How can you view your camera from another location. I downloaded the thinkware dashcam and connected to thinkware connected also. There is no way for remote viewing with this camera. Hope they create some fix so that we can view our automobiles and get alerts of events
Hi, great video. Thanks for letting people know how the connected feature do not work as seamless as as the price might suggest. I was able to set it up once, but it stopped working out of the blue. When I tried to set it up again it would not let me register it again. Did you do anything special to eventually get it to work?
After the message I wrote I used my wife phone again and reinstalled the apps and the camera was there, I was able to see it and it looked normal, I closed it and reopen it and it was gone. I hate this app, it says it’s form 2018, I wonder if it’s too old for the U3000, hence all the bugs I have experienced. I wonder if the Blackvue has the same problems. Sometimes I wish I would have bought that one instead, others I wonder if I am doing something wrong. Oh well, I will have to start rescanning then. Thanks for your help.
I am in the UK and have the U3000, like others I set the dashcam up as per instructions and keep losing connection between the dashcam and my phone. Dashcam link is always losing connection and thinkware connectedd keeps wanting me to register the camera, the all of a sudden it will conne to life nd then say I am in driving mode whilst the car sits on the drive. All it then does is drain the car battery. Had it three weeks now and never yet got it to work.. could you do a video of how you set yours up please.
@@RpR_MakesI am still waiting g for support to delete my account to I can register it again since the connected app isn’t working. A bit over a week now. I am to the point where I wish I would have never spend so much money on the camera and the external battery and international shipping. Awful experience, they could spend some money on improving their connected app which says it is from 2018.
Once you buy the single unit, you will not get the hardwire kit included. If you buy the package of front and rear cameras, it will come with both OBD2 connector and the hardwire cable. The U3000 is the one I am planning to get for my new RAV4. I will agree the two app thing a problematic. I also think that their high end cameras should have mobile connection built in were you can just buy a sim with a $5 data plan and avoid have a second unit or phone just to get an internet connection to it.
@@JeremyHill BlackVue do have few Dash-cam that you can install a sim with a data plan and and there cloud service is much better too. But I like Thinkware product. I had there F750 since 2016, installed in an 2001 corolla which I give away a month ago with it. The only problem it had this year with it is that it stopped keeping accurate date and time even do it receiving GPS signal..
This is one of the most indeph videos on the thinkware 3000!! I certainly didn't know about the connection of two apps. Much appreciated!! 👍🏼
Great Video. Thank you for the honest review of this product. For that price the extra wires I feel should be included.
Really good review!!!! Thanks!!!
Good dash-cam, but too much app nonsense!
Most of those safety features my Subaru already has built in.
Anyway, this was an excellent review video 😎

Not sure about yours but mine came with both the ODB cable and hardwiring kit.
Yes it does when you purchase the front and rear cameras

I didn't do anything special. I just kept scanning the barcode over and over until it went through.

Having a separate sim slot is a great idea.
