Got MineS :) And I absolutely love it.
Honda knocked it out of the park on the re-design of the Fireblade engine. No shade to any other brands - lots of great bikes out there. If you want a really rideable bike that has the power on demand in any rev range and is really super smooth and easy to ride with some nice features found on pricier bike, it's a great choice... at least it was for me. :)

I rode all the super nakeds 2 weekends ago at AIM. I love the look and detail of this bike, but it was my LEAST favorite to ride. It was ridiculously buzzy through the bars, seat, and pegs. Like in a 45 minute ride, my hands and feet were numb. It also felt very sterile compared to the Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and KTM. All the others were so much more fun and exciting experience to ride. The FZ-10/MT-10 is still my favorite all around package, even compared to the Super Duke.

I have been looking at all the options for a first bike for a while now but something about this bike steals my attention. I know is a big or somewhat a lot of bike for a fairly new rider but have to say that after sitting on it for a good 20 minutes I truly feel comfortable. Im a big guy so I am kinda hesitant towards the more beginner friendly bikes. So my question is would this bike be indeed too much bike for a beginner or is it smooth and docile to the point where a responsible person that respects the dangers of riding can start on it and grow into it?

    • @rommelloreto575

You can set the power in levels 1,2 or 3. That would practically make it a 600cc, 800cc and 1000cc bike and set it according to your skill level

Its like a monster grom I like it
I think I would change what u said, plus I would remove the honda badges off the tank area there, and/or put the turn signals on that location... and then side mirrors that come off the sides of the handlebars and up and around above your hands [if that makes sense] .. Or just one round mirror hanging off the left handlebar.
Hondas are always so fun to ride
New to the channel youtube recommended the vid.. will subscribe

    • @jaromor8808
      @jaromor8808 5 ปีที่แล้ว

How would you power those turn signals?
As for the mirrors... The standard ones are positioned way too close to the center of the bike, which means my own elbows and shoulders take up most of the view unless I shift my body awkwardly. So I ordered those in-bar ones. But before they arrived I experienced few situations where I was happy af there is nothing sticking out of my grips. (Sometimes you wanna sneak your way through a gap between two cars/their mirrors.)

Just bought the 2021 black edition. Fun fact the LED headlights are utterly worthless so I’m watching TH-cam videos until the sun comes up. Other than the disgustingly under powered headlight I have zero complaints other than it has no cruise control at this price point in 2021 but it does ave a super smooth quick shift. Amazing bike in general just wish it had cruise control. If they give it cruise control next year I’ll be so freaking mad ngl 😅

I have had my CB1000R now for 1 week and have been able to use it on all types of roads in both rain and standard modes. Travelling at 70 mph (approx. 4,600 revs)on the motorway was comfortable and the ride was compliant suggesting light/ medium touring would be good to do, standard mode offered greater responsiveness than rain with delivery in both smooth and rewarding accompanied by a nice exhaust note (standard can). Obviously I am still running the engine in so do not know yet what the added value will be once revs go above 5,500 when the exhaust note and engine power changes but this is to come. You are right in stating that this bike is a gem. Interesting note is that mpg is continuing to increase and my bike is now registering 41mpg and is going up.

@@forgedabouted You have different riding modes controlled by the electronics of the bike, like sport, rain, ...in rain, the power delivery of the engine is turned down, so it's more controllable. And you have a "user" mode where you can set traction control, engine breaking and power delivery yourself in three steps each, so you can put power delivery on 1 (calm/easy) and traction control on 3 (high) until you're familiar with the bike...and then try the higher power settings. ;)

@@forgedabouted You're welcome, glad to help! :) I think this can be a good first bike. Power delivery is very smooth and controllable and it's also quite light and nimble, you just have to respect the fact that you're sitting on a 146hp bike and not go crazy at first. ;)
I've had my last own bike in 2002, but I've ridden several over the years, and I'm seriously considering to get me a CB 1000 R in 2020...just love the bike.

I test rode the cb1000r in 2009 and loved it. Have been waiting for this bike for years and 2 months before it came out my motorbike got stolen for the 2nd time in 9 months. I've retired from riding for a while due to thefts. I also think I should probably get the Suzuki because it looks shit in comparison and I'll just ride it like I stole it vs spending half of Saturday spit polishing it like I would with the Honda.

Its a great bike but its sad you are not going over the technical spec. Dont know if was the part that was lost but tell us why it feels amazing. Suspention, braking, torque, dash, lichts, options... So much to talk about.

Beautiful bike, but wait till you go to adjust the chain and you realize you can’t access the pinch bolts on the single sided swing arm because of the license plate mount.
