Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
The FDA reclassified the number of amino acids for something to be a 'biologic', which TB4 fell into that category. This is also why hCG cannot be made in a compounding pharmacy anymore

We haven't seen any cases of shingles coming out with using legit oral or legit compounded injectable. Gonna guess that those you heard about used research chemical peptides, which are laden with endotoxins which stimulate the immune system in a negative way and can worsen old infections

Yes, I was curious about this as well. My father recently had a stroke, and I was looking into bpc 157 for stroke recovery. While reading about bpc 157 and learning about what it can do to the nervous system, I thought about my Mom that had a shingles outbreak a few years back, but every once in a while she feels "nerve pain" on her face/forehead where her last shingles rash was. I thought about the bpc 157 to potentially help heal her nerves, and that lead me to a reddit page(r/shingles, if I remember right) where someone posted everything they were taking as something had just triggered a shingles outbreak. Looking at their supplement list another redditor made the connection of bpc 157 and shingles. They said that they had an outbreak about a week after starting the bpc 157. Then the original poster said that their outbreak started about a week after starting bpc 157 too. Then another person replied saying the same thing happened to them. I believe it was around 4 or 5 people that ended up responding saying the same thing happened to them, and that was in just 1 reddit thread. I was curious on what may be causing this, but I just read the doctors latest response, so I guess there is no mechanism of action of the bpc 157 on the immune system that would cause an outbreak thats been identified yet???
Also, considering that bpc 157 induces the release of serotonin in specific areas of the brain and influences serotonergic and dopaminergic systems, is it safe to take bpc 157 and methylene blue at the same time? I dont mean dosing together, but just to take on the same day. I want my Dad to take everything he can to aid in his recovery. Sorry this is so long. Thank you for any info you can provide.

@@badbaddolemike yeah we must have been on the exact same post. It's tough because it's like these are just a few stories, but to be fair most of the evidence around BPC 157 is anecdotal anyway. Shingles recurrence usually happens in people with suppressed immune systems so I'm wondering if BPC has any mechanism that does that. I can't really find anything

Im male with chronic inflammation (post Covid/Lyme) 5 years of pelvic floor dysfunction. And now 2 years of pudendal neuralgia. Extreme testicular pain and groin numbness. Doctors have told me theres nothing to do now but burn my nerves so I at least wont be in pain. Im 27, this seems way too permanant for my age.

On BPC for joint repair from infiniwell, do you recommend the rapid or original? Wasn't sure if the added SNAC compound was necessary or wanted. Also, would you recommend tablets or capsules? Thanks

    • @DrewTimmermansND
      @DrewTimmermansND  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

There are three options for BPC-157, the Rapid, the Delayed, and the Original Formula. Currently, I'm not sure if any of them work that much better as long as you're getting the arginate salt (which the InfiniWell brand uses) and you're taking 500mcg once per day. There is a small study that InfiniWell did on chronic pain using the Delayed Pro 500mcg twice per day on an empty stomach and it performed very well (basically what I would see when we used the Original Formula). So I don't know how much the difference in the forms really matters.
We only use the capsules, so I can't comment on efficacy of the tablets. Again, not sure it matters

Does bpc 157 heal musculoskeletal injuries better when you’re fasting? When you’re eating a lot of food you tend to build some inflammation in the gut because it’s working hard, and when you take bpc it might target healing the gut when you intentional did it to heal the musculoskeletal injury, so when in a faster state where your gut takes a break it targets the musculoskeletal injury better. Just curious if that’s a thing.

Took the first 30 pills every other day per Huberman.

This kick started what felt like a normal healing progression as opposed to lagging healing (possibly overwhelmed).

Any time we have had patients with a bone fracture, we use many different supplements and peptides, not just a single one like BPC-157.
Here is a protocol that we used on a patient who had a metacarpal fracture: 1drv.ms/b/s!AgzRxlIX-4ydgrxil6CSaopQiOB52A?e=w9Ecal
Each patient protocol is unique, but this was hers.
This protocol resulted in her orthopedic surgeon being shocked at how quickly she was healing, to the point that the surgeon had to double check the dates of the xrays because he didn't believe it!

I was told I'd have to live with plantar fasciitis, my job involves walking. About two weeks 5mg BPC-157/TB-500 it seems to have gone away. Makes me wonder what it would do for an inflammatory disease like asthma?

      LOVE hearing this!
Unfortunately I only work with MSK issues, so I have no experience using it in asthma or other lung conditions. However, just because it reduces inflammation in connective tissues like the plantar fascia doesn't mean it works on all tissues that are inflamed.

Did you use injection subcutaneous on belly fat to help treat the plantar fascitiis? What was your dosage ? I have it for one year, don't know what to do to get rid of it and received bpc157 yesterday - but I have no tb500

Oral BPC-157 arginate salt works just as good as the injectable in most people. We use the BPC-157 capsules from InfiniWell as they use the arginate salt. To help out, we have a 20% patient discount code on our website regenerativeperformance.com/supplements (code is RP20). Once on that website, click the InfiniWell link, and then choose the product labeled 'BPC-157 Original 250mcg'. This is the version that does not have SNAC, which we find works better.
As for the other products, the GHK-Cu comes in a topical for skin (also on the InfiniWell site), which does have some systemic absorption, it's just not as much as the injectable. I haven't seen enough research yet for the absorption of TB4 frag, so we don't really recommend it. Then for GH secretagogues, you're really only left with MK-677 which is orally bioavailable.

What do you mean TB4 is no longer available? I just got some BPC-157/TB4 mix just a few weeks ago.

TB4 is no longer available through compounding pharmacies, which is the only place we recommend to get injectables. Injectable peptides from research chemical websites (where you buy on your own from a website) are notoriously contaminated with LPS, a bacterial endotoxin, which can cause really bad side effects.

The suppression of natural GH production can lead to several consequences:
    1. Dependence on exogenous GH: The body may become reliant on external sources of GH to maintain normal physiological functions.
    2. Altered GH pulsatility: Natural GH secretion occurs in pulses, which may be disrupted by continuous exogenous GH administration.
    3. Potential long-term effects: Prolonged suppression of endogenous GH production may lead to atrophy of the pituitary gland’s GH-producing cells.
    4. Metabolic changes: Altered GH levels can affect metabolism, potentially leading to changes in body composition, insulin sensitivity, and lipid profiles.
    5. Risk of side effects: Exogenous GH administration can cause side effects such as fluid retention, joint pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
    6. Potential for abuse: In non-medical settings, the use of GH as a performance-enhancing drug can lead to health risks and ethical concerns

All correct. This is why we don't use GH, but rather GH secretagogues which stimulate the release of your own GH and do not suppress natural GH production

  • @loopba

really unnecessary to dose twice daily. Especially GH secretagogues. Sounds like a non-science based upsell

Actually, if you look at the slide in my lecture in this timestamp (th-cam.com/video/Bo0LNCr9BiU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AVE5I__eOliULGZl&t=1877), you will see the pulsatile secretion of GH after GH secretagogues is gone by about 2.5 hours. So if one wanted a second large pulse of GH, they could dose it a second time.
And clinically, with something like BPC-157 we have had some patients who respond better to dosing twice per day (as opposed to the same dose once per day), and we've even had patients who benefited from dosing Tb4 multiple times per day as they got an acute pain reduction following dosing.
Peptides are cleared from the body extremely quickly, so in some instances multiple doses may be advantageous.
