If I’m gunna buy a Honda filter I’m definitely buying the one made in Japan
The Japan one made by Tennex Mahle is better than the Fram one, but essentially, they are very similar. spec by Honda, the 2 filters are similar in build and price less the shipping and import costs of the Japanese ones for us here in NA.
Both Honda ones work fine… I’d buy other filters for value and performance. Currently, I’m using Baldwin filters in both my Hondas and I’ll open them up when they need to be changed, cheers!
@@kidsfuturesareworthit.8673 yeah so I’m in the USA so prices for those filters is between 8-10 dollars so they are super cheap sometimes the ones made in Japan are a little more expensive but not much maybe like $1.00 or $1.50 more
Thank you for the review. Would you recommend purchasing the JDM version(15400-RTA-003), for my mother's 2020 Honda CR-V EX-L or just stay with the USDM version of the Honda oil filter?
@@strongislandautoenthusiast841 honestly, the 2 Honda filters are quite similar, and performance is probably the same.
I will recommend a 3000mile oil and filter change interval. This will be your best bet.
I have a 2022 Crv with the same turbo 1.5 and do the oil change every 3000miles/5000kms…
Full synthetic from Kirkland and I use Baldwin brand oil filter/ B1402 and seems be a good cost effective, good quality… especially because the oci is so often.
