@SearchofSnowboarding i was stuck deciding if I wanted a true twin over another directional twin, but I think I'd definitely be going with the assassin. I just only started riding in the park last season and am still riding all over the mountain. Plus the new top sheet is siiiick. Also, unrelated question, will you be checking out the new union atlas SO bindings when they release?
I like Salomon for boards, bindings and boots. Currently on a super 8 pro. Very under publicised and rarely mentioned, it's a fantastic board. (For reference, I also currently have a Super pig, Gremlin and Orca.)
@@gregsmith7821 I don't think so, they've got a lot of sick US riders and plenty of notice in the states, there are plenty of brands that aren't as dialed on TH-cam as they could be though
@SearchofSnowboarding Thank you food for thought, as I often wonder why they get left out. I was very suprised and pleased to see this review. Well done.👍
I have the same thought. Super 8 pro is an awesome board. It is fast, damp but not overly stiff. It can carve so hard. I like their shadow fit bindings. Down side to me personally is I ride posi posi, it is hard to adjust the highback rotation and forward lean.
Hey man, thank you for the nice review and clearing up the differences of these four. I am in between the Salomon Assassin and the capita resort twin. Both in a 156 - which one would you choose as an all mountain freestyle do it all kind of thing? That‘s a mouth full 😂 in the end a daily driver with all mountain freestyle in mind. I was always super interested in a Salomon Assassin and this year it seems to be the best version ever.
Any difference between them how they bite to icy hard pack? Edge hold used to be Assassin's clear weak point but I've understood this new model performs better in that sense?
pros: less swing weight for spins, more easy to tweak and move around in the air also easier to get in the air or get bigger air in the first place. to some degree less tiring to ride in good terrain. floats better in powder. pro/con: quicker response which can make it twitchy at high speed cons: less damp i.e. can get bucked around by uneven terrain esp. if its a stiff board. feels less stable/planted at high speed. more expensive
Can’t believe this video came out a day after I ordered my huck knife pro. It’s whatever though still stoked to try it out on some natural kickers
Ive been literally comparing these two boards and found it hard to make a decision. What perfect timing
Awesome, I thought it had been a confusing choice for a lot of people. So what you going for?

@@ChanBan Yeah that sounds like a good decision for you, and yes 100% as soon as I can get my hands on the SO

Sweet quiver, yeah that's funny how you don't hear about the Super 8 much
@@SearchofSnowboarding Genuine question: Could it be that Salomon isn't that big in the sates but the US dominates media such as youtube?

1. Dancehaul 2. Highpath 3. Wolle Nyvelt Fish
As you can tell i'm not a park rider 😅

I'd be interested to know some opinions on their popster core milling. Is it marketing or does it actually create more pop and better ride?
From my experience they are super poppy, I don't think they would take the effort of core milling if it didn't help
Anyone have any thoughts about the Salomon Frontier?
What's the advantage of a lighter board? Also the cons?

Never rode a Salomon but they always looked really sick.
They are. I've been riding them for years.
Love my HK. Got HKP in addition to my HK this year. Can't wait to hit the slope this weekend!
They're super fun!
