Disney is commonly perceived as being a fun for all the family type of company. Which is probably why dark fan theories of Disney films often pick up and make the movies kind of unsettling.
We hear about them all the time, but today we’re going in-depth, we’re going to be talking about the strange and depressing links between Frozen, Tangled and the Little Mermaid. We’re also going to delve into the time that The Incredibles may have deliberately parroted Ayn Randian philosophy. Some of these fan theories speculate on the true identities of some characters. For example what if Dr. Facilier is really Tiana’s father? It’s the only non-magical way he could be so aware of Tiana and all her hopes and dreams. What if Mufasa became a rain god? It makes sense seeing as the pridelands completely dried up for as long as Scar was in charge, only for the rain to pour the second Scar is killed.
We have some classics like the theory of Jessie being owned by Andy’s mother back in the day. Not only that but we also philosophise on whether Finding Nemo is all a metaphor for Marlon’s grief, and if Prince Charming is simply a metaphor for Snow White dying. We also wonder whether the entire city of Agrabah is actually part of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, after all how else would the genie know all those pop culture references?

I find that plausible, especially since Genie never mentioned having a rule against time travel wishes. Perhaps one of his former masters wished themselves into the future and Genie just tagged along until he could return to the time period he was supposed to be in. Or possibly, Genie was originally from modern times but wished into the past.
Yep. Not to mention that in the song sequence for "A Whole New World" they travel to Egypt and see the Sphinx lose its nose. if it was in the future they would have to have rebuilt this wonder

My favorite Aladdin theory is that the whole story of Aladdin was fabricated by the merchant at the beginning in order to sell the lamp. That's how we have those pop culture references.

The Simba/Scar thing isn't Mufasa being a water god. It is about the old belief of a king being tied to the land. In old times, they believed that is a king was bad, the land itself would sicken and decay. If the king was good, the land would flourish. Just my $0.02

No. It's about the delicate balance of life that Mufasa is trying to impart to Simba before he dies. Over-hunting by Hyenas and Lions causes a lack of the herbivores that help to fertilise the grass, which leads to an abundance of insects due to lack of predators that eat more plant matter than they can pollinate, both of which cause the plant life to perish. This causes both a desolate landscape and a lack of the production of more food for the Lions, which will eventually kill them off. It has happened in real life - that's why nature sanctuaries and poaching laws exist; killing off one species, or causing an imbalance can have pretty surprising consequences (Honestly, it's going to take more than a rainy day once Simba gets back to fix the issue). Within the movie, it also nicely symbolises Scar's unreasonable greed and decadence where he doesn't understand that as a king he has to practice moderation, rather than impulse, and live with the land rather than try to rule over it. Maybe that could be leading into a commentary on our own greed and misuse of the Earth.

Well, there were some cultures in history in which a new king would metaphorically "marry" the land by consuming his honeymoon with a virgin priestess who for that one night embodies the spirit of the land.

Even when I was a little kid I just assumed that Scar had caused over hunting by bringing the lions and hyenas together and now the few prey animals that would have been around during the natural annual dry season were dead leaving less food for the lions and hyenas. The natural dry season always ends with rain and a large fire can cause that rain to come sooner.

Wall-e did not murder his fellow wall-e brothers. He actually was a repair bot that fixed wall-e's that needed fixing. The transport he lived him was a repair shop, But after all the wall-e's wore down, and broke from the weather conditions. He lived alone, being forced to use the parts of his dead brothers, and he had to fill in for his fallen friends. When he met Eva he was attracted to her, because he saw her as his hero to come comfort him from the traumatic experience he has undergone.

There's another theory on why the genie uses pop culture references from nowadays.
The story is narrated by the genie himself in human form, so the story telling might be happening nowadays and, since the story itself is a tale, he could have been embelleshing it a little by utilizing things and facts, recognizable by the ones listening.

So the fact that the Dr. would know who she is, is not surprising. And the building she wants to buy, and where he reads cards are all with in the same 2 blocks. As for the Genie, it's long been believed that Genies or "Djinn" could be real higher dimensional beings, and because of that, are not tied to time (the 4th dimension is time). At the 5th dimension, you can control time, and see the entire timeline. Also a fun bit that at even higher dimensions, it's theorized that literally every possibility is possible, even ones impossible in ours (like breaking the laws of physics) like genies are meant to do. The story goes that once 3 wishes (or 1 in some tales) are made, the lamp is lost to the master until found by a new one. The lamp not only travels through space but time as well. So the first master could be someone from 2001, second someone from the 1500s, 3rd from the year 3000, and 4th from 130BC. Djinns are a cool story just in their own.

The Disney villains getting their magic by Chernabog idea has already been explored by a book series called The Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson who also co-wrote a series about Peter Pan's backstory with a twist with author Dave Barry.Both series although for young adults, are actually pretty interesting reads.

Chernobog was not the Slavic god of all things bad, just the god of darkness specifically which in slavic mythology wasn't even a bad thing. Veles was more of a bad god, and even then he wasn't a god of bad things just a god that was an enemy of the god Perun who was basically Slavic Zeus.

Got one and sorry for my english, I'm trying my best. The incredible tells the story of a man highly depressed because he feels useless and his acts made disasters. He feels unwanted, irrelevant. Syndrome, as his name shows it, is a syndrome. It is himself, portrayed as another guy who looks a lot like him, a guy who causes destruction and endangered his own family. The back story of Syndrome is too close to the one of Mr Incredible for them to be two different persons. They were full of joy trying their best, wanting to save people and gaining some recognition. They realised their existence is vain. Mr Incredible realises his existence is vain, fall in depress, got this syndrome of craziness. The whole movie is about him fighting against his demons, but he can't fight without his family. This shows how pairs are important to save the life of closed one when they feel bad, useless. Syndrome is not a guy but the personification of Mr Incredible's own illness.
Julia Sansnom but Syndrome IS a character. Why would Mr. Incredible kidnap his own baby? Besides,, he is outside the ship with his family as the crazy baby destroyed it.
MystiqueHorizon kidnapping his own child is something that some men do when they are very depressed. Yes in the movie Syndrome is shown as a character, but that's a personification.

It is possible for certain animals to negatively effect their ecosystems, meaning that Scar's greed could've transformed the Pridelands the way it does in the movie, but Simba's ascension as King wouldn't have restored them to quickly. My point was YES, yes Scar could be such a bad King he caused the Pridelands to change the way they did.

Elsa was born with her powers, looks nothing like her sister or parents. I believe she was actually adopted and her true heritage is of the Lin Kuei clan thus connecting the Disney universe with Mortal Kombat Universe which also has powerful sorcerers that could get their powers from same multi dimensional monster stated in this video.....think about it, no one else in Disney has ice powers

I especially like how the Mr Incredible lifting up the globe, which is touching on the iconic Titan Atlas who is forced to hold the world after the Olympians (Zeus, Hera, etc.) overthrow the Titans in Greek Mythology, is somehow related to a book instead of what both pictures are based upon.
The Spider from Emperor's New Groove is actually a reference to the original The Fly, starring Vincent Price.

Facilier was in the diner hiding behind his newspaper for the whole conversations Tiana had with her Charlotte, her friend who wanted to go dancing, and the fry cook in the beginning of the movie, that's why he knew so much about her hopes and dreams when he tried to use it against her.

Actually the whole snow white thing has a lot of different things. I heard that Snow White ate the apple which contained deadly night shade and the only way to get rid of night shade is carbon which the dwarfs have on them which means that the prince never really saved her, it was the dwarfs.
