    Probably should cut the insides out first before the outside. Although in your case the "O's" did not have an inside.

    Hola, excelente, el motor que sostiene a la cuchilla está energizado como para girar hacia la dirección de corte? Si es asi, podrias explicar como es su conexión con la placa por favor? Muchas gracias.

    I have a Donek D2. But struggle with the offset setting. We would like to print on coroplast or foamboard, and then use the Donek to cut on the line so we get nice clean cuts for perfect cutouts. Assuming we have a 4x8' sheet of foamboard or coroplast down, and full=body picture of a person-centered on the board and our normal starting position lower left on the vcarve screen. How do we set home with the Donek? Normally we set standard endmill bits home in the lower left hand corner of our substrate and them the CNC cuts out the image on the outside line. Do we just input a correct offset for the d2 blade, put that blade in the same corner ? We seem to get mixed results and I'd love to nail it so it hits the line perfectly. Thanks for any video showing how you print on a substrate then setup mach3, and home the blade to cut on the line. That would be helpful...

    Hi! How is the knife changing direction? Just with friction as it gets dragged along? Are there any open source programs I could generate cut paths with? Thanks!!

    • @ooznest
      @ooznest  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it follows the path as it is dragged. On sharp corners, you can do a swivel to make it turn 90 degrees. Here is a link to some software you can use: donektools.com/free-cnc-router-software/

    • @ooznest
      @ooznest  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, this can cut foam board, but if you do not want to cut the whole through, and considering it is 5mm thick, you may be better off with an endmill? VCarve has a drag knife gadget.
