    Holabird has the V3 on sale for $99 plus an extra 20% for 4th of July. At $79 it’s a must buy!

      Just bought the white NB Rebel V3 from Holabird at $79! Excited! Also purchased a pair of NB 1080V12 from Dicks Sporting Goods for $84. Looking for a good mix of a daily trainer and easy/recovery run shoes. My Nike Pegasus 38s have done well , but are a little narrow and aren't good for runs longer than 7-8mi.

    That is the thinnest tongue I've ever seen on a shoe.!😛😜🤪😝🤑 These are on my "must try" list since I live 20 minutes from the lawrence,MA NB factory/factory store. I've worn almost every Nb running shoe there is. Currently running in the 880V12 which if you dint' know has a dual layer of Fresh foam X and fuelcell.(A factory secret) Nb just called in a dual layer foam, but Nb reps confirm it's fuel cell in the fore foot and I find excellent toe off to go a laonf with the so so soft Fresh faom X. I have run 5k's in them, They are fantastic.!

    At my local running store, I was torn between the Rebel v3 & the Topo Cyclone 2. The only reason I went w Topo is because I already have the More v4, & I wanted to mix up the midsoles & stack heights in my rotation.

    • @SeeChadRun
      @SeeChadRun  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think mixing it up is good. How are you liking the cyclone?

      @Wings_nut ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @SeeChadRun Enjoying the Cyclone so far. They are light & and fast; so I use them for up-tempo workouts like hill repeats & speed intervals. My rotation includes the Boston shoes that get me to Boston (i.e., NB, Reebok, Saucony, Topo).

    At best, how many miles do you think the Rebel v3 can go? Can these compete with the Propel v4 as a workhorse type of trainer?

    • @SeeChadRun

      So far, I have 165 miles in my Rebel v3 shoes. The outsole is showing very little signs of wear, the midsole is still just as bouncy and lively as ever, and the upper is holding up very well. I find that I enjoy running in the Rebel v3 more than the Propel v4. For me, the Rebel is just a little more comfortable and simply more fun to run in. So yes, The Rebel v3 will compete with the Propel v4 as a workhorse trainer, especially if you like a shoe that is more neutral feeling. That said, I would caution using the Rebel v3 as your daily trainer unless you have strong feet. Hope this helps!

      @@SeeChadRun Do you think you could take the Rebel v3 to about 400-500 miles? I like my Propel v4 but I find the plate to be a little stiff so far 20-30 miles in.

      @hommefield9612 I don't see why not.

    Thanks for this Chad, would this work for a marathon distance for a (very average) runner who doesn't want too much "cushioning" and weighs about 61kg?

    • @SeeChadRun
      @SeeChadRun  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think this would be perfect, especially if you don't want to pay the cost or feel that you need a carbon fiber plated shoe. Just note that this is a very neutral shoe and if you're okay with that, I think it would be a fun and lively shoe to use for marathon training and the marathon race itself.

    Have a 10k race next month and need a new pair of faster shoes, but don't feel like forking out the high prices of the carbon plated shoes. Would you say this is one of the better non plated shoes for a 10k?

    • @SeeChadRun
      @SeeChadRun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I wouldn't hesitate to race a 5k, 10k, or half marathon in the Rebel v3!

    How is the sizing on these? Are they true to size

    • @SeeChadRun
      @SeeChadRun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! For me they ran true to size, but if you're between half sizes I recommend sizing up on these. Funny, I'm lacing up to go for a run in these shoes this very moment.
