Hey bro good job once again!! From the clear coats you have used which would you rate the least yellow, I do normally apply just one coat towards the edges with clear coat specially with light colours, interest to now your take on this
So glad someone had made a video lke this absolutely spot on had the same issues was in the trade for roughly 8 year's ! I do miss painting !left the trade ! I dnt miss the drama and politics! Shitty customers and bosses ! I personally believe every painter should have a prep guy to help with the workload and stress no matter how matter big or small the shop
How do you wash the microfibres, just hot water or with a wash powder? Have you ever painted mipa solvent based coat? I'm struggling with it as it's nothing like max meyer it goes down lumpy and dries really slow
Hey man I am painting a bedside and fender on my 2012 Silverado that was my grandpas. I'm just about all ready for paint on the face of the panels and already have the wheel wells and inside of the panels painted and they turned out great. I cleared them with the Finish 1 fc720 and 1 stumbled across a video that said it had bad uv resistance and I researched and some more people feel the same way. What would be the best clear for this? I understand some clears are 600 dollars but don't want to spend that much as I am already very deep money wise into this project. I'm willing to go probably 300 dollars. Any thoughts and suggestions from anyone are appreciated! Thanks
Great advice on the mask. The chemicals currently being phased out are the ones found to break down brain tissue or carcinogenic. Brake Parts cleaner will be targeted as well as very similar to Prepsol.
Hello gunny been following you for over 10 years love the channel and everything! Top fella! I just went on the shop but can't find the colad gunny logo suits
@@roymoxley2587 ppg isn't crap. Sherwin-Williams isn't crap. Axalta isn't crap. I always get a kick out of people that blast the hell out of other paint manufacturers because they're satisfied with the one they're using. Anybody can spray Glasurit and it works. It's a great system.
Initially by the title and before I watch this video I thought maybe this should be on the RAW channel which I feel like needs some new videos my man! I don't like PPG, I want standox based from your experience for my VS panther mica respray cheers. Would go glasuirt but costs too much and colours aren't right for older Holdens.
Best way to end the weekend and start a new week. Watching gunny paint some shit 😅🤘
Done well, I thought the clear was going to run for sure. Perfect.
This was very satisfying to watch, definitely going to check out more!!!
Hay Retro Rob, glad to see you drop by. But obviously only watch what you want man.
@@TheGunmanChannel will do my friend, I like this kinda stuff and it’s nice that it’s not gaming lol
Excellent, as usual. Materials are crazy but that has become the norm. Thanks.
A lovely job as always, brother!
Sir, my advice is: use opaque masking paper designed for automotive paint.

As to the debris, some guys in the States put tape over the paint cup to keep trash from falling off and ending up on the painted surface.
Nicely done there Gunny, it's good to see a ProLite in action again but I'm as guilty as you foe not using them so much these days🙏👍John UK

What’s with the trash nibs Dirty air or dirty booth
What tack rag do you use mate?
So basically you have to work up you reducer ratio with every product you use. 10% is great if you're looking for a ceiling popcorn finish!😂
Well, I think his results always speak for themselves. Let's see a video of your awesome work bud.😂
Entirely depends on the product, some clear coats even require no reducer
Ppg is crap I have the best results with glasrit paint If it’s used on Mercedes it’s good enough for me

So.... Gunny....after so many paint jobs....Ppg or Standox???
Standox any day but PPG has it's advantages
