Hey 2000s guy here I want to get into Gamma world edition, but I’m not really sure how to go about it. What kind of tools were using for character creation?
First - Love the Hat bro! Love the Reindeer concept...I like to do random mutations in character creation. I totally love "Gamma" games (Gamma World, Mutant Crawl Classics, Gamma K, Masters of Umdaar, etc.) I find these games very immersive and usually a bit gonzo, but hey everyone plays a little different. I'm just going to say it, I prefer the 4th edition of GW rather than 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. 6th Edition is a little too...limiting? 5th edition had me going back and forth through too many books...ugh! Good stuff man, keep it up. Note: Background music is distracting me, could you drop it a notch in future videos? or not, just a suggestion.

I'm not a Gamma World expert but I'm curious and I wish you adviced what would be the best edition to get into it, plus...what's your go-to one? (I'm loving your channel!)
Thank you so much. If I have exposed someone to an alternative to want to try an alternative genre RPG, my work is done. 🙂 Which edition, huh? Though both of them are worlds apart - 3rd edition being a monster all by itself - I'd have to say 3rd or 2nd edition, primarily because I like classless systems and 4th editions brings back classes. This is subjective of course so your mileage may vary. However, IF you go with 3rd edition, make sure to watch my video talking about it so you're not shocked when you get it. 😋 Happy gaming!
@@RPGElite In the meanwhile I made my exploration and, yes, 2nd edition's got my attention, totally! 4th is probably even more accessible with its bonuses to hit and ascending AC, but 2nd is tight and efficient with only 6 abilities, less derivative ones and being classless (even if the abilities check in the vein of Chaosium BRP is weird: statisticswise it equals the traditional roll-under ability score, why having that d100 vs ability X 5 extra-complication?). Plus, the WC system has its charme. I watched your video on 3rd indeed, but...yeah...you know, that 70% of missing...I found what I was searching for in 4th and 2nd. Honestly, compared to 2nd, I like more the mutations from the 4th, but if I'm not wrong I heard you saying that in 1st there are only descriptions of them, without parameters and stuff, and I think I'm going to put my eyes on first as well. Anyway, GW is a pearl! I love the concept! TSR experimented with it a lot, much more than with D&D, and it got to the point of an almost perfect system rather before, imho.
Is there a way to share game worlds in Foundry VTT? The reason that I am asking is that I would like to have someone look at how I am setting up some of my FVTT worlds and give me some advice on how they set theirs up. For instance, this is how I am setting up my Gamma World 4E Compendium. Thanks

So I see you use Foundry VTT. Do they include Gamma World templates or did you make your own. If so, can you post those somewhere for folks to use?

I haven't played Gamma World since 1st ed. I loved that game, I'm glad to see you covering it!
