"This is the best thing you can buy for your money, hands down, right now." A good review with a proper yes/no ending. We need more of this. Thanks Joel.
The great thing is that because we finally have an affordable 3D printer that prints amazingly well, that will force the other companies to reduce their prices also.

Those "ribs" in the CNC/CAM world (MasterCam, etc) are called "Facets". The reason they are on your models is because your machine is running "point to point". I assume your files are in G code. CNC machines have the codes, G2 and G3 that do circular interpolation and generate smooth arcs. Software like MasterCam can reduce the facets in point to point toolpaths (G1) if the user sets a smaller tolerance from true profile when generating the toolpath.(But the file gets very large.) Maybe there is some software that can update your printer to run G2, G3 commands. If not , it might be a good project for the RPi guys :)
Joel you have inspired my to purchase my first 3D printer a Creality 10S Pro. I've been a maker and craftsman my whole life while "working for the man". I run a software development shop in Olympia and am still looking for what I want to do when I grow up. Maybe I can walk away from corporate America and become a TH-cam content creator like you. Keep up the GREAT work!! I am thrilled to see you include your children in your channel content. High 5!!
Thx Joel for your review. I really have to state that for me you are the most mind opening, easy to listen and well narrating tech reviewer out here on TH-cam. Never thought I would become a YT channel fan, but finally I am. Keep on your good work! Looking forward to your next video and my CR-10 :)

So after getting a Monoprice Mini as my first printer I quickly realized that, even though it's a fantastic little machine, it's VERY limiting, thinking about getting a CR10 due to its relatively low cost for a huge size and presumably good quality. Thanks for the review.
Hi Joel If you want the bed temperature to rise above 85, do it quicker, easier and stay more stable, then it's really easy just insulate the underside of the bed with floor or wall cork tile/s the best part is its cheap and safe. I find on a 220 X 220 bed the improvement is about 40% quicker to heat up. The large area on the 300 X 300 bed allows for insulation on top of the cork also to be installed, there are several methods from foils to pipe lagging (you know the black gooey stuff with tin foil backing etc. All in all this is easier on the PSU and cost less to run the printer while increasing its lifespan. Please remember no foil near the power input to the bed.
Definitely worth every penny. We purchased this printer about 6 weeks ago, took about 12 days to ship. This is our first printer...it couldn't be easier.
Thanks for the review. I've had this printer for a month now (my first 3d printer) and I'm very impressed with the results. Arrived, in Germany, within 2 weeks of order and was up and running within 1 hour of opening the box.
This printer has been wonderful. Got it within about 10 days of ordering it, assembled in less than 45 minutes, and the first prints came out wonderful with no tweaking. I ordered mine through TinyMachines who perform some QA before shipment to weed out a lot of the errors people get with GearBest. Also if you have any errors they have a great customer service and online presence. Highly recommend this printer, and also highly recommend TinyMachines if you can afford the extra cost. Since this isn't my only printer, I installed a 0.6mm nozzle on it, and may go bigger some day. I would recommend if this is your second or third printer, to increase the nozzle size so you can print faster. Those HUGE models will take forever on a 0.4mm nozzle, so I made it so the CR-10 is my big printer that I typically only use for big models. It can handle the small models great, but it makes sense to target different machines if you have different machines.
OMG, I did not know this. My order has been processed and is on it's way to me. I'm a subscriber (NUBE) and I hope now that I have found your channel you won't disregard giving tips on this printer's usage.
i bought a CR-7 last year and its AMAZING. printed beautifully out of the box no tuning at all. also about the same price, but no heated bed. im definetly getting one of these.
GPL is basically a contract between you and the company as to what you can do to the software (firmware) and what you can expect from the company supplying it. The problem in this case was that Creality used Marlin as the base code for the firmware on the Printer which uses a GPL (there are many different ones that have different requirements) that states they had to release the source code showing the changes done to the Marlin original source code (it was not an all new code they used) They initially refused stating they did not have the source code only the hex code then some licensing agreement issue, at the end of the day, from what I understand is Naomi Wu stepped in and explained the GPL to them in their native language (chinese) and the source code was released.
GPL is a software license. One of the many. It forces users of GPL software to release their edits of the same software. Chinese don't have to do this because they can steal, pirate, and create 100% illegally, but still legal for them. It was nice of them to actually bide by other countries rules and open source it, though.
Hey Joel, thanks for all your work and advocacy in the 3D printing world. However, there is one thing that mystifies me regarding the CR-10's lack of support for thermal runaway! The 3D printing community for years now have hashed over this issue, complete with videos of user's houses that burned up, etc. and the necessity for this protection is pretty well established. I gather (please tell me if this is wrong!) that Creality had some trouble in finding the undersized capacitors they were using as the culprit for unstable temperature sensor readings, so instead of fixing this, they just turned off the runaway support and shipped the printers! So, why isn't it pretty important to tell folks about changing the firmware to a version of marlin you can control, enabling the thermal protection support, and upgrading the control board with better capacitors if needed??? I have a CR-10s I bought just one month ago (June 2018) and its temperature readings appear stable, and I love the machine otherwise, but running with no runaway protection makes me distrust the printer until I upgrade the firmware, even if it means not enjoying some of the other features of the printer.
I love that you did not remove the video. But did change the title according to your negative findings and added the description if them in the video description. You earn my respect for handling it this way. It is still a machine worth looking at but lets first see if they will fix their GPL violation.
Do not order form gearbest, dont have them in stock, payed additional dhl express and they dont want to give back money, instead they sent 2 rolls of filament and treat it as the order that i ordered Hustle company
Or they will hold your item after you paid claiming that you need to pay for it to go through customs. Refuse to give you the money back. Happened to me.
Gearbest can't hold anything at customs. When it is in customs it is in your country. Plus if it is being held up for "ransom", learn which carriers do that sort of thing. For example I will not accept anything that is handled by UPS. Crazy brokerage fees on top of tariffs.
Not true in my experience. I've ordered many things from Gearbest and they arrive within the announced range of dates, usually on the fast side. I had one item that was running late past the expected date and I contacted Gearbest not to complain but to see if they could track it. Instead, they sent out another one immediately, no questions asked. I ended up with the first shipped unit a few days later and the second one arrived on time. No extra charges.
Ordered mine 2 weeks ago and I just got a tracking notice that it was checked in in town tonight and I should have it delivered to me tomorrow. Life is good!
Fully agreed Joel! I got my CR-10 a few weeks ago and for the money it´s just incredible. I love my more expensive machines especially for their auto leveling etc. but for under 400€ the CR-10 really blows my mind.
Joel, really nice channel! I'm digging through it tonight. I would like to combine 3d scanning and 3d printing to enable the fabrication and replication of LARGE multi rotor propellers. The Creality CR-10 sounds close (too small, but close). Any recommendations for 3D scanning that can cover up to 24" long objects? Any videos that give an overview of interfacing the systems?
I ordered mine a few weeks ago with a coupon. Can't wait to get started! It's my first 3D printer ever and I already have some little projects waiting to be printed. I love this channel. keep up the good work! *high five*
Thank you for your neutral review. 3D printing is going ahead at a pace. As somebody who is getting back in to aeromodelling, 3D printing is key to providing a light example of those awkward shapes to scale such as the nose cone for a Vulcan. The CR-10 appears to be a reasonably priced option for the enthusiastic amateur aeromodeller. Regards, Michael Kitchen, UK
these reviews are awesome and very informative , you want to know the ins and outs about the purchases ,specially when products are shipped and the kind of guaranteed that they use to either send the product or refund!! I work hard for my money!! I need quality and fast response , thanks!!
Been using the CR-10 for almost a month now and I will say I am very happy that I bought it. Glad that it's not just me that really enjoys this printer.
0.05 mm is the minimum, though if you really want, you can change the nozzle to print at even at lower heights. Note that 0.05 mm is already really low.
@@tmike4160 I bought an Original PRUSA i3 MK3 and it came with some gummy bears and a used fedora. Best $1600 ever spent, now i can belittle people who got cheaper copies of my beloved Original PRUSA i3 MK3, doesnt matter if they are the same or better quality they aren't Original Prusa! and that intermediately makes it superior to anything, HAHAHAHA those Stratasys printers are mere pheasant tools besides the mighty Original PRUSA i3 MK3. Sent from my Original PRUSA i3 MK3 with Tapabragg™
Joel, I couldn't agree with you more about the CR - 10. I've had mine were a couple of months now and am very impressed with not only the quality of the prints that it produces but also the reliability of the machine. For the last month and a half I've been using mine in a production mode printing pretty much 24 hours a day 7 days a week stopping it only to change out the filament and/or start a new print. So far, it is proven to be extremely reliable without a single mechanical failure or glitch. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to seeing many more shows from you.
The CR-10 is rated to print down to 0.1000mm and I have done some test prints at this setting and it worked great. Most of my prints are done either at 0.2000 or 0.3000mm depending on the object I'm printing. I find that for most ojects 0.2000 works great if you're looking for good detail.
Thanks for the review Joel. I've had my CR-10 for a couple of months now and couldn't be happier with it. I got it from BangBest (I can't remember which one) for $369. I have printed out most of the little modification items and they work well. I admittedly have only used PLA on this machine but have never had a failure. I use the thing almost daily with no issues so far. I highly recommend this printer.
I'm one of those ppl that bought the CR-10 with your coupon code on GearBest. Glad to see it's helped, and sad to hear it might delay my shipment :/ Can't wait for it to get here though !!
Gatta are u sure? i mean i dont mean to be a dick or anything but alot of people are having issues with this printer but like i said in my other comment, most of them order it from gearbest and they ship it sometimes with warped beds, broken pieces etc and if you order it from tinymachines you get a full working machine because they inspect the hole thing and make sure you have fun. and i was so worried on wich one to buy if this or the prusa since am new to all of this 3d orinting stuff
I'm someone who got it from Gearbest, and the ony flaw I had was a slightly warped glass bed plate. As an example, I printed out Maker's Muse's Tolerance Test, and was able to separate the 0.15 knob, meaning it literally performed better than every FDM printer MM had at the time he made the test. I am not only happy with mine, I'm ecstatic.
Valandar2 lol fair enough. i really want to get in this cr10 hype wagon. and out of all the 3d printed guys over youtube, i only trust joel. and thats why i was waiting on this review.
I fully understand. I should note that I have replaced the glass on my bed with a mirrored tile from Lowes, 6 for $10 at my local one for 12" x 12". They're flat as can be, and I have extras in case of disaster.
I'm surprised Joel didn't respond to this one... The taller on is "Spin Vase" by Devon Montes at www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-spin-vase-38295. See also similar "Spin Vase 3" at www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-spin-vase-3-41523 I can't figure out what the shorter ribbed vase is, but if you (or Joel) know please drop me a line. Thanks!
So glad I was an early adopter after seeing Preston and Jesse review the CR-10. I ordered mine through gearbest for $369+$40 shipping and got it within two weeks. I hear all the horror stories on the Facebook group now about gearbest charging too little for shipping and not being able to get these past customs without paying gearbest extra.
You can still get in on the “Early Bird Special” on Kickstarter to get the CR-6 SE for $319 with auto-leveling and a 32mb processor. Last I checked, there was only 693 offers still available. When they are filled, the offer goes away. When it debuts to the public later this fall, the price will be around $899. Don’t wait, go to Kickstarter and lock your price in now!
a week ago...... still says "processing". I thought it would be at least be sent out for delivery days ago. I read online that it could 4 weeks to arrive at your door. It's making me nervous actually....
WTF BBQ I believe I ordered mine about a week ago too... From what I've read online majority do eventually make it to your door but I've heard of many varying shipping times. I'm starting to feel the same way though, I'll be happy as long as it ships fine trying to be patient
I ordered from GB on June 22. I emailed them yesterday about the processing time and they replied that there is high demand, but they expect to ship during the week of the July 10. So maybe a month plus shipping. Patience building exercise. I spent some time learning Cura. I read all the assembly instructions and watched all the videos. I even looked into how to modify for a dual extruder. Now I can just wait I guess... ... ...
I still love my Folgertech FT-5. It has the same print volume but does cost a bit more at 500 USD but it is a solid and rigid frame that is easy to enclose. Could you do a FT-5 review?
Dave about a month ago I was trying to decide between an ft-5 and the cr-10 but I went with the cr-10 for a few reasons. 1. It comes almost assembled, and 2. It was cheaper for less hassle. I have built 2 ft 2020 i3 kits and they taught me a ton, but I wanted something that just worked out of the box without 20 hours of build time. The cr-10 was cheaper and took less time to get amazing prints. Just my opinion of course.
You have the better printer with the FT-5. I've build several printers from scratch - including a heavily redesigned C-Bot/D-Bot build and I can say with certainty that closed frame printers like the FT-5 are inherently more rigid. Also, the mendel style moving bed is heavy and archaic. A machine that only moves the heavy printbed slowly in Z is going to have much faster and precise X and Y moves. It's all about inertia. You can't break the laws of physics. The closeup of the fins on the rocket at 2:05 show heavy ringing and artifacting. This is a sign of high axis inertia and /or a lack of rigidity.
Thanks so such an awesome review. I have been battling with going for a Prusa mk3, Ultimaker 3 extended, and also the Raise N2 + (I really liked that, but there isn't enough info on the internet, I also tried to call them and no answer today, plus it states sold out on their website, so it concerns me they are not legit.) For the Money, would you advise the CR-10 (big helmet builds etc) and a Prusa mk3 for smaller items like Spider-Man lenses? Love you page and your advise is appreciated
I've got a Raise3D N2. I really like it. Main problem is print bed adhesion, BuildTak doesn't work for me so I flipped the plate and use hairspray on glass. Not the best option, but it works. Besides that it prints very reliably and the dual extruder feature is worth it. Although $3k (inc shipping) is a steep price to ask.
Why do you need both the Prusa and the CR-10? Just wondering. I started looking into 3d printers this spring and thought I'd get myself a Prusa for Christmas.
Hi No Limit Designs. I work for Raise 3D, and I assure you we are more than legit. Feel free to call us at 1- 888 - 963 - 9028. I may even answer the phone.
Hi Seris, an idea is to use a glue stick like kids use in school on top of the Builtak surface. We do that. Also, make sure that your bed temp is high enough to ensure proper adhesion!.
Also backed it and it doesn't really matter how they compare I think. The obsidian has less than half the build space this thing does. My mpm has the same surface as the obsidian and likely print quality will be roughly the same is my guess, but the deluxe obsidian will have way more features. Same thing here, as his past obsidian review showed it was nice printing with nice features. I can say though, after 3 weeks with my mpm, I want a cr10 for the build space. As does my wife. 120x120x120 is way smaller than I figured.
These really are fantastic machines. There are a few aerospace companies that use them to print prototypes before a final print is made with a different material. I can’t wait to get one of my own.
Joel, thanks for all your videos. Watched them all and I really appreciate the time you put in the videos. Today I bought my first 3D printer the Creality CR-10!
The CR-10 you recieved must have been pre-tested by the manufacturer because out of the box these 3D printers are just a shabby as all other Chineses 3D Printers. * Limit switches are all randomly placed with no stop plates or ajustments. This is the most critical but simple parts of any CNC machine. * X axis of the bridge has no packing spacer so it took and hour just to get the bolts in the bottom. * No manual or setup guide, just a single sheet of rubish instructions. * No plans so you don't know how the thing is suposed to go together or be fixed. If you are a Nerd do the tech stuff not the car sale babble!
Hello there, thank you for sharing your review. I believe “Our World is a Shared Experience”… I’m very new to 3D printing, although I’m aware of its existence (of course). I’m also disabled, so I keep dropping things very easily (e.g. dropped my Camera Lens to pieces, iPad and many other things.), so to avoid those I keep buying things to support me for my Photography and/or Woodworking (very limited though) hobbies. Then I realised most of them are actually made on 3D Printer. So, I reached out to one of my good friends in Poland 🇵🇱, who recommended me to try Creality printers. There was a Sale on here on UK 🇬🇧 so I took the advantage and bought their Ender-3 S1 Pro for roughly £280 GBP (somewhere +/-$325 US). I also bought two spools of PLA Filaments. As I said, I never used any shapes of 3D printer nor seen until I bought mine. My question is which filaments will be good for me get to print those stuff (e.g. Long handled Star Knobs for my Camera Tripod, Zero Clearance Plate for my Table Saw, Mitre Saw, etc.,), so they are strong, useful and long lasting, please? I also looking for the Startup Settings (NOT the Installation instructions) for newbies/dummies like me without any success. When I contacted Creality, they said all instructions are in the SD Card provided. Guess what, apart from how to check the motherboard/circuit board inside, Troubleshoot and others those come way after anyone can actually start walk. So my another request if I may that is, would you be doing or done any videos like as I’m looking for, by any slithering chance? Please let me know if you don’t mind, and thank you in Advance!!! Look after yourself and each other & Stay Safe… Cheers matey!!!
Love you channel. We "had" 3 of these as when we tested the first we were very pleased with the quality, especially for the price, BUT, over only a period of 1 month we have had nothing but problems from all 3 printers. They need constant adjustment and often fail, added with the nozzles clogging, bed level often going out of alignment to mention just a few. If you print often, and want reliability, Forget the CR-10! When they work they work well, but holy $#*¥ the reliability and quality of the actual printers is terrible
i agree..coming from an older prusa i3 i bought about 3 years ago, got a cr-10 a few days ago and I have never seen output this good from a FDM printer. its also extremely reliable..just completed a 19 hour print and it came out flawless
Awesome video Joel!!! (I am also Joel lol) After watching your previous video and the others mentioned in your description I ordered on of these 2 weeks ago and received it on Thursday; it has been printing almost constantly ever since. Very good user experience, especially considering this is my first 3D printer. I will be uploading some CR-10 videos to my channel soon, hopefully I can share my experience and (limited) knowledge to help grow the community as you have been doing..HIGH FIVE!!!
Waiting for our machine now, exited as flock. Your channel is stepping up it's game! I cannot but wonder how valuable your "early" 3D machine collection will be worth in 2 decades or so. Hope you keep the boxes :D
Thumbs Up! As a RULE OF THUMB, I always scale the model in the 3D Modeling software, to proper dimensions, plus or minus the tolerance of the material shrinkage. I do not use the scaling feature of Cura or the printer software as I have found, as in your video, some inconsistencies in equal axis scaling. I have seen a lot of machine reviews and given there are some good and bad machines out there, you'd be surprised what a cheap machine can do in the hands of creative and meticulous operators if you know the basics of 3D printing and what is really important. I started with a Fabrikator II mini and if I did not tell you some of the parts I have made on this tiny machine, you would think I made them in a much more expensive machine. It boggles the mind when I compare them with parts I use to print on an original 3D systems SLA machine of 100k plus dollars back in the early 90's. The stuff we can print these days on our tabletops, is simply awesome! If you can design and print, both, even better! We are so spoiled these days, in so many ways!
Great review Joel - I've been waiting for your opinion on this printer but didn't have enough patience and went ahead and bought it on a gamble. I'm glad you finally had a chance to review it though, as I'm sure there are a lot of other guys out there still on the fence and will jump on this based on your review. Hope to see your thoughts on all the various upgrades out there and all the other models you plan on printing. Keep up the great work!
Just amazing how quickly this technology evolves. Now you got the flsun resin printer out for $500. another good video Joel as always. Thanks for sharing. God bless
I bought mine yesterday on Amazon for $530 and it will arrive tomorrow. Can't wait to start using it. Had a Anet A8 and loved it but the LCD screen just took a poop so....Upgrade!
"Best at what you get for your money" is fair enough. I do miss comments on limitations, like usability, reliability, consistency over time, choice of materials etc. (ABS was mentioned).
Fantastic my brother , I am always fascinated with the technology and is insane how humans we are creating such an amazing machine! not to sound cliche ! thanks for the video and the ability to explain in normal language for us newbies. I am considering just start creating things. thanks!!!
When I got mine, it was at the beginning of the Craz of the CR-10. It only took me a week from the day of purchase to date delivered. I got it on sale for $415 all total. I've never regrated it. Now I'm getting into photogrammetry and printing things that I want to print that you could never buy at a store or online. Was at Disney for vacation and took about 30 somewhat pictures of the Haunted Mansion plaque at the front gate and so far it looks great.
Glad you like it. I have two of them now. Both $369 from GearBest with coupons from Chuck's site. 100% agree with the scaling. I ran into the same problem and no longer scale through Simplify3D. You know how much I love my Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2 using the plated nozzle you gave me, but it kinda just sits in the corner now. So many bigger things to print. hahahaha High five.
Would be nice to have a video on Updating the firmware, I have two CR-10 printers that have different UI options and behave different but are still the same model except one had leveling knobs.
Hands down one of the best review of this printer. Great job. Now i can buy this printer. This will be my second printer after Hobbyking Fabrikator Mini V2
I might have bought that if I watched the two reviewers who gave it the best bang for your bucks. I did get an Ender 5 pro, and I broke a stop sensor the first time I turned it on. So I am waiting on that to come in tomorrows mail. I will consider the CR10 for my next printer if nothing better comes along. This 5 pro is what I will use to get up to speed on everything. Once I do that, the next printer will be ordered.
Excellent review. Based on the print examples you showed and your review, this could very well be my next 3D printer. Thank you for the informative video.
i can print abs with my open air anycubic mega X, all i needed was some painters tape and school glue so that i will stick to the bed. i have it in the basement on the work bench my late grandfather constructed. he would absolutly love these printers. (he was big into railway modeling when i was a small child) (we lost him in december, i miss him dearly)
Yesss... Thanks for the video! Can't wait to get mine...
When?
Did you get one ? How was it ? Recommend any others ?
"This is the best thing you can buy for your money, hands down, right now."
A good review with a proper yes/no ending. We need more of this. Thanks Joel.
Sebastian Finke
Not all reviews should have a yes or no ending.
The great thing is that because we finally have an affordable 3D printer that prints amazingly well, that will force the other companies to reduce their prices also.

Good luck getting one. Just waited 6 weeks to be told it's on backorder and no estimated shipping date. Was offered a store credit :|
Bummer. I guess we should wait till it's "in stock" before buying.
I think I ordered the last one about a week ago. :)
Coming from CAD, and saving in STL (At least n solidworks) you can customize the save operation to STL and get rid of AALOT of that :)
Joel you have inspired my to purchase my first 3D printer a Creality 10S Pro. I've been a maker and craftsman my whole life while "working for the man". Thx Joel for your review. I really have to state that for me you are the most mind opening, easy to listen and well narrating tech reviewer out here on TH-cam. Never thought I would become a YT channel fan, but finally I am. Keep on your good work! Looking forward to your next video and my CR-10 :)
Dear Sebastian Mueller,

So after getting a Monoprice Mini as my first printer I quickly realized that, even though it's a fantastic little machine, it's VERY limiting, thinking about getting a CR10 due to its relatively low cost for a huge size and presumably good quality. Thanks for the review.
Hi Joel
If you want the bed temperature to rise above 85, do it quicker, easier and stay more stable, then it's really easy just insulate the underside of the bed with floor or wall cork tile/s the best part is its cheap and safe.
Hey, I've been considering purchasing this printer and came across your comment; I just wanted to thank you for it.
"A pretty vase is kinda boring to me..."
Totally agree. But like you say, there's something about that vase. Looks great.
Definitely worth every penny. We purchased this printer about 6 weeks ago, took about 12 days to ship. This is our first printer...it couldn't be easier.
Love the new editing, well done Joel!
Liked the shout-out to you also. Your reviews on this unit have been great and it's one of the main reasons I bought one.
+RCLifeOn thank you! I hope you didn't mind the shout out to your findings.
Thanks for the review. I've had this printer for a month now (my first 3d printer) and I'm very impressed with the results. Arrived, in Germany, within 2 weeks of order and was up and running within 1 hour of opening the box.
Stu Manski Where did you order it from? And had you to pay any taxes? I am from Germany as well and thinking about purchasing it. :)
Totally agree. I love my cr-10. Haven't had any issues with it yet.
Hellow sir is it still reliable!?
I'm a subscriber (NUBE) and I hope now that I have found your channel you won't disregard giving tips on this printer's usage.
i bought a CR-7 last year and its AMAZING. printed beautifully out of the box no tuning at all. also about the same price, but no heated bed. im definetly getting one of these.
thanks for drawing attention to the GPL issue. I'm no not getting a CR10 until they get their house in order
they did go open source: www.reddit.com/r/CR10/comments/8bjlbv/creality_is_going_100_open_source_thanks_to/
What is GPL
Great printer
I bought this based on your opinion. I cannot thank you enough. I love it. It is awesome.
Do not order form gearbest, dont have them in stock, payed additional dhl express and they dont want to give back money, instead they sent 2 rolls of filament and treat it as the order that i ordered
Hustle company
This so much.. Even tho I understand trhese Channels get free printers they are just promoting scamming websites..
Charliebrm1 that's you I'm just saying what has happened to me and countless others. Google it.
Ordered mine 2 weeks ago and I just got a tracking notice that it was checked in in town tonight and I should have it delivered to me tomorrow. Life is good!
Wow! This is a great, informative review!
Well ... so did ya manage to do it? ... and if yes: how? 👀
I just put mine together yesterday. Been printing all day!
This is why I subscribe to you. Iv been looking for a good printer with these kind of dimensions!
CR10s S5 my dude
I ordered mine a few weeks ago with a coupon. Can't wait to get started! It's my first 3D printer ever and I already have some little projects waiting to be printed. I love this channel. keep up the good work! *high five*
How was it?
Editing LEVEL UP!
really
lol
why is there an icon after your name?
which i cant recognize
I absolutely love the factual information you give mate! I'm just buying the machine on your review and I know I'll be happy with my purchase
Regards,
Michael Kitchen, UK
+Michael Kitchen YES! For the price it's a great machine.
these reviews are awesome and very informative , you want to know the ins and outs about the purchases ,specially when products are shipped and the kind of guaranteed that they use to either send the product or refund!! I work hard for my money!! I need quality and fast response , thanks!!
Been using the CR-10 for almost a month now and I will say I am very happy that I bought it. Glad that it's not just me that really enjoys this printer.
Jeffery Peck what's the min layer height that you can achieve with the CR 10?
0.05 mm is the minimum, though if you really want, you can change the nozzle to print at even at lower heights. Note that 0.05 mm is already really low.
but... but... what about my prusa... i'm still cool, right?
What is the material of the frame?
Our prusa heated bed is still much Superior don't worry
@Phoenixoverlord17X No, it's hype. Signed, a Prusa mk3 owner.

Just bought one and now I have to put it together. I'm so excited to start printing on this baby!!!
The Creality CR-10 S5 prints 500mm x 500mm x 500mm (19"x19"x19") and runs about $1000.

Joel,
I couldn't agree with you more about the CR - 10.
Richard Coggins What's the min layer height the CR 10 can achieve?
The CR-10 is rated to print down to 0.1000mm and I have done some test prints at this setting and it worked great. Most of my prints are done either at 0.2000 or 0.3000mm depending on the object I'm printing. I find that for most ojects 0.2000 works great if you're looking for good detail.
Joel, can we have a mid year review of all you machines?
Thanks for the review Joel. I've had my CR-10 for a couple of months now and couldn't be happier with it. I got it from BangBest (I can't remember which one) for $369. I have printed out most of the little modification items and they work well. I admittedly have only used PLA on this machine but have never had a failure. I use the thing almost daily with no issues so far. I highly recommend this printer.
"Here Josh catch"
Josh: *nearly dies
I'm one of those ppl that bought the CR-10 with your coupon code on GearBest. Glad to see it's helped, and sad to hear it might delay my shipment :/ Can't wait for it to get here though !!
been waiting for this forever omg yayyy
My buddy just gave me the CR10 and now I have to learn to use it. Thanks for the great videos
Does anyone have a link to the big vase he printed?
I'm surprised Joel didn't respond to this one...
The taller on is "Spin Vase" by Devon Montes at www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-spin-vase-38295. See also similar "Spin Vase 3" at www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-spin-vase-3-41523
I can't figure out what the shorter ribbed vase is, but if you (or Joel) know please drop me a line. Thanks!
@@anthonyrich1592 Thanks for the info! I just came across this video and "forget the rocket, where can I get that vases 3d file!" =D
Thanks for an excellent review covering everything anyone could ever need to know about this before purchasing one. You're the best!
Thanks for watching!
Love this video style!
Here from Brazil. Great review! We always use yours tips about 3d printing to make projects in Sao Paulo Fab Labs.
Gearbest takes a loooooooong time to process their orders. By the time I'll get mine to arrive, I'll be over 100 years old.
WTF BBQ Ordered mine and it's still processing aswell, just out of curiosity when did you place your order?
a week ago...... still says "processing".
Ordered mine on 20th and still processing....back order is bull shit
I ordered from GB on June 22. I emailed them yesterday about the processing time and they replied that there is high demand, but they expect to ship during the week of the July 10. So maybe a month plus shipping. Patience building exercise. I spent some time learning Cura. I read all the assembly instructions and watched all the videos. I even looked into how to modify for a dual extruder. Now I can just wait I guess... ... ...
I bought CR10S hands down for me its the best 3D printer I ever own,
I still love my Folgertech FT-5.
Wellcar the rate prices keep flcuating on the cr10 there is barely any price difference now. Especially for the USA plug.
Have had this printer for a few months now and have to agree with this review, amazing printer.

Is it just me or is this black vase fking gorgeous?!
Amazing, where do I find the woman's stl?
Nice little detail with the labeling of the things you were talking about on the machine. That will certainly help a newcomer who are watching.
Hi.. can you please compare the quality of prints with cr 10 and the new obsidian by kodama? thanks :D
Joel, thank you for your hard work and standing up for what is right
hum, I just got the "ender 3".
how has it been working?
@@mrbrodywebb6595 I got a cr10 as well, both a not working atm.
TheSkruer that sucks, sorry to hear that
@@mrbrodywebb6595 no matter how many times I level the bed and sensor.. Stuff comes loose of the glass bed. I kinda regret I upgraded to glass.
TheSkruer yeah, i have had that issue too. have you tried putting down some double sided tape and leveling it with that on? that really helped me
Really glad I just bought this machine. My wife happens to be an awesome shopper and managed to get it for $320 free shipping. Woohoo!
B G - how is it holding up now ?
"Just choice" Showing your age there Joel. =)
MarcoNoPolo hearing it for the first time, using it from now on
saying "choice" is so choice!
I'm not "pro choice" but I like it nonetheless.
These really are fantastic machines. There are a few aerospace companies that use them to print prototypes before a final print is made with a different material. I can’t wait to get one of my own.
2:32 HEYOH
Car sale babble! LMFAO! That's awesome.
3D Printing Nerd I’ve had to fiddle with mine and tweak everything to get it to print nicely. But I knew I would have too.
I got my printer two weeks ago, I was doing my first print after 45 minutes.
Paid up the ass! Ha! That's funny. I've yet to be paid for any review.
uh bullshit, rclifeon raves about this printer
Hello there, thank you for sharing your review. I believe “Our World is a Shared Experience”…
I’m very new to 3D printing, although I’m aware of its existence (of course).
I ordered one 2 days ago. Glad I didn't waste my money. I can't wait to get it in.
Nice to see the new studio and props to your editor for sexing it up.
Sean is an editing deity
i agree..coming from an older prusa i3 i bought about 3 years ago, got a cr-10 a few days ago and I have never seen output this good from a FDM printer. its also extremely reliable..just completed a 19 hour print and it came out flawless
remy hefe is it really that good cause I've been looking at it I just haven't bought it cause I'm poor (jk I just don't Save my money)
Wolf Gaming yes. check out my 75 hours baby groot 250% upscale print. astonishing results.
Nerys I checked it out seems like a great product I'll order mine once I actually get money and gear best can catch up with orders
This was the video that finally convinced me to buy this! Thanks so much for the review!
I ordered one before you guys started to hype it and it has been delayed three times now. Thank you. 😋 I just want it more now.
Hey Joe, I purchased mine because of you and your channel, Thanks Man.
Woo Hoo ! .. My CR-10 arrived yesterday !
(After a 3 week wait from GearBest to California.)
Not my first printer ... but my biggest, baddest printer.
Why "baddest printer"?
Waiting for our machine now, exited as flock. Your channel is stepping up it's game! I cannot but wonder how valuable your "early" 3D machine collection will be worth in 2 decades or so. Hope you keep the boxes :D
Hey Joel, I just wanted to let you know that I love you, and that you and makermuse and Justin got me into 3D printing, and I will never go back 😂
JJ Binks your first and didn't say first you deserve a like.
I love my CR-10, I got it from GearBest and the delivery tine was very long, but the price could not be beaten!
Can't wait for mine to arrive! Thanks for the superb review!
I'm definitely gonna pick one of these up. The print quality is really good for a budget printer.
Love the use of the turn table.
I just received my CR-10 and it's easy as hell to assemble. I have to do print comparisons my Prusa MK2 and CR-10 this weekend.
I'm so glad I've bought my CR-10! Thank you for your advise!
"Best at what you get for your money" is fair enough. I do miss comments on limitations, like usability, reliability, consistency over time, choice of materials etc. (ABS was mentioned).
Thanks Joel, I have just ordered one and it will go well with my MP Mini I have. Excited for the larger build volume
Fantastic my brother , I am always fascinated with the technology and is insane how humans we are creating such an amazing machine! not to sound cliche ! thanks for the video and the ability to explain in normal language for us newbies. I am considering just start creating things. thanks!!!
Flashforge Adventurer 3 vs. CR10? Will be doing a lot of prototypes and sacred geometry shapes.
Thank you for the informative video.
extraordinary prints. love the rate of improvements being made in printers
Just got a used one of these, great video, makes me happy with my purchase!
i can print abs with my open air anycubic mega X, all i needed was some painters tape and school glue so that i will stick to the bed. i have it in the basement on the work bench my late grandfather constructed. he would absolutly love these printers. (he was big into railway modeling when i was a small child) (we lost him in december, i miss him dearly)
