    If your TV only has [Black Level] "Low" or "High" (for example LG C9 outside PC Mode), then the correct settings would be:
    - [RGB Range] "Limited" on the PS5; and
    - [Black Level] "Low" on the TV.

    Thank you HDTVTest, your videos had a big influence on my decision. PS5's are nowhere to be found, my 2016 Sony Bravia is over 4 years old and I was wondering if it was worth it or not to upgrade my TV first until the PS5 becomes more widely available. Which TV is best for PS5 and how to best optimize the settings is exactly what I wanted to know, and these highly informative review videos answer everything. So glad to discover this channel. I love my Bravia and didn't plan on replacing it when I get the PS5. But the price, picture quality, input lag time and features have improved so much in the last 4 years that I think now is a great time to buy. I'm very partial to Sony products and looked long and hard at the X900H, but this LG looks unreal so I'm going for it next week. If anyone seeing this comment already has this TV with a PS5 running on it, I'd really like to know what you think.

The color “Color Format” says: When displaying 4K HDR 60Hz, the color format will be YUV420 or YUV422 instead of RGB due to HDMI 2.0 transfer speed limitations.
      My HDCP is a 2.3
      Information for the HDMI device
      HDR: Supported
      Frequencies (HDR): 24 Hz, 25 Hz, 30 Hz, 50 Hz, (YUV422/420), 60 Hz (YUV422/420). These are the available frequencies for 4K output when HDR is in use.
      Then the frequencies of (Non - HDR), 24Hz, 25Hz, 30Hz, & 60Hz.
      What do I need to do if I need to do since my TV is a 65” 4K UHD SAMSUNG brand but like I said it’s picture is in 3840 x 2160 - 60 Hz & my system is able to let me enable the 120Hz Format but I’m still getting the 60Hz instead of 120. Just checking to see if anyone would know what to do since I have the my 4K HDMI Cable hooked up to it’s supported area to enable the 120 Hz but still getting it at 60Hz that I don’t know why though but even though I’m not having any trouble with the frame rate on my system but when I’ve been watching these videos to help your system run in FULL 4K 4:4:4 of the best quality picture & still watching tv, not having any problems as well in having it’s picture in 4K, not any flickering or anything as well while watching a 4K movie as well on my PS5

      I actually did some tweaking myself. And believe me this tv almost doesn't need any enhancements. Gamemode is nearly accurate in color. You can boost contrast to 100 if you like. Personally I don't like it. And color to 54 only 1 down, so not needed at all. Do the adjust HDR on ps5 and done. Things like adv. contrast enhancer fluctuates the colors to much. Leave local dimming at medium (less blooming) and X-tended dynamic range at high (in HDR) Also do the external device setup for Hfr. Colour temperature on expert 1. Makes the colours so much more real and more different colours. Tried all the other settings, but it'll feel like a houseparty with to many disco lights. I still wanna hear and see what Vincent comes up with. Wanna see the perfect values of the HDR adjust and calibration for the Sony x900h (xh90).

    I calculated 4K@60 w/ 4:4:4 chroma to only take 15 Gbps. I may be having trouble calculating data rates with the addition of chroma subsampling, and would greatly appreciate your help!! Here are my examples.
    For 4:4:4 (Full RGB) - 3840*2160 = 8294400 pixels * 60 fps = 497664000 pixels/s * 3 color channels (RGB) * 10 bits/color channel = 14929920000 bit/s = 14.93 Gbps
    For 4:2:2 - 3840*2160 = 8294400 pixels * 60 fps = 497664000 pixels/s * 2 color channels (4+2+2=8, 8/12=0.66, 0.66*3=2) * 10 bits/color channel = 9.95 Gbps
    For 4:2:0 - 3840*2160 = 8294400 pixels * 60 fps = 497664000 pixels/s * 1.5 color channels (4+2+0=6, 6/12=0.5, 0.5*3=1.5) * 10 bits/color channel = 7.46 Gbps
    Is my math wrong?

    • @alexg9155
      @alexg9155 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very late but I'll reply anyway. The math is not wrong, however you are forgetting Hblank and Vblank, "pixels" you don't see, which bump the bandwidth up to almost 18GBps. That should fit in HDMI 2.0, but that speed is the aggregate (6+6+6) and is never reached. You actually get 80% of that, which is not enough for 4K60 RGB 10bit even without Vblank and Hblank factored in.
