I road a T.Rice pro for a lot of years. It’s a sick board. Super playful. I’m looking at purchasing the Lib Tech Mayhem Rocket at the end of February. Last board I road was a Solomon assassin pro after Mervin manufacturing dropped Nicolas Muller. Mervin manufacturing is where it’s at though so I’m going back.
Great review!! Thanks man. I love to see people actually riding the boards and the grade system at the end is great.... Question for ya... I'm 6'4" 220lbs with a size 13 boot. I live in FL but have been snowboarding for over 20 years. I have both Epic and Ikon and try to ride at least 30 days a year. I'm 45, so my park days are over. I really love going fast on the long, steep blue runs and can hold my own on most blacks. Current board is a Burton Custom 162W Flying V. It's been good to me, but she's 8 years old. I rarely hit any jumps because of my bad knees. I'm thinking of getting this board at the 164W size. Stability and Control are huge for me. I'm a very average, intermediate rider. I can still hit 60mph on the fast cords and I do enjoy cruising through trees and powder when possible. Do you think this would be a good fit for me or any other recs?? Sorry for the essay, but I really wanna get this right. THANK YOU VERY MUCH in advance... -Mike
You will definitely enjoy this board. it seems you have done your homework on size and width! 165ish in length and must be a wide board. If you aren't spending to much time riding switch, check out some directional boards. The best thing to do is demo before you buy. We give 2 days of demo towards purchase, so if you're ever in Vail, Swing through the shop and we can help you!
@@BuzzsBoards Really appreciate the reply!! I just got back from Jackson Hole and demo'd a Skunk Ape. The biggest they had was a 161W. It's hard to find demos for XL dudes like me haha.. Thanks again for the reply and advice. I might just pop out to Vail soon to see you. You guys are awesome/rad!!
I think, buy or not, which style you use ? I have 95kg 181 high and for me recommend 161 minimum, but for me it’s to much I want desk 158-159max and I didn’t know buy or not )
Nah get it. I road it for years. It’s super approachable even for a first board I’d say. But that is coming from a dude that started learning and ridding in 1995 on full cambered boards. I loved my T.Rice pro. Gnu riders choice may be a good option for you to.
I would recommend the 161w. Having size 11 boot you want to try to get on a wide board. Less toe and heal drag. With your height and weight I’d try to keep you around that 160 length. If you’re looking for more of a park only board go for the 157w. www.buzzsboardsusa.com/products/lib-tech-t-rice-pro-snowboard-2025
@@Nibbio_5absolutely. I’ve been riding since ‘91 and ride an Academy Graduate 159w almost every day. I’m 6’3 225 with a size 11 boot and it does EVERYTHING I need it to. For east Vail and the Beaver Creek backcountry I ride the graduate 163w, although I rarely put the 59w away. It’s extremely aggressive and responsive enough to do it all. Personal preference for sure but it really comes down to effective edge.
I have both a t rice pro 155 and a golden orca 161. The t rice pro is definitely softer and easier to butter and jib around with, and the golden orca is far superior in terms of powder float. Aside from that and the camber zones being different, these boards are fairly similar. I'd say the golden orca is more stable through chop and chunder as well, though I chose the t rice pro for my park board because it's just a little more comfortable on board slides.

Awesome review! Showing the board being ridden and how it reacts to different conditions is dope.
Thank you!
I have my eye on this board and love your reviews. I dig you leaving you're crash in the video and not editing it out. we all crash lol.

Would you rather have this or a orca and if so which model?
They are completely different... To explain it the easiest, The Orca is an All Mountain Pow Board and the T.Rice Pro is a All Mountain Park Board
I have both a t rice pro 155 and a golden orca 161. The t rice pro is definitely softer and easier to butter and jib around with, and the golden orca is far superior in terms of powder float. The Orca is the perfect board for front range citiots. They just don’t know any better.
Lib Rig Review coming?
Doesn’t look soft when you butter
Bro, Can you remove the review lib tech golden orca?
I bought myself lib tech t.rice pro, I didn't like him. He's not serious.
Bro’s dreads adds ten pounds
And at least a kilo of reefer resin.
Smoke em if you got em!
