Pulley anchoring system off a beach explained

  • How to use my simple off the beach anchor pulley system. This works a treat at places like Wathumba Creek, Fraser Island for example, where you have 3 to 4 metre tides, lots of current and can get tired of adjusting your anchors every time you want to go ashore or get back onboard. Using my existing 100 metres of rode, this system helps avoids the risk of dragging anchors, your boat being grounded on a falling tide, or having to swim for her on a rising tide! The only word of caution is the risk of other boats running over your longer than usual anchor rodes. (A few floats might help here!) I hope watching this helps - sure works well for me! Cheers

    That would be good for anchoring near any of the drop offs near Cowan Cowan to Bulwer 👍
