I start every Gamma World campaign with Famine in Far-Go. I've run it in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Edition, and I'll probably convert it for Mutant Crawl Classics next. I love your Gamma World videos! The Great Oad is Highway 29, which crosses the 94 and the 10 in Fargo, North Dakota. In the module, I-94 continues northeast until it hits I-10. In reality, I-94 turns and runs parallel to the 10 through Fargo. Look at a map of Fargo on Google Maps and find where the 29 (the Great Oad) and the 10 meet, and you should be able to make out the rest.
Badders rock for an entry level NPC. Years ago we played a home brew where the Players explored an old amusement park. Two PC's were playing the Gopher Bop game when 30 Badders showed up to ask why they were hitting the Alter of the Devine Ones. Needless to say, it was an interesting situation to get out of, especially when I did the voices for the Badders, making them so cute one player had trouble attacking them.

The articles about city adventures, cults and secret societies, monsters and mutations. It'd be great to hear your thoughts on that stuff. Hope the real life situations improve soon.
Oh, yeah. I actually played through this module. I forget my mutations. I just recall I was not human. Had completely forgotten about it until watching this.
This was the 2nd gamma world module I bought and the way the players started out was what I used for all my campaigns after it came out and I even use it to this day . I liked the idea that the players knew each other and were part of the same community making it easy to come up with character backgrounds . I added occupations and skills to my gamma world game and when 3rd edition came out I used the action table for skill and ability checks in my hybrid 1st/2nd edition gamma world game . Gamma World rpg is one of my favorite post apocalyptic rpg's . I have all versions execpt the alternity version and the wizards of the Coast crappy version that wasn't gamma world at all to me
I still own my copy of this classic. I would like to see you cover the Albuquerque Starport which came with the first Edition GM Screen. That was a third piece of support material for GW1E.
Great module that I sadly never got to run. And the Great Oad is Hwy 29, I made that drive between Grand Forks and Fargo many times. I never encountered any mutants or robots, though. :-)

there are supposedly clues about the nature of the berries, but it is unclear (or it just went over my head) ... need to reread this now
