Yea, as an Industrial Designer- I love the fact that he allows the Industrial Design/Product Designers to help guide a product like this. Its obvious they had a big par tin making it very easy to use. He must have a very good relationship with them (many Engineers do not).

Now 1+ year later, closing in on 1.100 printing hours, and a few relatively easy designs (and hundreds of hours 3D printing and 3D design TH-cam video watching), I am so happy I took the jump. From my perspective, the 3D Print community is those who like to tinker, and those who just want to print. Bambu's genius is making a printer that just works at an affordable price. Sure my Prusa MK3S+ printed out of the box, but I'd never pay a price like that again. It's Bambu all the way for me now. All I want to say is that with my purchase of the P1P, I’ve actually gotten excited to use a 3d printer. Coming from a printer that I always felt like I had to tinker with settings or tinker with the machine itself. Now I can just find a model to print, push it to printer, and in a few hours have a finished print. I’ve just been blown away.

I think Bambu made a mistake by not offering a larger format printer before developing something new. They should've just sized everything up and then worked on something new to the table. We (FRC 5090) use our x1c for a ton of robot parts but we are finding more and more often that we just need a slightly larger build area.

They told me to “keep tuned” about a bigger, more advanced model well over a year ago. Sometimes, 1 inch (25mm) makes a difference in whether something is practical or not. There are times when you just can’t break a part into multiple sections.
Love Dr. Toa seems to be a great person and leader.
im new in 3d printing world, and just got my first printer the p1s today actually, so far the unboxing experience has been great and i have seen a bunch of positive reviews, so im just as excited as the ceo's spirit to finish my first print and more prints in the future. (and maybe join in for the drop if i have the money 🙈)
Super smart and hard working …not all 3d printer companies have ceos like that 😏 meet him in person at Formnext he’s going to take 3d printing to a new level next year
What a great interview! Huge thanks.
Would love to meet Dr. Tao at RMRRF 2025. Here's to hoping...
Great to see thanks. I love my P1S 💙💜💙
Yesssss, it is about time for a big printer cant waittttttt
Thats what I’m currently doing, turning my hobby into my job. Love this.
I respect that he admits that Bambu Lab was wrong about bed slingers.
Have had my P1s for a couple of years now, every time I see Dr Tao interviewed I have no regrets handing over my cash to their company, open source or not. Cool dude trying to make the world a better place.
The video is super interesting and I am very happy to see that he is so likeable! Huge Bambu Fan!
Thank You, for the printers❤❤
Great video, I really enjoyed learning about the man behind this amazing company that has definitely changed my life. 🙏
He‘s so cool!! I like that he‘s such a open and nice persona!
I think Bambu made a mistake by not offering a larger format printer before developing something new. They should've just sized everything up and then worked on something new to the table. We (FRC 5090) use our x1c for a ton of robot parts but we are finding more and more often that we just need a slightly larger build area.
