  • This is the most insane wooden roller coaster ever built! Located in Santa Claus Indiana, The Voyage opened at Holiday World in 2006, towering over the park with its MASSIVE 159 foot tall lift hill, and sprawling 6,442 feet of track. The ride feels like a wooden hyper coaster with its enormous airtime hills in the first half, and a fast paced low to the ground second half. There's simply nothing else like it!

I rode this in 2009 with the 7-car train. 7th car front row was the most unreal coaster experience I’ve ever had. This was also before the mid-course trims slowed it down so the extra weight had it flying through the second half. That was the day I became a coaster enthusiast.

  • @Tay_Sports

This ride is worth the trip to Holiday World all by itself. An absolute masterpiece

I really was disappointed with my two rides in August this year. i've been told it was running poorly, but wow was it a let down. Nowhere near as intense as expected, didn't have anything more than mild floater, and the out of control feeling was nothing compared to el toro or the beast at night, and it was rougher than both coasters combined. I'm hoping I can get back to this park in the future so voyage can redeem itself, but wow was it bad when i went.

You describing the layout felt like you were reading the lyrics to that “One hop this time, slide to the left, slide to the right” Cha Cha song. And then I realized that song is literally The Voyage 😂

Yes, sir. The Voyage is the wooden GOAT.

  • @christianortiz793

I still can't believe a park this small built a ride this monstrously intense! This thing is amazing!

  • @zuffin1864

It is really intense. If you have any prior injuries on your back or shoulder, it might not be good for you to ride it is insane. Definitely an insane coaster.

I’ve been blessed with some wild rides around the world, but Voyage seems to always maintain my #1 spot. I’ve honestly gotten to where I don’t think it’ll ever be topped, not even by Falcon’s Flight. It’s just that special

  • @HYDRAdude

I waited nearly two hours to get on the Voyage and it was more than worth the wait! This is easily my favorite coaster, even over Eejanaika.

  • @512TexasRed

I was in that 7th car. You felt like you were gonna die. It was awesome.

  • @prestonjones20013

This is my home park, I’ve rode this and Thunderbird more than any of coasters. It is unreal. Absolutely the best Wooden coaster in the world

  • @garminkid

I rode The Voyage for my first time back in July on a trip featuring Holiday World, Kentucky Kingdom, and Kings Island. I got 10 rides, and while it kinda hurt (also from riding The Legend and The Raven; Holiday World is EXHAUSTING), I fell in love with the ride! There is no doubt that The Voyage is the greatest wooden coaster in the world and also became my number one out of the 170 credits I have. No ride does what The Voyage does. It combines a B&M Hyper (going out) with an Intamin Blitz (spaghetti bowl) and finishes out with the first half of Fury 325 (return trip), all on a wooden track. It’s the most complete roller coaster I have ever ridden and that’s why it’s my number 1. The other coasters in my top 5 are VelociCoaster (#2), Intimidator 305 (#3), Fury 325 (#4), and Lightning Rod (#5), and The Voyage beats all of them.

  • @mjslus02

There was an absolute dedication to having no dead time in this ride. Even in the longest straight sections on the ride back, they made it have a slight trick track wiggle like it's a cat getting ready to pounce. Truly incredible experience

  • @msharp138

I rode it 1st year, 7 car train in the back, at night, right after a rain...The greatest ride experience ever...Hollywood nights is the prime time to go. Later in the season, it will be rough and not running anything near Hollywood night night rides...His description of the ride is spot on during Hollywood nights or the early part of the season after an extensive retracking...

Holliwood Nights 2006 this coaster ran with the 7 cars and all the trims off. Rode it 6 times in a row with my kids . Santa and Elvis were just in front of us. This coaster was awesome.

  • @Aerolandaircraft

THE BEST COASTER STUDIOS REVIEW EVER!!! The Voyage is a coaster I really want to get on someday! It looks amazing!

  • @timwolfe77

Rode it in 2006 and 2007 and can attest it was quite the experience. The ending sequence felt very unique because of how rapid fire the elements came at you while at the same time had no rhythm to them. It was the type of intensity that made a lot of riders laugh. On the other hand, while waiting for our first ride there were two consecutive trains that had an arriving passenger bolt for the garbage can on the unloading platform

  • @TomSavarese1

You two in the back row have made a real niche in the coaster trends. I wish you the best.

  • @ryanfrieman733

    My #1 bucket list coaster!

  • @scottyomcbrian

I remember the first time I rode The Voyage- when it opened in 2006. We got to the mid-course brake run, and I thought "Dang, this is a good ride," to only find out it was only half done. Like your enthusiast quotes, I would call it a masterpiece.
