. And then don't be be discouraged by having to take more insulin later on. It will change so learning to adjust your ratio and basal is important.
