Gnocchi that has been baked as part of a sheetpan dinner is amazing. Some cubed up butternut squash, red onion wedges, broccoli and the gnocchi (no boiling needed) drizzled with a few tbsp of melted butter mixed with sage, salt and pepper. Roasted together for about 35 minutes at 425 and the gnocchi is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Add some diced chicken or kielbasa and it's a complete meal.

🥥 There is a Hawaiian pudding that is really tasty and easy to make…well, relatively easy. I’m still working on getting it perfect. It’s called Haupia and it can be made into squares. I like it soft like pudding. It’s cornstarch, sugar, and coconut milk. FULL FAT coconut milk. Maybe a little salt. Anyhow it is amazing and a total comfort food.
The Fudge Mint cookies are so good and they are made by the same exact bakery that supplies Girl Scout cookies so they are literally the same! They are a great deal and I always recommend them!
I love gnocchi! My favorite way to eat them is if you cook a braised beef (stew beef or oxtail) with onion, tomatoes, garlic, peppers, seasonings and slow cook them until it’s falling apart and has its own gravy - pan fry the gnocchi - put the meat and gravy on top of them and top with grated parm cheese and I swear it’s the best!
Our kiddos love “pizza gnocchi” casserole with gnocchi, marinara, Italian sausage and mozzarella cheese! The potato flavor melts away and just tates like taking a bite of pizza! 🍕
I recently started working at a dollar tree in TN because things are really getting hard. I watch your food and DT videos to give me ideas and what to look for. I am trying to stretch my 20.00 food assistance card as far as it will go. Maybe you could throw in a "what to buy at DT for 20.00 a month to go as far as possible" lol
What I would do is buy rice and eggs to make a fried rice. You can purchase the pancake mix and syrup for breakfast, bread pb and j is good for sandwiches, those frozen veggies with a little oil and seasoning is a good side and I honestly think geting those 5lb bags of chicken quarters at Walmart or your local grocery store is best.
I love butter, cinnamon and sugar on potato gnocchi. We treat it as a dessert here. Boil until it rises to the top, remove with slotted spoon, toss with butter, cinnamon and sugar. Delicious!
As soon as I brought home the coconut rolls, I melted some dark chocolate chips with a little coconut oil and covered the coconut rolls!!!!! And let them set up!!!! And DELICIOUS!!!!

My Dollar Tree gets bread and bakery delivery on Wed & Sat each week. Brands like Sara Lee, Entemann’s, Ball Park Buns, Thomas English Muffins, etc. All of them are a great bargain at $1.25. It gets picked over and sold out within a day, so you usually have to go on those days.
I've been freezing tortillas (all kinds) FOREVER!!! However, (when frozen)they stick together and sometimes they break when you try to pull them apart, so, I got the bright idea of putting wax paper or parchment paper between each tortilla then stuffing them back into the bag before freezing and VOILA, no more broken torts!! Easy to get 1 or more and no waste 👏
Fun fact about the Pennysticks pretzels. My husband and I went into a store in Pennsylvania where they were being sold as a luxury brand for over $6 a bag! Same size bags as good 'ol Dollar Tree.

Sausage cream soup with the gnocchi. Lots of spices. Onion powder garlic powder salt ground oregano. Oregano. Crushed rose mary. Crush thyme. Shredded carrots. Sliced potatoes fresh spinach chicken broth or water and chicken bouillon. At the end add cream.

This was such a timely video. I've been doing a lot of grocery shopping at Aldi and Dollar Tree lately (Aldi for grocery groceries and Dollar Tree for snacks) and it's great to know which products are worth the $1.25, especially the ones that are shelf stable. The milk in a box is a great find!
Definitely gonna have to check out the food at my local Dollar Trees! This may be a little off topic, but these days when things are so expensive, the tips below might help in addition to shopping at Dollar Tree for food and other items. Some Tips for 1-2 person households (or more).... I'm single/empty-nester so these work great for me. I buy 2-3 loaves of bread at one time and freeze all but one. Thaw in fridge. I do the same with Texas Toast (1 loaf) for when I get a hankering for French Toast or Breakfast Toasters ( like at Sonic, but better cuz, well, it's homemade lol When you buy hamburger or hot dog buns, take them out of the bag and put in freezer bags. I put 2 hot dog buns in one quart size bag and 1 burger bun in quart bag. Thaw in fridge. I'm in Texas so I buy the HEB Thick n Juicy frozen burger patties ( a little pricey but worth it). They don't take long to thaw so it should be ready when it's time to eat. If I only want one hot dog, leave the other in the bag and leave on counter or in pantry. Freezing them this way keeps them from spoiling and growing mold. Great for older kids when they get home from school as a snack (the hot dog) and babysitters, too, if they are going to be doing dinner for the kiddos. You can do this with tortillas, too, but I would advise taking them out of the bags and putting a piece of wax paper in between each one to make it easier to get the number out that you want. I would transfer them to a freezer bag or put back in original bag but put that in freezer bag if you want. I basically do the same with pork chops, steaks, chicken breasts. 1-2 pieces of meat (depending on size). After shopping I put them in the fridge until ready to put them in quart freezer bags. Be sure to label your bags with date bought & item(s) in the bag before you put the meat in; markers don't work well on bags with cold meat in them lol You can also season each bag of meat if desired before freezing. To thaw these meats, I get a big bowl, put the bag/s in and place a smaller heavy bowl on top and fill big bowl with water. Put in fridge. I haven't timed them, but I guarantee they thaw a LOT faster than just putting them in the fridge as is, especially pork chops and steaks. Chicken and the rolled ground beef take longer but should still be done the same day. I would put those 2 in fridge in the morning so they should be done by dinner time. I cook my chicken in my cock pot so I don't mind if they are still a Little frozen in the middle. TIP: If cooking chicken this way, season them then add some water around them then cook. I have found this helps them to moist and not so dried out. Personally I shred them immediately when I take them out of the crock pot and either use it all in a recipe OR store it in a Pyrex container. I love shredded bbq chicken sandwiches so when I want one, just take out the portion you want, mix with bbq sauce, heat it up and put it on your bun/bread! Great sandwich done in just a couple of minutes! I hope these help someone! Have a great day!
@@DaniElle-di4ho I have found that putting the frozen meat in water then in the fridge makes it thaw much faster. For years I did it the way you suggested and it took way too long. I'm single and sometimes I decide on the fly what I want that night for dinner, or have unexpected guests (namely daughter and son-in-law) and need something quick. Good idea, though, for more planned meals 👍🙂

I was never a fan of gnocchi until my mom showed me- after you “ cook” it, add a quarter or half jar of pesto, half a bag of baby spinach, stir. Sprinkle a tad of parmesan cheese over it and voilà! It is so amazing and delicious and now I truly love gnocchi made this way. :) CHEAP TOO. You can often get pesto on discount so I wait til I find deals then stock up.
My favorite Dollar Tree food items are: minced garlic, garlic Texas toast, basil pesto, Jennifer's Garden spring rolls, Lil Dutch maid lemon crème cookies and Fun Dip candy. I've heard that the frozen peppers and onions is really good. I plan to try that soon.
I made an amazing huge batch of marinara with a bag of those frozen peppers and onions, 5 sad roma tomatoes in pressure cooker. it was so good We had it once without even adding seasonings then turned the remainder into two italian and one mexican themed dinner
@@janeadams5207 I stock up on them so anytime I need peppers and onions they're available. I have to admit that I use the frozen more than fresh. Can't beat convenience! I don't let them thaw out before sautéing. I don't like the water added. But if added to the pan frozen, it seems to evaporate before changing the texture of them. I do toss any big chunks of ice. I've found that a couple of times only. I buy the sticks of butter, onion and garlic powder, jars of garlic, and sazon seasoning and bouillon. Do NOT buy the bouillon in the jars! It is straight up salt!I have a problem getting dehydrated, so I do buy water with electrolytes there. They even have Core.
I always buy the cut broccoli at our Dollar Tree when I can find it. It only takes one pouch of Velvetta cheese sauce for two bags and it is delicious!
I prefer my gnocchi fried in butter with salt and pepper and then when it's browned, you know like potato pancake brown, add it to the top sauces on grilled veggies. Columbia Pasta's are so great, stock up when you find them! they store well in a air tight bucket in the pantry.
Cans of black olives, frozen blueberries, and strawberries for smoothies and making faux açaì bowls ( minus the açaí lol), frozen Jamaican meat pies, kettle style potato chips, and dried beans! You can get healthy food from the $tree if you try 👍🏼
My great find at the Dollar Tree- food grade plastic containers that come with the twist on lid. Comes in 2 qt and 3qt. I have started storing some of my beans, rice and pastas.. the rest are going into 5 gallon pickle buckets. Firehouse subs sells the containers with lids for $3. I bought a set of 6 real Gamma lids off of Amazon- $70.

It is so amazing and delicious and now I truly love gnocchi made this way. :) CHEAP TOO. You can often get pesto on discount so I wait til I find deals then stock up.
I love adding steamed broccoli and Velveeta cheese sauce to ours.
I'm not a fan, no matter where they come from. Sits in my stomach like a lead balloon, and nothing bothers my stomach.
@@nancyshrout-wankowski7147 it IS heavy! Lol
I go with frozen peas and canned chicken instead of spinach,it's a complete meal....
my husband loves it. I also have made the copy of olive gardens chicken gnocchi soup. it's delicious
Pan fried gnocchi with sage. Yes please!
@@janeadams5207 outstanding!
Love those spring rolls!
Thank-you for all these videos. You are funny and Thank-you for making me laugh. Your family is Great helping out on videos.
your makeup is on point. you look amazing. best look for you all over is this one. ❤
I love to bake/broil or grill root veggies and gnocchi on a sheet pan with some spices
I always buy the cut broccoli at our Dollar Tree when I can find it. It only takes one pouch of Velvetta cheese sauce for two bags and it is delicious!
Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix. you only add water and oil they're awesome
I like to cut the Dollar Tree gnocchi into quarters and use them in dumplings in Italian style tomato and veggie soups
I prefer my gnocchi fried in butter with salt and pepper and then when it's browned, you know like potato pancake brown, add it to the top sauces on grilled veggies. Columbia Pasta's are so great, stock up when you find them! they store well in a air tight bucket in the pantry.
Your hair looks amazing in this video! Appreciate all the tips!
Cans of black olives, frozen blueberries, and strawberries for smoothies and making faux açaì bowls ( minus the açaí lol), frozen Jamaican meat pies, kettle style potato chips, and dried beans! You can get healthy food from the $tree if you try 👍🏼
Your son’s expressions are so fun. All of your kids have so much personality. Thanks for sharing your info and your sweet family. Happy 4th to y’all!
I agree, those cookies are amazing frozen. My son’s that age too, we like those pretzels too. Still a great deal @ $1.25
How do you like the Gamma lids? Been thinking about it, Kristy in Missouri 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Harry and David? That's a name brand.
The coconut rolls we buy a bunch at a time.
The garlic Texas toast & the single pork egg rolls 😋
Very impressive presentation, it shocked me with the quality and price of stuff. Thanks!
The Mint Chocolate Cookies r soooo good. I like to put in freezer and eat them cold. They r NOT frozen just cold. Love!! 😋 Thanks for the tip on "Kind" brand ice cream and fruit bars. I found protein bars at a discount store for $1.99 and I will ck my dollar store for the ice cream. Thanks! 😋🍨
We recently bought a food sealer. It’s been disheartening throwing out food with freezer burn. I’m excited about the sealer adding additional time to use the food. We just inventoried the freezer and pantry. We are trying to stay on top of things so as not to be wasteful. Love your videos! God Bless You!
I could be wrong, so please check, but,
Freezer burn does not render food inedible . You might be able to use your food.
The raspberry and grapefruit Evians are delicious mixers!
I use Gnocchi's to make chicken and dumplings and also put them in tomatoe based soups and stews. The kids love them that way.
