His stamina, strength, almost super-human nuanced moves, dances, spins, behind-the-back and across the court laser-led passes, rebounds from amazing angles--with dazzling and surprising quickness, finesse and agility could ONLY come from a GREAT athlete. JJ is a pure genius who understands the game.
We all needed this story about casuals whose misunderstanding of basketball game essentials are simply ruining the essence of the game, which is: mind over body. Over pas decades there were many extremely athletic guys, and yet they did nothing. None of them turned into new Wilt, Jordan,Bill Russell, Kobe etc.
If you can remember - it was Kobe first that gave his challenge toJokić to win the MVP, and Kobe knew the essence of the game.

He has that lebron level team chemistry while being the complete opposite of lebron personality wise. That’s probably why he gets disrespected, he’s not a vocal bucket getter and seems like he couldn’t care less about being a star for the fame. I’ve only seen him interviewed like once or twice… HES A TWO TIME MVP BY THE WAY. B) He's averaging a triple-double - without EVER playing for his own stats. That point alone is insanely difficult. C) He's CLEARLY leaving guys who got MVP-worthy seasons in the dust.
It's sooo obvious that Jokic has got the best shot selection in the league which leads to crazy efficiency and it's also obvious that nobody matches him at making the right play as often as possible - which leads to crazy team efficiency and a dominant offense. On/off rating, highest value for the team, no allstars around him - my condolences to Joel Embiid, Giannis and others but at this point, there's no debate to be had, none.

Great point about how almost every other MVP contender is playing with other all-stars. Or just better all-around teams. It also reminds me of how many people did not understand Tim Duncan's greatness (including myself at the time, when I was younger). Greatness is not always flashy or apparent to the least informed :)

Jokic backcourt rotation last 2 years :
    2020/2021:
    Starters:
Campazzo ( plays in Europe, couldnt get minutes for the Mavs)
Rivers ( Timberwolves now, 20 minutes per game)
    Bench:
Monte Morris ( Wizards now, starter.. quite decent offensively/ absolutely horrific defender/to small)
Markus Howard ( in Europe/ even smaller)
Shaq Harrison ( doesnt even play anymore/ nobody wants him)
Will Barton ( played two games in 2nd round/ traded to Wizards-DnP‘s/Coaches decision/ got waived)
    2021/22:
    Starters:
    Barton
    Morris
    Bench:
    Hyland ( got traded to Clippers/ DnP‘s)
    Rivers
    Campazzo
Forbes ( nuggs didnt offer new contract/ got picked up by Wolves/ already waived)
    Frontcourt:
MPJ injured in Suns series 2020/2021 (by the way the Nuggets were the only team from the final 4 teams of the bubble, which reached the 2nd round the year after the bubble)
Didnt play at all in 2021/22 playoffs
Jeff green starter in 2021/22 playoffs.. is getting DnP‘s currently and is not in the rotation
Jokic never had an Allstar teammate ( besides Millsap who was way past his prime and was not an allstar while he played in Denver)
Jokic deserved to win the last two MVP‘s, especially the won where Giannis could have won his third in a row, because Jokic had a better record/ better numbers/ played 11 more games and so on
The reason why voter fatigue is and should not be high with Jokic is because it was clear during his last two MVP seasons that he had no shot of doing anything in the playoffs.. the teams were bad (I mean look at the players from above )
And the media members who vote knew from the beginng that even if they give Jokic their vote, they cant hold the lack of playoff success during this seasons against him because it was impossible to be good with these players ( he lost to the champions last year and the finalists the year before)
    This year:
    Best record in the West
First real chance to go to the Finals ( if players healthy)
    25/12/10 on 63/40/82 shooting splits
First player ever to average a triple double while shooting above 50%
Highest apg ever by a center
Most efficient above 20ppg scoring season in NBA history ( 70%TS)
First player ever who reached those shooting splits
Third player ever to shoot above 60% from the field and above 80% from FT-line
Just once this season he shot under 50%
By far highest net rating swing in the NBA
    Highest +/- in the NBA
23-0 when he records a triple double

“if you could play with any current NBA player,
    who would it be?”
Without hesitation these past couple years I always say Joker.
You know how fun it would be to play with someone like that?
How many dope looks you’d get at the basket?
He’s the most unselfish superstar in the NBA and hoopers deep down wanna be around that energy.
We all want to feel like we are contributing to the Team in someway, somehow.
We want to feel apart of. We want to feel connected towards the goal
Nobody does that from a Leadership Perspective in the NBA more than Nikola Jokic.

DeAndre Jordan has the best lifetime field goal percentage at 67%. But Jordan hits layups and dunks -- he seldom works for his points like Jokic and he's never double teamed. His scoring average is only 9 points career, and he's never asked to take the last shot.
Jokic's shooting percentage for a man who draws tough coverage and carries his team's scoring load is astounding. And he gets all those rebounds and assists to boot.
