Stay after it! They denied me 5 times and on the 6th interview I got in. Getting that job catapulted my career and the creation of this channel! Always here if you have any questions
I plan to be an engineer for BNSF, and I still am making plans for what year I am going to take the course to become one, what are the requirements to work as a locomotive engineer or conductor for BNSF? If you can’t answer that’s fine, I hope you’re having an awesome day
Requirements for bnsf are the same as csx and norfolk southern as well as union pacific. The ability to pass the tests in ground school. Ability to work outside at any given time under any circumstance and in any and all weather. The ability to be on call 24 hours a day. In your case, you need to look for conductor openings. If you get hired on as a conductor, it can take 4-6 years typically for the promotion between conductor and engineer. Another thing to note is you cannot be hired at any railroad as an engineer. You have to have a certification/endorsement issued by the railroad to be an engineer. Any railroad will require that if you quit one of the railroads and join the other. Everything on the railroad is seniority based. Everything‼️‼️‼️
You ain’t wrong at all brother!! The railroad will REALLY put your significant other unconditional love for you to the test!! A railroader MUST have a significant other with a go-getter mentality and one that’s not selfish and is empathetic.
I gave my gf three outs before I came out here. Once when I got the call back from CSX to take the drug test and physical, she said she’s gonna stay. Twice when I got the results back and went down to school, she said she’ll stay. Third, when I passed school and started OJT, she said she’ll stay. I think it just comes down to the person you’re with and if they’re motivated in life that’s gonna be your best bet.
Just saw this Shawn, hopefully my CNC will be getting fired up soon. I’ll be honest it has been collecting dust this winter. But I have not forgotten about you. I still have your materials in my garage as we speak.

I believe that have resumed training but unfortunately it all depends on the demand at your terminal.. hopefully you get a start date soon. Hate to hear that man, i wish you the best.

But they were coming to repo my car and MC The second I yanked her ability to take the money, It all came out pretty quick. But I can’t emotionally keep staying here. I have 2 locations I’m waiting for the training to start for I gotta go

28 years, I kept my relationships, but we were never to sane to start with...so we will stick it out.

Will failing the pre employment drug test keep you from getting a job in the railroad in the future
And get to the DR. because this job will destroy you and you’ll want a paper trail when you’re ready to leave.
