    This has been one of my favorite series of reviews maybe ever. I hope you guys keep doing these, especially with Stef specifically. Being able to see him do the same runs with different boards really helps to show the contrast of personalities between boards. Big thanks

    I bought the 2022-2023 assassin and I love it. I have 3 days on it so far and it feels great super light board and playful. It’s actually my first ever board I’ve ever owned and it really changed the playing field for me, I was hitting jumps and butters on this thing where last season I was falling on my ass on a rental.

      First time boarding and it helped that much. How did getting on your toes feels?

    assassin works almost everywhere. maybe not at super high speeds through chop. ive had two and i think il always have one as my daily driver. from december to april i ride almost every day all day, my first one lasted two seasons before the topsheet cracked at both ends during tomahawk, still rides fine. the second one is still going and about to embark on its second full (hopefully) season. good for carving and does float pretty well in powder, kills the park and side hits etc. great looking boards too.

    Why would you choose this over the Shadowban and vice versa? Torn between the two

    I love my one and I have to say it does pretty well in powder with the nose being a bit longer then the tail which I found helped. I’d love to see a review on the pro version

    Awesome review as always! Was wondering if you took a look at the 2023 Bataleon Evil Twin+? it's a super exciting board to me for this upcoming season and there are no reviews!

    Was thinking this might be my next board to progress into after my Flow Verve, may keep the Verve or replace it with this... Looking for something to progress my jump skills on and ride a little harder allround the mountain. Also on the cards are the Capita DOA, or Lib tech Terrain Wrecker... Thoughts?

    • @WhitelinesSnowboarding
      @WhitelinesSnowboarding  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You'd do well on all of the above! The Assassin has been such a popular all-mountain board for years. The same goes for the DOA. Both are great freestyle options for progressing into jumps, but you won't be held back over the rest of the mountain on either.

    I've been riding a Rome Reverb rocker 2014 for 7 or 8 years. It's been a great board but a bit scarred now. This is in my price range and I ride All mountain/intermediate. Would this be an upgrade?

    hi everyone. answer pls , CAPITA DOA or Salomon Assasin ??

      Hi, I have ordered the assassin last week, but I had no chance to try this out. However, I was choosing between these two and I went for Assassing since it is a directional twin and I am not spending the whole day in the park. I think of you are more park focused then go for DOA, if you are an all mountain rider and the park is your secindary terrain then go for Assassin.

    Ya I agree w the homie I got the 58 instead of the 56 and it's much better. I regret not getting the pro tho, I'm kind of aggressive and honestly expected a bit more from the board than what I got. Surprisingly good jib board, XL jumps are fine if u get a bigger size but still a bit washy.

    • @Hnzakro
      @Hnzakro ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I tried both the pro and the normal assassin and in my opinion the pro is not as good, it’s way worse for jibbing and you gotta really press into it to get it to do anything, generally it can go crazy big but I’d say it’s a lot less fun. What do you think?

    • @OHC444
      @OHC444 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hnzakro i ended up trying an assassin pro later on and liked it more that the regular one. The core felt a bit more stable and poppy and I had no issue pressing/ jibbing it but I can see where it would be harder cuz it is a bit stiffer so depends on the rider. I ended up selling my assassin at the end of the season tho idk just felt disappointed by it overall and it broke in wayy too fast and got more washy and unstable underfoot, lost a lot of its pop.

    Just bought this today, this video made it too tempting.. I am upgrading from my Burton operator 2009 so this should bring a lot of fun this January. What was the weight and height of Stef Zeestraten? looks like he has a wider stance, I always feel the 156 is too big for me but I have a slightly wider than average stance myself, 74kg, 5'8''.

    • @stefzeestraten5912
      @stefzeestraten5912 ปีที่แล้ว

      I roll about a 23.5 inch stance and I’m 73ish Kg and 177cm tall. Hope that helps with perspective.

    Man I'm just not a fan of this design anymore. Really loved the ultilization of the nord style wolf designs but the more newer generations of the assassin that came out, the more it started to stray away from that original sort of wolf norse themed design. Bring it back!

    It’s fun but it’s so soft. A lot like the custom and other all mountain boards the companies have softened most of the boards to a point that if you do ride a lot they snap like a twig. I broke a brand new custom first day out just doing turns and they would not replace it bc they said i abused it, but i was litterly just doing fast turns. I wish the companies would go back to making all mountain boards more aggressive again. The shapes are really fun but the boards are just to soft.
