Test driving the CX90 is a big mistake if you are like me and think you are going to want something like the Pilot or Telluride that has more cargo
capacity. If you really like to drive, the CX90 is addictive. Mazda has a term, jinba ittai, that means horse and rider as one. When you push it, that is exactly how it feels. Getting mine the end of this month!

Rob: congrats on your purchase....you will really like your CX-90. My wife and I bought in Apr and have 3,000 miles and 2 long road trips on ours (Turbo S PP). The engine is great no matter the tune, the interior continues to impress, and the tech is great on the top trims (memory seats, facial recognition, memory wheel and mirrors.). @@starwolf0018 Congrats! Post your #1 Pro & #1 Con of ownership so far!
Pro: Surprisingly I really like the stock Falken tires and I think they are the sleeper hit of this car that nobody is talking about. OEM tires can make or break a great car by themselves. Compared to the stock Yokohama and Toyo tires on other CX series I've owned, these are dead silent on rough and smooth road surfaces, and I've never had issues with grip, either starting out fast from a stop or in the rain (we'll see about Northeast winters soon enough). For long highway drives (which I believe is the real intention of this car, a purpose-built grand tourer for big North American road trips) they are comfortable, precise, and unobtrusive for hours on end.
Con: The i-stop system has a very annoying behavior where it will shut off the engine while starting to brake to a stop, turn it on RIGHT as I come to a stop, then turn it off again a second after stopping. I brought it up to my salesperson but they brushed it off. I might write a letter to Mazda about it, cuz why not.

I'm Liking the CX-90 Premium Plus Turbo S - the only way to go. My 22 Acura MDXAdvance lease expires in August 2024. This is on the Short list to replace it! A MDX Type S which is $13K More is the comparable vehicle for HP / Torque of the CX-90. Yes, the 25 MDX Type S has finally rid itself of the Touch Pad - going with a redeigned Console and Touch Screen for the InfoT. system; more comfortable seating with thigh extensions and massaging features, Air- Suspension with auto Dampening, an exquisite ELS Sound system {now chnaged to a B&O , 32 speaker system, BUT is at least $13K or more than the CX-90 (or the CX-70). I will definitely take the CX-90 Turbo S for a spin for comparison. I'd be curious about two things in the drive: the amount of any Lag from the Turbo; and the response of Mazda's 8 speed Auto Tranny vs. the 10 speed AT in the Acura. My Mazda 6 needed a new O2 sensor and that was a 15 minute job. I had a Chevy Malibu that needed and new cam modulator and that was a 25 minute job. That would not be the case with a CX-90.
Most everything on that inline 6 that needs replaced requires an engine removal. Even the one spark plug is burred behind turbo piping and firewall. The CX-90 is not designed to be easy to work on and even if you don't do your own maintenance you will be paying someone else big $$$ to do it.
