- Series 28 saw some rather rapid machinery piloted by one Mr Chris Harris. We had the bonkers VW I.D. R which accelerates faster than an F1 car, through to a £72k hot hatch in the shape of the Renault Megane RS Trophy-R. Here's some of our favourite moments. Which was yours?

@jon doe professional racing is mostly about getting good at going fast in one type of car. Which of course he was not super successful at. He is no driving God by anymeans but that does not put him in the below average category. His GT2 rs review is probably one of top 5 best automotive reviews. And the footage i fairly raw. He can articulate the emotions of a car on similar pace to Clarkson, but can actually do it while cocking about like Tiff. Clarksons still better at reviewing cars for what their intended to be. But if when im looking to see how I might like the dynamics of a car im going no further than this man

Luv that "base yes go with throttle up and let the see physics in all its glory". Comes back to physics the speedtail has the advantage off the line thx to its low weight, but the power of the jet soon takes over, still love it anyway probably a completely pointless exercise but completely luv it anyway.

I agree, people have to start realizing that this isnt the original top gear anymore. It just cant be. Rory and chris both tried their best, and you can see it in their performances.

Chris Harris is a great driver and journalist, but his real talent is being able to do both at the same time... How does he drive these cars so hard while providing incredible commentary?. I'd have to have my full attention on the road if it were me.

Even though the newer episodes arguably have better production quality than old Top Gear, I don't think they will ever be much of a success. I still enjoy it, just for different reasons. Top gear is a one of, this is just really well produced petrolhead content

The production quality in Top Gear really is awesome, second to none in TV. However, adding the "ker-chunk" sound effects whenever Chris changed gear in the Renault was very unnecessary. The viewers get it, it's a manual.
