    No matter U1000 or U3000, still, what's. Missing is a cabin camera.

      Fair enough. Do you use it for Uber/Lyft? If not why do you want an interior camera? Be mindful they can also incriminate you (ex no seat belt or texting while driving)

    What was N O T spoken of in this footage. You can purchase an EXTRA external battery. There are TWO different sized batteries. You can choose one that fits your needs. It is a positive as your vehicle battery is not effected. Also the '' re - set '' button is not spoken about. But, Y E S would and do recommend this vehicle camera. The price for the whole package is worth it. Going '' cheap '' is N O T an option.

    1:32 that plugs into the ODBII port, not the fuse box.

    Thank you for posting this review. I’d considered getting a dashcam but put it off. I can’t believe all the features it has. I’m buying one.

    Thank you for the review, i was just about to buy a different dashcam but your revelation on not using the night vision 4.0 may have changed my mind as reading plates at night was the sole reason i was skipping this purchase.

    Will running the OBD2 Cable in parking mode kill your battery?

    Bought the Thinkware U3000. Can't register the device to the Thinkware Connected app. Tried every way possible, reset everything, contacted support in the USA and Australia, and my supplier. No joy as yet. 5 star price, 1 star experience.

      Sorry to hear! Maybe reach out to Thinkware and see if they can assist with this issue. I know I had no problems on my end. Do you have an iPhone or Android?

    Thank you for the excellent presentation.
    What amazes me is that there are plenty of TH-cam videos giving reviews about the Thinkware U3000, but they always leave out their tests and real-world experiences with the Rear Dash RADAR.
    After watching numerous TH-cam reviews of the Thinkware U3000, I'm puzzled about why the reviewers are skipping the evaluation of the Rear Dash Cam RADAR. They seem to just repeat what the manufacturer says, mentioning that the Rear Dash Cam has a built-in RADAR to detect motion or impacts, and so on. Could it be that they are just doing marketing for the manufacturer?

      Thanks for the comment! I did not test the radar because it only activates when a vehicle is traveling over a certain speed (I believe 40kms/h) so there wouldn't be a way for me to test that on my own without a real world situation. Also in terms of parking I did not test out the parking mode because of the amount of time it would take to get everything set up which is why most youtubers probably don't do it as well. We simply make comments on the features of the rear radar and it should work the same as the front camera for driving and parking mode. Hope that helps explain things!

    Just installed mine and Iove the camera but the wi-fi connection to a smart phone absolutely SUCKS. It took me over 10 tries to get it to initially connect just to set it up and now it won't connect at all to view any footage. Camera is worthless if I can't connect it to my phone.

    Nice vid, I feel some of reviews dont go enough detail about the features of dashcams which is also important. Couple of things Night time they gotta give an update to improve that. Improve their alerts from the camera give times & dates not just how many someone or thing walked or hit the vehicle, better cloud features make their own 3rd party hot spot like blackvue's cm100 havibg to make sure my T-Mobile one is fully charge or with me is very annoying

    Hi. Amazing review. Thank you so much. Just a question, as I was looking at the footage, I couldn’t make out the car plates of the moving vehicles. Is that due to TH-cam compression ? Or it’s the same with the actual footage? Thanks

    • @vancouversworstdrivers
      @vancouversworstdrivers  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! It is much harder for camera to see plates with vehicles moving which is why more and more of them are usually 2k 60fps instead of 30 fps. Eventually we'll have 4k 60fps! In most situations you would be getting in an accident directly in front of the vehicle or behind so I can't see of many cases you would need to read plates unless it's a hit and run. I always recommend keeping voice recording on so you can read license plates out loud 👍

    Does anyone make one where the rear cam is wireless so you don't have to run a cable?

    • @Bbc418
      @Bbc418 ปีที่แล้ว

      No such thing, just run the wire it’s not hard

    • @vancouversworstdrivers
      @vancouversworstdrivers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No unfortunately cameras need a significant amount of power plus the information is stored in the main unit up front. One day!

  • @mzcains1349
    @mzcains1349 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Can you use the same power cables from the U100? I hardwired and connected mine to an extra external battery pack. I don't want to rewire everything all over again just to upgrade one new gen.

    Do you get notifications on your mobile, if the camera is in Energy Saving or Radar mode while parked?

    • @vancouversworstdrivers
      @vancouversworstdrivers  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it does not because in order for that to occur you would need your dashcam to connect to a wifi signal. Thanks for watching!

    hello a question disturbs me on the rear camera of the u3000! where is the rear radar sensor because on my pickup my window is completely vertical which forces me to completely tilt the objective of the lens to view the rear it seems that the radar sensor is on the side of the lens would require me to put an adjustable support to be able to adjust the inclination

    • @vancouversworstdrivers
      @vancouversworstdrivers  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! The radar should be on the device itself, unfortunately I don't know the max tint that the device can operate under. I do know that many of them record surprisingly well....maybe reach out to Thinkware for the right answer! Thanks for watching

    Have you tested the Rear dash Cam Radar?
    Thank you.

    • @vancouversworstdrivers
      @vancouversworstdrivers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No unfortunately I did not because when I do these dashcam reviews I don't hardwire or connect them to my fuse box because often I would need to pay someone to do that. In the future I'm hoping to invest in an external battery pack then I can do more parking mode tests! Thanks for watching

    Thinkware's SOS feature is cool, but it's too bad it has to be manually activated.

    В данном видеорегистраторе во фронтальной камере установлена не самая лучшая матрица Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 со светочувствительностью SNR1s 029. Средние показатели. Лучше чем чем у U1000 где установлена imx334 с чувствительностью совсем ужасной SNR1s 0.59? но всё же мне не понравилось как ночью снимает.
