Hey JJ, for real please get an intern to find and add more clips of the situations you two are speaking of. And a coaches whiteboard. 👍🏼👍🏼
hey JJ can you tell Lebron he was great in Trainwreck
No history revisionism today about how LeBron didnt had enough help? LAME.

It cracks me up whenever Bron repeats the words of his interlocutors. "Yea court mapping", "Yea two-man", "Yea go to the right corner" in the span of like 10 seconds 🤣
@@zalemdreamsI hear you. At the same time I chalk it up to two people knowing a ton of technical details about something they're very passionate about.
Get two music nerds/rockers together talking shop and they'll fall all over themselves discussing gear and music theory.
@@saysirregardlessonpurpose I didn't mean it as a negative comment. Bron just does this a lot and I find it to be a funny idiosyncracy.

It was all like that. He was kinda like a teacher making sure the loud student have the stage for a bit
This podcast shows me how little Skip Bayless, Stephen A, and any other “sports analyst/broadcaster” knows about basketball, THIS is true basketball knowledge and dialogue
Yeah, they appeal to the casual fan who is more interested in trivial things like the goat debate. It’s meant more for entertainment and drama if anything.
Their job is entertainment. Sports takery is a different thing than analysis or education.
This podcast is corny af and it’s Lebron trying to change the narrative
this podcast is a way to make excuses and an escape from his weaknesses
For most people basket ball is escapism and knowing a few guy s on the court and talking about the game the day after at work. LeBron and JJ’s discussion here is something else. As a nerd I like it though.
we need a whole episode on Jokic and Denver

Why you watching lebron james stuff if you dont understand ball then lol?

@Nettamorphosis fair enough! Good to see chics getting involved and learning!

I fucking love this. I'm not a basketball pro or anything, but hearing actual players breakdown and speak their language so fluently is refreshing.
I really appreciate that they just talk game and don’t let it get too topical. These videos will hold up for years.
Like when they rewrite the narrative that Lebron didn’t have enough help in miami?

Well it's a narrative - you just said it. Narratives aren't real, that's why they are "narratives".
Which is why LeBron and JJ can explain why OTHER narratives may be false.
I'll trust the REAL NBA players over some teenagers on social media who have a biased opinion.

Old heads crumbling to dust cuz JJ and LeBron aren't spending 57 minutes talking about killer instinct
Facts hahaha
LMAOOOO!!
DEFENSE WAS BETTER BACK THEN
i'm 100% an old head, but love how intelligent the game has become. bball IQ & athleticism is off the charts. In 30 years a new generation will be here, that will make the current players look like the 90s do now, just like in the 90s, the 60s/70s looked weak. It's the cycle of evolution.
Kids now days could smoke me with their footwork drills, we never did any of that crap, we just played, set screens and ran the plays. When you see a great athlete play, you can practice their moves. Kids now days will be practicing Joker, KD, Curry, Luka, etc., moves. No doubt about it current vs 90s straight up who would win. Same in football, soccer, or any sport.
@@misterstaple is it really defense or hurting people I think that's two different thing hahahaha
This kind of show should have been done years ago. So descriptive and two intelligent individuals sharing the knowledge. The drawing make a lot of sense. Great work, Gentlemen. 🏀👋👏
Were you watching a different podcast of different men?
Because I'm watching a midlevel backwards hat wearing journeyman player pontificate to a steroid-ridden, illiterate narcissist on why they're so great while they drink wine together like two 40 year old white women.
ESPN had a show called Detail but it wasn’t in this format
Man this is such a blessing to have high level basketball conversations like this
SAS disagrees.
W for putting up videos along with the narrations. Something most podcasts failed to provide. Adding legitimacy to the stories.
Tipsy JJ and LBJ having the nerdiest, heaviest conversation about Xs and Ox is everything good about basketball. 🤣🤣🤣🤩 Keep up the great work, y'all.
Everyone saying they didn’t mention the Gortat Screen is correct. However, if you go to the full episode, in the description there is a chapter list with one titled ‘Gortat Screen’. In that one they do speak about it.
Not sure why they used a different clip and titled it that for this tho.

The intern or Jason messed up
TH-cam is about transparency so here we are. We uploaded several breakouts at once and this one simply got mislabeled lol. We've since corrected it and will publish the Gortat screen vid later this weekend. Appreciate you watching and calling it out nicely.
@@ryankayombya7576it was jason. there is no intern lol
I really like those written explanations, makes us understand better what they are talking about.
I like the explanations in the left bottom corner. Very good job, guys.
Not only the back-and-forth, but putting in the video clips and those BEAUTIFUL definitions of "industry terms" is the chef's kiss! For me, you're hitting the sweet spot for "casual fans" that would like to know more "Xs and Os" basketball.
Gortat on HOF trajectory as contributor to the game
Bruh
Bout time the polish hammer gets his flowers
I realise why Rui doesn’t get a lot mins, his X and Os aren’t there yet, still a way to go. Just yesterday in that last couple of plays down the stretch against the Pels, when Lakers came out the timeout Rui almost fked the play up by not getting to his position early, Bron was literally screaming and clapping for Rui to get to his spot, eventually which he did. Shows how important game IQ is, I mean they are coming out the time out too so Rui just had to remember the play and move to his position.
Right? And most of us complaining “let him play” lol we had no idea all along.
@@voodoodiecast I was one of those dudes the deeper the season went the more I saw that! But that’ll come with experience for sure (with a Bron team you usually don’t have that luxury)

Technical and Exquisite way of discussing Big plays in the NBA
Pattern recognition. One of the most important and undervalued traits in all of sports. In any endevour that is considered a game, pattern recognition is very important. That coupled with anticipation makes things a lot easier in any "game".

The best shooters such as Ray Allen are lethal because they know how to move away from the ball to create catch and shoot opportunities. 🔥🔥🔥

Have Bron comment on how Deli tracked down Steph back in the Cav series, please!
I would so much love to have Kobe sitting at that table with Bron and JJ. ❤ Another Basketball Yoda at the table is never too much
this is such a cool podcast they need to feature other nba players too to get their insight on certain plays and how they play
Great podcast thank you
Damn what a breakdown on the jokic lob. Lebron made the right read! rui had to commit earlier so lebron tags Gordon but that leaves porter 3 open/joker iso on reaves so its 3 excellent looks for Denver
Their mistake is something Bron talked about in one of their last podcasts: they switch to much. You can't switch reeves onto joker. You just can't.....
Remember that Jordan documentary where Dennis and Jordan are taking about defense and Jordan says"switch in that situation".… I'm getting those vibes
podcast is golden
Continues to be good shit. THe movement and angles of ball is the best part of the game and most don't/can't play at that level.
We need to give JJ an electronic white board or a sum like that so we can see wtf he be drawing lmfaooo. Maybe a little upgrade for season 2 lmfaooo.
Fax. Wouldn’t mind some guest appearances too. CP3, Rondo, Curry, Magic even. This could be a *GOLD MINE* for hoopers who’re both fans of the game and trying to improve themselves.
This show about to pop off now that LeBron has so much free time
It's amazing that no sports podcast has ever thought of having this type of open format. It's basically almost just the Joe Rogan experience for sports. I just found this channel yesterday and it's a gem. You can tell it will end up being very successful.
I really like how they break stuff down. Wish there was a NFL version of this
I feel like yall put the wrong title on this clip, they did talk about the Gortat Screen in the episode but this aint it lol

I’m kind of new to basketball. I’ve always enjoyed playing it when I was younger but never got really into it. After spending some time watching channels like this, it’s fascinating to me that basically a chess match that involves physical skill is happening live. How about you apply for a position on the podcast to do the visual animation and STOP complaining.

Luv this side of Bron. LeCoach is my favorite Lebron. LeFlop is the worst Lebron while LeMovetoanotherteam is 2nd. LeCry is 3rd. Still a bron fan
lol, what’s so crazy is after seeing the gortat screen, in Wemby’s last game against the grizzlies, this “unstoppable cheat code” move was actually guarded by Wemby. He was sealed by Jemison and as Scottie Pippen Jr went up for a layout, Wemby jumped and reached over jemison for the block on Scottie Pippen Jr. So there goes Wemby doing the “impossible.”
-Edit- There is no gortat screen mentioned at all in this clip though lol
Wemby aka 1 of 1
Get off wemby 🍆
Question tho.. is wemby already a better defender than AD?? Cuz pretty much after his first few months he’s been acknowledged as the best defender in the league and I see he will probably lead the league in blocks for many years and he is aware on defense and makes good effort but how good yall think he is on D?
Cuz I feel like AD still better on defense just with his IQ and then he’s more sturdy and powerful then wemby possibly a better athlete
Lol
I actually appreciate the heck out of this .
I hope they both go into coaching and Im not a LeBron fan but these guys have brilliant minds
Is it just me or did they not say anything about the gortat screen?
The intern probably got the wrong clip or titled it wrong but they did mention the Gortat screen in the full episode.

JJ when you notice that Bron wants to add to your thoughts or go off on his own tangent, let him. You seem to be very eager to get your words through and it leads to Bron just saying yeah yep yeah. It’s lebron James in front of you. We want to learn from what he has to say as well. 😊
