Imagine being so power-hungry that you're killing your own brother and also trying to get your nephew (who is a child) murdered as well. (Now Remake stuff comes) Then he desperately tries to convince Sarabi to become his wife, if the pain of loosing her husband and son wouldn't be enough. Showing what power and wealth can do to people.
I will NEVER get over Ernesto's betrayal. What he did to Hector was just unforgivable; he's a very sweet soul who just wanted to be with his family again and wrote his music from his heart. I say, de la Cruz has no heart at all, and murdering his amigo and stealing his songs to be famous is so despicable!

Mayor Bellwether definitely proved to be one of those you would never expect or see coming; this is why Zootopia was so brilliant. Although, you definitely can't beat Scar killing Mufasa. Absolutely ruthless and well-deserved death in the end.

When I first saw the trailer for coco, I had a feeling that ernesto would be the villain in the movie. I was actually right, but I didn't see miguel's great great grandfather being someone else coming.
Maybe if Ralph cared more about keeping Sugar Rush at the arcade instead of hogging Vanellope, or maybe Ralph should have just talked to her in person, then Ralph wouldn't have become the biggest insecurity that would destroy the internet.
Or maybe if Vanellope hadn't taken Ralph for granted by saying her friendship with him is never good enough unless she has thrills, he wouldn't have struggled with his insecurity enough to only want the best for Vanellope by not wanting her to go Turbo and stay with some racing gal like Shank she barely even knows that well.
The Disney betrayals that took me by surprise are in Ralph Breaks the Internet, Coco, and Zootopia. Bellwether's takeover doesn't fit perfect with the climax ending scenes in An American Tail: Fievel Goes West and A Bug's Life, but it was most surprising. I actually suspected Evelyn's villainy in Incredibles 2. Come on, Evelyn Deavor, evil endeavor. It was obvious. I had a feeling that Lotso should have been higher, he is the most ruthless and evil villain in Disney history. Sorry if it was long, but I had to speak with my mind.
Tangled should've been in the top 5. Rapunzel grew up with someone she thought she could trust. A Mother like figure. That's a Big Betrayal. It Should've been one of the Top 10.

The one that scarred me the most was the betrayal in "Atlantis". I was only 12 or 13 when I saw the movie and I did NOT see that twist coming. I never thought AN ENTIRE TEAM could turn against one innocent person. It was just so cruel and unforgivable.
Technically, Bellwether didn't frame the mayor. He played himself into Bellwether's hands and was ousted for good reason when he went too far in his attempts to investigate the crisis. Bellwether would've had a harder time taking over had the mayor stuck to a legal investigation.

Okay, somebody just let me get my point across like this: Vanellope is NOT a selfish character in Ralph Breaks the Internet. Really, this movie is about her personal growth as a person. I don’t even understand the hate towards her and the movie, but honestly, it peeves me off. Before any of y’all even say anything about Vanellope, YES I AM outright defending her. I want to put something to you hell-sent haters like this. Of course, she was too afraid of telling Ralph she wanted to live in Slaughter Race. This was because she thought it would damage her friendship with him. She still cared about Ralph, how the hell can she even be dumb enough to forget about him? Yes, Ralph heard her, and of course he thought she was betraying him. Now I don’t usually point fingers, but really HE did the backstabbing. Not Vanellope just because she left the arcade and everyone there, especially RALPH. Okay, he tried to mess with Vanellope’s dreams of unpredictability racing, which was NOT a smart move. You cannot purposely ruin your best friend’s dreams just for your sake. The way I see it, Ralph did this to not only keep Vanellope with him, but he also tried for things to go back to the way he used to love for them to go. Y’know, when he and Vanellope were BFFs for 6 years, playing around in the arcade. He wanted that life back, kind of like Vanellope wanted her racing life back, only a bit better. His selfishness and insecurity caused Vanellope to (temporarily) break up with him. By the end, he learns that holding his friend back from her dreams is a bad move, and that he needs to trust her, no matter what decisions she makes. Has no one even considered that he also learns that “life does not always go the way you planned,” something Hiro Hamada says? Of course she says the other racers in Sugar Rush would never miss her. Well, considering what happened at the end of the first film, I don’t know what happened with Vanellope and Taffyta before the sequel, but I can just tell they have another rivalry, even without the help of Turbo. Plus, someone says something about a rotation of the roster. Chances are players won’t even question she’s missing. So there y’all have it. Vanellope is NOT to blame for anything, nor is she selfish. She did the right thing, she is following her dreams, anyone who thinks otherwise is either LYING or STUPID. END. OF. DISCUSSION.

Ralph Breaks the Internet is the worst sequel I've ever seen. The visuals aren't bad, by any means. It's just that the story is relatable. Ralph buying a virus to crash a game with Vanellope inside? That's just cruel, man!
The way I see it, the only reason anything happened in Ralph breaks the internet was because Vanellope constantly whined about wanting something new in her game. Be careful what you wish for little girl.

Disney does betrayal spectacularly. I like it that they usually stick the landing with the aftermath, too. (I haven't seen all their movies so I can't fairly say "always stick the landing".) In Big Hero 6 the series they showed a realistic reaction; Hiro was still healing and wasn't ready to forgive Callaghan yet. The characters lash out, they hurt each other, and they choose how to respond. You can get bitter or better, and that's the difference between hero and villain. And as Ford wrote in Journal #3, "Trust should not be given unconditionally, but it should be given a chance to be earned."
If you ask me, it was Vanellope who really betrayed everyone. She abandoned her game, and tried ditching Ralph for her own selfish desire. How was her choice considered good, when Ralph was given a hard time for doing the same thing in the first film?

What kind of friend tells that to someone they care about, and how was Ralph selfish by not wanting Vanellope to go Turbo like he did, regardless of her role in the game, yet the sequel takes a hypocritical toll by making it seem like everything disastrous happening is and will always be Ralph's fault because he is a man while Vanellope did nothing wrong and is completely flawless, and can do whatever she wants without consequence. It never would have happened if she did not take Ralph's friendship and sacrifice for granted. What if she gets bored of Slaughter Race and wants to keep game jumping to a new race game until she is bored of that one after the other?
Honestly, the scene where Vanellope found out about Ralph putting Arthur the Insecurity Virus in Slaughter Race really did scare me, and not just because they both got into an argument fight, but also that Vanellope threw the "You're My Hero" medal she made for him and broke off her friendship with him. But I'm very relieved they reconciled and became best friends again.

You know something, Msmojo? You may not know this, but I too know what it feels like to be betrayed, myself. In fact, I have a story of my own to tell you. And this is based on a true story. See, I was bullied many years ago when I was little on the school bus in Woodlands Elementary by a girl named Samantha Pike. I remember I was sitting there behind her just minding my own business with my math book beside me when suddenly, without warning, Samantha Pike leaned over my seat, took my math book away, scratched me in the face, made me cry and said, ha, ha, you're never going to see your math book again. And the only person who stood up for me when I was being bullied was my best friend, Andrew Pritchard. I guess I should've thanked him for it and told him how I felt about him, but I guess I just didn't have the courage, strength or time to tell him the truth. And I kept it hidden inside of me for so long that I didn't realize that it was going to be the last time I would ever see him again. And by the time I was ready to tell him, I was so excited that I couldn't wait to get the Flea Market in Longwood before it was torn down with my parents when my mom was alive. But when I got there, it was already too late. He was already gone. And since then, I felt guilty about it. He didn't even bother to stick around to tell me where he was going or anything else like that for that matter. And unfortunately, there was nobody around to tell me where he went to or anything else like that for that matter. I didn't think that things would get any worse, but I was wrong when one day, my mom and I went to Publix for something, but I can't remember what it was that we were looking for. And I didn't think I would run into any familiar faces, but I was wrong when we ran into Coach Jane Kelly, who worked there. And we tried to tell her that I had been bullied many years ago on the school bus in Woodlands Elementary when I was little by Samantha Pike, but do you know what she said? She said, Samantha Pike is a good Christian. Oy, can you believe that? What does being a good Christian have to do with anything? I just got bullied many years ago on the school bus in Woodlands Elementary when I was little by Samantha Pike for crying out loud and this is all you can say to me? Ugh, unbelievable! Who does that woman think she is anyway? How dare she say to me. I can't believe that woman even said that to me. I did my very best to do whatever it took to please that woman and make her happy and junk while I was in that school. And this is the thanks I get for even trying? Seriously? She really hurt my feelings and broke my heart by betraying me like that. And Samantha Pike sure didn't make things any better for me either. What those two women did to me wasn't very nice, right or fair. It made my best friend, Andrew Pritchard a saint compared to this. Maybe WatchMojo wanted to save Incredibles 2 for future lists. But honestly, there are much better-handled Disney betrayals IMO. It’s because The Underminer could have been the villain of Incredibles 2, but instead, Disney just wanted to repeat its cliche of plot twist villains. I respect your opinion, but a few examples of animated superhero film that deserves much better than Incredibles 2 is its predecessor, The Incredibles, Big Hero 6 as well as Into the Spider-verse.
Despite his betrayal of Anna, Prince Hans from Frozen is a tragic example because the novel based on the movie, A Frozen Heart, showed why he did those things in the movie.

I thought that Ernesto betraying Hector would be number one until they showed The Lion King. I guess that the Scar betrayal was so early in the movie, I didn’t think about it. The betrayal in Coco was like a punch in the gut. It hurt even more when we found out why Hector wanted to go see the living, and that they were family. I “ugly cried” for an hour. The second time I saw it, I cried again. Disney sure knows how to get you.

Zootopia was a crime movie for kids. Since Judy hops becomes a cop and most of the movie deals with searching for a reason why predators go savage.

When I first saw the trailer for coco, I had a feeling that ernesto would be the villain in the movie. I was actually right, but I didn't see miguel's great great grandfather being someone else coming.
Maybe if Ralph cared more about keeping Sugar Rush at the arcade instead of hogging Vanellope, or maybe Ralph should have just talked to her in person, then Ralph wouldn't have become the biggest insecurity that would destroy the internet.

The Disney betrayals that took me by surprise are in Ralph Breaks the Internet, Coco, and Zootopia. Bellwether's takeover doesn't fit perfect with the climax ending scenes in An American Tail: Fievel Goes West and A Bug's Life, but it was most surprising. I actually suspected Evelyn's villainy in Incredibles 2. Come on, Evelyn Deavor, evil endeavor. It was obvious. I had a feeling that Lotso should have been higher, he is the most ruthless and evil villain in Disney history. Sorry if it was long, but I had to speak with my mind.
Tangled should've been in the top 5. Rapunzel grew up with someone she thought she could trust. A Mother like figure. That's a Big Betrayal. It Should've been one of the Top 10.

The one that scarred me the most was the betrayal in "Atlantis". I was only 12 or 13 when I saw the movie and I did NOT see that twist coming. I never thought AN ENTIRE TEAM could turn against one innocent person. It was just so cruel and unforgivable.

Vanellope is NOT a selfish character in Ralph Breaks the Internet. Really, this movie is about her personal growth as a person. I don’t even understand the hate towards her and the movie, but honestly, it peeves me off.
Before any of y’all even say anything about Vanellope, YES I AM outright defending her. I want to put something to you hell-sent haters like this.
Of course, she was too afraid of telling Ralph she wanted to live in Slaughter Race. This was because she thought it would damage her friendship with him. She still cared about Ralph, how the hell can she even be dumb enough to forget about him?
Yes, Ralph heard her, and of course he thought she was betraying him. Now I don’t usually point fingers, but really HE did the backstabbing. Not Vanellope just because she left the arcade and everyone there, especially RALPH. Okay, he tried to mess with Vanellope’s dreams of unpredictability racing, which was NOT a smart move. You cannot purposely ruin your best friend’s dreams just for your sake. The way I see it, Ralph did this to not only keep Vanellope with him, but he also tried for things to go back to the way he used to love for them to go. Y’know, when he and Vanellope were BFFs for 6 years, playing around in the arcade. He wanted that life back, kind of like Vanellope wanted her racing life back, only a bit better. His selfishness and insecurity caused Vanellope to (temporarily) break up with him. By the end, he learns that holding his friend back from her dreams is a bad move, and that he needs to trust her, no matter what decisions she makes. Has no one even considered that he also learns that “life does not always go the way you planned,” something Hiro Hamada says?
Of course she says the other racers in Sugar Rush would never miss her. Well, considering what happened at the end of the first film, I don’t know what happened with Vanellope and Taffyta before the sequel, but I can just tell they have another rivalry, even without the help of Turbo. Plus, someone says something about a rotation of the roster. Chances are players won’t even question she’s missing.
So there y’all have it. Vanellope is NOT to blame for anything, nor is she selfish. She did the right thing, she is following her dreams, anyone who thinks otherwise is either LYING or STUPID.

Disney does betrayal spectacularly. I like it that they usually stick the landing with the aftermath, too. (I haven't seen all their movies so I can't fairly say "always stick the landing".) In Big Hero 6 the series they showed a realistic reaction; Hiro was still healing and wasn't ready to forgive Callaghan yet. The characters lash out, they hurt each other, and they choose how to respond. You can get bitter or better, and that's the difference between hero and villain.
And as Ford wrote in Journal #3, "Trust should not be given unconditionally, but it should be given a chance to be earned."

What kind of friend tells that to someone they care about, and how was Ralph selfish by not wanting Vanellope to go Turbo like he did, regardless of her role in the game, yet the sequel takes a hypocritical toll by making it seem like everything disastrous happening is and will always be Ralph's fault because he is a man while Vanellope did nothing wrong and is completely flawless, and can do whatever she wants without consequence. It never would have happened if she did not take Ralph's friendship and sacrifice for granted. What if she gets bored of Slaughter Race and wants to keep game jumping to a new race game until she is bored of that one after the other?

Honestly, the scene where Vanellope found out about Ralph putting Arthur the Insecurity Virus in Slaughter Race really did scare me, and not just because they both got into an argument fight, but also that Vanellope threw the "You're My Hero" medal she made for him and broke off her friendship with him. But I'm very relieved they reconciled and became best friends again.

See, I was bullied many years ago when I was little on the school bus in Woodlands Elementary by a girl named Samantha Pike. I remember I was sitting there behind her just minding my own business with my math book beside me when suddenly, without warning, Samantha Pike leaned over my seat, took my math book away, scratched me in the face, made me cry and said, ha, ha, you're never going to see your math book again. And the only person who stood up for me when I was being bullied was my best friend, Andrew Pritchard. I guess I should've thanked him for it and told him how I felt about him, but I guess I just didn't have the courage, strength or time to tell him the truth. And I kept it hidden inside of me for so long that I didn't realize that it was going to be the last time I would ever see him again. And by the time I was ready to tell him, I was so excited that I couldn't wait to get the Flea Market in Longwood before it was torn down with my parents when my mom was alive. But when I got there, it was already too late. He was already gone. And since then, I felt guilty about it. He didn't even bother to stick around to tell me where he was going or anything else like that for that matter. And unfortunately, there was nobody around to tell me where he went to or anything else like that for that matter. I didn't think that things would get any worse, but I was wrong when one day, my mom and I went to Publix for something, but I can't remember what it was that we were looking for. And I didn't think I would run into any familiar faces, but I was wrong when we ran into Coach Jane Kelly, who worked there. And we tried to tell her that I had been bullied many years ago on the school bus in Woodlands Elementary when I was little by Samantha Pike, but do you know what she said? She said, Samantha Pike is a good Christian. Oy, can you believe that? What does being a good Christian have to do with anything? Maybe WatchMojo wanted to save Incredibles 2 for future lists. But honestly, there are much better-handled Disney betrayals IMO. It’s because The Underminer could have been the villain of Incredibles 2, but instead, Disney just wanted to repeat its cliche of plot twist villains. I respect your opinion, but a few examples of animated superhero film that deserves much better than Incredibles 2 is its predecessor, The Incredibles, Big Hero 6 as well as Into the Spider-verse.

Despite his betrayal of Anna, Prince Hans from Frozen is a tragic example because the novel based on the movie, A Frozen Heart, showed why he did those things in the movie.

The betrayal in Coco was like a punch in the gut. It hurt even more when we found out why Hector wanted to go see the living, and that they were family. I “ugly cried” for an hour. The second time I saw it, I cried again. Disney sure knows how to get you.
